There are a few Fallout games released before Fallout 3 but they are so incomparable in my book and are not worth looking into. When ever I get bored of Fallout 3 or New Vegas, I just go to nexusmods.com and download a few of the mods the have available.

That depends on what you like, if you are going for anything besides graphics, then Fallout 2 is MUCH superior to Fallout 3...

I agree, and don`t forget that Fallout 1, 2 and also the excellent Fallout: Tactics are all games released nearly 15 years ago. You cannot visually compare a game using a full 3D engine, with old isometric sprite based games.

I prefer the older isometric view than the newer stuff to be honest, things like Baldur's Gate, Fallout were perfect.
I sometimes get motion sickness when playing fast-paced first-person games so I can't play Fallout 3 and New Vegas for long spurts of time

The big ones are Vegas and 3, but the first two are really underrated in my opinion. Tactics was pretty hit or miss if people liked it or not.

The first two have been all but forgotten, sadly. New generation gamers are just too used to fancy graphics and cannot go back. And yeah, Tactics is more like a squad based tactical game similar to XCOM or Jagged Alliance.

yeah I know about fallout 1 and 2, they're in 2d graphics, and man i'd love for them to remake it for current generation consoles and PC, it would definitely be epic.
