I see no issue with fighting guys wearing heavy armour, so long as that is the extent of their supperhuman ability, and so long as military-grade rounds will penetrate it. Although I'm generally not a fan of boss fights of any description, unless they follow the original Deus Ex model, where any type of playstyle can be used to defeat the boss, and you're not forced into open combat.

I would like more mutants, because that would bring more variety to the game, and at the same time have that mysterious parts. And Who says they have to live in the tunnels? Some stations might have been infested with some mutants that have not been seen before, due to shyness or something like that. Actually, just a hint to a diffrent mutant might just be enough, like in the first book, when Artiom is on the surface walking through a apartment building, and see's this slimy track into one of the appartments.
And in Metro 2034 they also had more diffrent kind of mutants that wasn't mentioned in the first book. I wont say more though, that will just spoil the book, hehe ^^

And I don't like the idea of fighting "super-humans" just because it's too much like other games. It wouldnt be as fun as meeting something you dont know what it is. :3

Lol did anyone say they have to live in the tunnels? I'd personally prefer they didn't, except in some of the metro stations which were poorly protected from the radiation, or have tracks which go overground, and so had a way for mutants to break in. The thing that I have trouble accepting is that there could be varieties of mutants living deeper than humans, as that tends to suggest that they were there before the radiation. Unless of course they're huddling around an underground reactor such as the Biomass; in which case that's fine, but they probably wouldn't be well adapted to live on the surface either.

Well there is a story in the book where the gates in St petersburg (I think) was there to stop some sort of monster who ate the workers who worked in the tunnel.

Yeah, they dug too deep and uncovered something. "You think they have those thick iron grills for nothing?" Quote from a guy in one of the stations (Market?)
