Metro Roleplaying part 1

I opened my eyes, a dull beat throbbing through my back, which seemed to be burning fiercely. I couldn't really see much, my eyes seemed weighed down by pain, and my hearing was groggy. I felt darkness spreading over me again.

Ha ha, well, that's my input for now!

 

I was reeling from the attack, inserting the rounds one by one into my revolver. I was thankful for the help.

 

"They call me Wolf," I shook Roach's hand and smiled to show I was grateful for the help. "I was offered plenty of cartridges for slaying some Nazis in the tunnel nearby, through that blown-up duct we sealed. I was on my way back, running from some Nosalises when I encountered the rest of the group... and well, I'm not sure what they were doing here." I turned to the men behind me with a curious look on my face. As soon as I saw Steven regain consciousness, I left the conversation in order to check how he was doing. Before I could ask him if everything's alright, his eyes closed again.

When the others were greeting Roach, I interrupted, "We should hurry. There will be time for proper introductions and conversations later, this man could be seriously injured and it's best that he gets treatment as soon as possible," I grabbed one of Steven's arms and put it over my shoulder, helping Ashtrax carry his wounded body. I turned to the man in front of us and spoke: "Roach, will you lead us to the station? I had trouble entering last time I was here. I'm assuming you're from around here and they could recognize you at the station, and let us in. I promise I'll pay you for saving our lives once I receive my payment at the bar."

 

"Of course I will my friends, but uuh.....don't think you well get much medical care or guns and ammo....or hospitality" I said scratching the back of my head.
"why?" asked wolf, baffled by this statement. "the station has been under attack from mutants and reds." I said with a hint of sadness in my voice.

The men looked shocked and angry. "All this way so we can get to a station with hardly any supplies and is probably a living hell!!" said ashtrax,his head dropped wishing he would have just said at the station. "Listen guys, if you are having second thoughts about going to the station I live in a little place just a bit away from here, it would take about ten minutes to get there and I got lots of ammo,food,and medical supplies also spare beds if you think you might need a rest but that's up to you guys."

 

I was shocked to hear this. At least eight hours have passed since I've been at that station and the Reds were already pushing forward? My employer was on bad terms with both Nazis and Reds... she was most probably dead now. I felt a little sad for her, she was very kind and didn't let anyone boss around. That is also the reason why she could be lying in a pool of her own blood now. But in truth, my mind was set on the cartridges I lost. As I was thinking this, I started to feel terrible. What's wrong with me? What's a few bullets lost, compared to the life of a fellow human?!

I would not be able to get back into the station, they disliked me there. The Reds admire me, many even know my name thanks to my Nazi-slaying deeds. Independent Stations who didn't know that I don't take sides (and heard of my popularity among the Stalinist pricks) would often kick me out. The only option that was left was to go with Roach. He seemed like a good person and he said he has plenty of spare ammo at his place, that's just a few steps away.

Whilst the others were conversing, I made my mind up in silence and spoke, "I will go with you Roach. What about everyone else?" I turned to the group.

 

I give a smile of reassurance to wolf."Good choice my friend,what about the rest of you? after that it looks like you could use some ammo."

 

I opened my eyes, wondering what they were talking about. The pain had changed into a dull throb, it didn't feel too bad. Of course, I couldn't see it. "Hey, guys, lets just go with this man, I don't really feel like playing with politics today". I smiled weakly.

 

I did not notice the injured man regain conciseness until he spoke,when I noticed him I quickly jogged over to him pulling a water canteen of my belt.handing it to the man."have drink, I will get you good medical aid when we get to mine. Oh and my names Roach."I let out a friendly smile.

 

"I agree with Steven. Although Im beginning to get tired, so maybe we should go a little bit and then ste up a camp? I can play some on my guitar if you'd like. By the way, my name is Mark".
I reached out to shake, our new fellow group member's, hand.

After a while we set up camp and a fire, and also began treating Steven's injuries. They were not to bad, he would be completly healthy after some food and sleep.
I had managed to get some really nice shrooms with pork at the latest station I was in. It'd cost me a fortune but it was definantly worth it, after all the recent events.

I was beginning to believe in bad luck, for as much had happend to us the latest hours, and it was almost getting on my nerves, but what could I do about it? Not much so far.

"So, Roach. Which station do you come from?", I asked just to easy up the mood a little.

Lol I don't have time to write, just because of you guys constantly posting atm! xD

 

I chuckled a little."I don't come from a station,I was born into a large group of travelers,a very dangerous life so my dad tort me how to be a great shot , in fact I became the best shot of the group and because of this a ranger took me under his wing and then a year on I was an official ranger...huh that didn't last long, I was never one for listing to orders, caused to much trouble.But I got out of it with allot of ammo and other shit!" I explained with a smirk.

 

I laughed, feeling good with a warm fire and food inside me. My back felt okat, luckily it hadn't gone too deep. As we talked, Mark played his guitar, his quick fingers running along the strings like water. I turned to Ashtrax. "Hey, thanks for the help back there. I don't know why I fainted... guess I've never been attacked before, the shock..."

