    Well, it looks like they definitely are making the levels that take place on the surface more open world.

    Last Light should be linear with some open world aspects. I would also love it if they made an open world game set in the Metro Universe though.

    I think it should much more open world LIKE S.T.A.L.K.E.R or fallout since at least to me it would make it a much better experience or more fun!

    It proberly has something to do with the engine and i mean what would you do?

    - surface= dead in seconds (gas masks arent infinite)
    - metro= its linear by its very nature
    - metro 2= uhh cough cough

    I really liked Metro 2033 because it was linear, since it made the story more better. But if they would make good open world, it might end up really awesome.

    i think a fallout stlye choice system would be good (imagine the moral aspects but for travel direction aswell kind of like new vegas and jagged alliance 2)
