Might be a little hard to kill a raging mutant with a lighter but possible.

... Or he used an incendiary grenade! That's probably what it was now that I think of it.

More likely a molotov cocktail since we've seen them in the game trailer and they're easy to make, even in the Metro ^

The Bastard is technically a carbine!

Also what's with the ridiculously big, stupid trousers and boots those guys are wearing on page 2?

This, and the fact that there will be three universal slots after more or less the entire community agreed on two universal and one sidearm boggles me..

Actually, they're sensitive to light. You'll need a fully charged torch beam to burn away the armour plating (complete with awesome volumetric smoke), which they understandably dislike, so they'll try to scuttle away.

Burn them enough and they'll expose their soft underbelly, allowing you to finish them off with a few well placed rounds or move in with the knife and gut them.

    Both equally satisfying :)

^ That also pissed me off, although they said Ammo might not be as plentiful as you would want so they kind of won me over but I still think that shit's stupid.

Those massive trousers and boots make me think that they're trying to make it seem more "badass" and "cool" when really they're moving in the wrong direction with the game. The fact that everyones clothing suited the world in the previous game and made it fit in to the Metro universe made it believable and added to the realism and atmosphere of the game. Big baggy trousers and huge boots seem like it's steering more towards a FP Fancy Pants adventure: Shoot 'em up.

Ahh, a bit like Alan Wake and I loved how that worked.

Then how come it says they're sensitive to fire?

Not arguing just wondering :spy: It sounds awesome though!

Huw has reared his head! As always, thanks for the clarification :D

Will these new creatures be named soon? I remember seeing them in the first teaser, if I'm not mistaken.

Sounds VERY cool, but I'm still hoping for Flamethrowers though. Especially after seeing Red Heavies using them.

How is the automatic pistol, btw? Any good?

It had a tentative date for March anyway, so it's hardly delayed. Someone has their wires crossed, unless it's coming out in 2014!!!

You cannot say such things! D: It won't be cancelled, or I'll sit up for hours after hours and play Metro2033 over and over and eat tons of ice cream and I will never have faith in the world of gaming ever again T_T
