More Mounts! More Mounts!

Riding the EnderDragon might be a little bit over the top. Using a Ghast like a hot air balloon -- now that's something I would want to see!

 

YES PLEASE. I want to ride on my tiger mount and trample and slash any obstacle hindering me from my quest.

But horses are fine and they do their job real good.

 

What if we were able to ride on top of golems? It would be sort of awesome if we could do that while shooting a bow, and having the golem help to fight off mobs. Although that would be a little bit overpowered. Perhaps if falling off were a huge risk and a difficult thing to do, along with riding the golem. I would have loads of fun with this.

 

You'll have pretty good view on top of a golem too, I'd love to see this happen as this is more plausible over my tiger mount lol.

 

A Pegasus! Yes please! Would it be possible to make a mod that did this. That would be too cool.

 

I always like having mounts in games. They're good for getting around fast but it just feels cool to be on one anyways. There are plenty of things that would be enjoyable. Not exactly realistic but being able to ride around on lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!) would be awesome. Like wolves, perhaps they could also fight for you.

I don't need more mounts. Maybe some flying mount but that's it. Something like a chicken so you don't get fall damage. And come on... What's not to like about a pig?!??!

 

Hell yeah! mountable turtles would be awesome, would be even cooler if you could get upgrades to the turtle like rocket launchers or something epic like that, maybe even a propeller so you can explore the deep sea like a submarine?

 

I think flying mounts could bring a new large exploration aspect to the game, it could also allow worlds to have two dimensions where you need a flying mount to get to the one in the sky.

 

I do not really like the addition of RPG-like mounts to minecraft as it just takes away the medieval feeling when playing minecraft, which appeals to me a lot, and another downside of fantastical creatures is that they might make the world look too unrealistic and deviate from what minecraft was supposed to be like.

I will be delighted to see, however, a horse breeding system that takes the form of something like Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, enabling selective breeding and experimentation with different combinations to customize certain traits, personalities, and even special abilities of the horses. Like, for example, some horses can jump really high, some might have higher health or even be able to assist you in battle. Now, this will definitely add lots of gameplay variety to the game, and one might even spend hours creating lots of unique horses for special purposes .

 

I think having the drake mounts from the Mo'Creatures mod would be an interesting addition to the game. I remember it being a lot of fun having a group of friends flying, but unfortunately, the mod conflicted with a couple of ours and we couldn't keep it. It would be nice if vanilla Minecraft featured some flying mount, but that would probably unbalance the current combat system.

 

I don't really favor the idea of adding more creatures that could be mounted as there's already tons of mods for that, but having already existing Minecraft animals like spiders and wolves rideable would be neat.

 

this is just going a bit up there for me, honestly. It just taking away from the games ability to be realistic, its making it into a fantasy world now and no longer real life.

 

That would be awesome! a flying dragon or dinosaur is totally something I am willing to pay for in Minecraft.

 

I think vanilla Minecraft is great the way it is, and is maybe adding too much, even. The main foundational element of the game is one's ability to build whatever they like in it. I don't think that vanilla Minecraft should include that, since normally mods are more diverse and harder worked on. Mounts should be left for the modders to deal with, and not the developers.

 

I like the way that the current mounts are fairly limited. I don't really want a whole lot more. Are the pigs and horses enough for now?

 

Just give the pigs the ability to have wings and then you could have your flying mount. This is starting to sound like WoW talk with everyone talking about flying mounts.

 

You should maybe even be able to breed the Mounts, and breeding the animals with the best stats could result in something with even better stats. That's a pretty cool idea, and I'd really like being able to ride a turtle, keeping in mind how cute turtles are. The turtle could also get inside of it's shell when it's around hostile monsters, or if it gets hit.

 

I think that more mounts would be awesome! So far, you can ride a pig and horses, which is alright. I feel that adding more would add more variety to game, making it much more fun! If they do decide to add more mounts, maybe throwing in a few more mobs would make it even better!
