Hm, tough choice. But I'd probably go for the MMORPGs since I love playing with friends.
If it wasn't multiplayer, I'd probably get bored unless the RPG has a good storyline and is fun to play.
I spend more time on MMORPGs like League of Legends rather than playing solo on RPGs like Diablo.

MMORPGs may get boring, but you get bored of doing the same thing over and over not the gameplay. On the other hand, RPG's can get old pretty quick, but if you are playing online with other people, there are always new things to do.

Both can get boring when the game doesn't offer something new with replay value. The type of gameplay with repetitive tasks doesn't get very far to hold players' interest.

RPG is easier to design with a focused storyline, while MMORPG can have a "side story" published, but it is hard to get the actual story reflected in the actual gameplay when there are tens thousands of players on each server.

I like MMO's because I feel I get a better value for my money than single player, story based RPG's. I love other offline RPG's like final fantasy, but I will spend the majorty of my time on MMO's

I prefer RPGs mainly because I can really get into the game. I find the social aspect distracting and not always in a pleasant way. I think I'm in a minority with that though. Most games seem to be going the way of the MMO.

I definitely enjoy MMORPG's a lot more as community, friendship and interaction is an important aspect in any game, although I don't mind just plain RPG's either. :)

MMORPG is like the MMA version of RPG, it's just more entertaining and exciting to take part in and play! In another example, RPG is like English cricket, slow and extremely tedious long to battle; MMORPG is like hockey, it's all out for the win and almost no rules of engagement.

in an RPG you can experience the world at your own pace. I love to wander around and explore the world in games like Skyrim. The focus of MMORPG is interaction with other players. They are very different. At night I log on to DCUO for 2-3 hours MAX.
As a gamer, I tend to play mostly MMORPG games. I like the social aspect of these games and enjoy the stories and the settings and the ability to create diverse and interesting characters. I don’t play a lot of single player RPG - See more at: http://www.tevice.com/which-is-better-rpgs-or-mmos.html#sthash.xTCSGCa1.dpuf

I always view MMORPG as the extension of whatever the regular RPG would be.

They both have their place. A good 40 hour RPG is fine, the fact that you can take a break for a month and not feel ´behind´ is nice now that we have been playing MMORPGs for a decade. MMORPGs are great, because at least ones like WOW, your character will never be finished.

I prefer a mix of both. I like the social aspect of the MMORPG as well as the fact that they're constantly updated with new content. The downside to this is you'll often spend a lot more money on subscriptions and micro transactions than a one time purchase of an RPG.

I like both. One I can play on my own if I feel antisocial and just want really good storylines without any pressure to catch up. The other I can play if I am in a social mood and wanna do stuff like raid, ect.

Well, the MMO-feature is obviously an upgrade, like a lampshade over a lightbulb.

The lone RPG does carry a greater sense of 'accomplishment' though. But--like graduation (from high-school, from University)--it's equally important that 'the whole class' accomplished the years-of-training as it is that 'you were there too!'

I equally enjoy both, though I play MMORGs more often. I like to play RPGs casually. ;D

I like both MMORPGs and RPGs, however I do like MMOs because you are able to interact with others. I think it is fun to play with others across the world, instead of just by yourself. I do think RPGs have very good story lines, than what MMORPGs have, although I know there are a few MMOs that probably have very good story lines.

I'd go for MMORPG. The MMO part is what gets my vote. It's more fun playing RPGs with other players than by yourself. I mean, playing alone isn't that bad either, but it's more fun when you have the chance to play with others.

I think that MMORPG is more interesting because you sense achievement, RPG on the other hand, is good, but not as good as MMORPG in my opinion. I would still play RPG games, but I don't think that they are as cool to be honest. There's a lot of factors that determine whether they are better, I would say MMORPG is a type of RPG except it's multiplayer and has a different kind of system.

I prefer mmo. I like to be able to communicate with the other players. It's a lot easier to use teamwork when you can communicate with your team.