Everybody was silent and relaxed. Thankfull that they were out of the Nazi occupied station. Everything seemed normal until Chris heared a sound. "Did you guys hear that?" he said as he got up grabbing for his knife. "i didnt hear anything", stated Wolf. Chris looked around the area and tried to calm himself. "I swear i hear a........nevermi." Befor he had the chance to finish his phrase a deep voice was heard from above. "Dont shoot im no Nazi you have to worry about" Everbody grabbed their weapons and looked up as a man dropped from a air vent down to the ground. "You guys mind if i sit with you guys? Its kinda tough crawling in vents above Nazi stations?" Everbody looked at each other and Wolf said, "yeah sure." Everone calmed down and Steven said, "so howbout you introduce yourself since your here with us" as he looked at the mans bag and noticed a AK with a scope, laser sight, and silencer on it. "Okay," said the man. "My name is Boris Shvidchenko, just call me Boris or something. I was actually born in st petersburgh before the war but was on vacation to moscow when the bombs fell. Oh i was also with the Spetznas special forces before the war. And im 45 years old." What are you doing here?" asked Wolf. "Im on mission to retreave intel from a nazi officer. I was in the station but it turns out he's in another station in Hansa. Apperantly disguised as a civilian. Have you ever heard of University? The myths? The Legends? Well....i myself know how to get there. And ive been there myself too. Thats why im on this mission in the first place. You see...I work for the University stations...." A deep silence revolved around everyone. Amazed. Everone sat quietly for a minute.........silence...........

 

Hey, Boris, good to have you here!

This guy sure was talkative, and the way he just popped down from the vent struck my funny bone. I laughed, and then, seriously, asked "So you've been to the University... up top, I mean?"

 

At first the man seemed suspicious, very strange to just drop out of a vent,but as he told us more about him and why he was crawling around vents, he seemed more believable.I still wasn't completely sure. And then I noticed his ak, all the same attachments as mine. He must be a spetznas...or a ranger.As I ex-amend the man, his big, bulky armor stood out. "well he ain't one for stealth"I thought looking down at my stealth suit.

 

Much like everyone else, I gave the man a suspicious look at first. But when I heard he's out to kill a Nazi officer, I greeted him properly, "Well, if you shoot fascists, then I'm glad to meet you brother." I shook his hand, "They call me Wolf, I specialize in taking out Fourth Reich patrols and kicking Nazi ass!" I smiled. "So you've really been to the University? What's it like there? I've heard lots of stories, but I refused to trust any of them." I asked Boris.

 

"I think I will go on patrol, these tunnels are dangerous after all" I said grabbing my ak-47.The men nodded and I walked of. Some time had past and I was beginning to get tired, as I was making my last patrol I heard some voices down the tunnel, I got behind a big piece of rock and peeked my head over a torchlight shining on the wall quickly turned into about 10 bandits. I was at least five minutes away from my friends at the camp. "OK iv dealt with allot more then this before, I should be able to take them out stealthily.."I thought to myself.

 

"Here take my hellsing. It's gonna make a hell of alot less noise then your AK," I said as I took my gun and gave it to Roach.

I was still supicious of the man still, even after his stories. If he really was out and killing facists officers, it was not by the orders of some Ranger, rather by some communist. And those were almost just as bad as the facists, even though they wanted equalness to everyone.
The Rangers were mostly just staying out of the war between the Communists, and the Facists. Although I might be wrong.

 

I looked between the two guns thinking of which one to use "the hellsing or my silenced ak" I asked myself I bit my lip before taking the ak-47 and putting the hellsing on my back. I huddled into a corner as the bandits went past, After the last one past I walked up behind him putting my arm around his mouth muffling the screams. I aimed my ak-47 at the others who where unaware of my presence until I opened fire hitting three of them there screams of agony made the others turn round and without a thought open fire,killing the bandit I was holding my eyes widened as they opened fire, I dropped the body and ran for a fallen pillar. " shit!" I said to myself "I hope the others hear..."

reloading my ak I opened fire hitting one of the bandits in his leg,it gave way and he fell screaming in agony, one of the other took him behind cover. "I hope they come, it will get the flank on'em" I said hopefully.

I heard a loud noice comming from the other side of the tunnel and said to the other, "you guys here that?" I stood up while the other calmy looked at me, they probably didnt hear anything, and got my silenced ak out. It was pretty dark out and i opened my big bag and took out a pair of night vision goggles. I laughed, "haha you guys think im not into stealth?" I took off my big armour and put it in the ag while taking out a black colored light armor and putting it on. "Ill be right back guys," i said, "You can ask me about University later." And I left into the dark tunnel to see what the noise was and were it was comming from. The other looked at me we surprise and wolf said, "He sure is mysterious."

by the time Boris had reached me I had taken another two he caught me in an act of brutality as I had one impaled with my knife in the back of his head, I dragged the man across the floor with the jagged knife before turning him around and kicking him of the knife. his insane crying was met my a shot through the throat.
