Primary source of food

When there's no animals around, I just start breaking tall grass while I'm collecting wood and rack up some seeds. Then I'll go underground and make a 10x10 room for my farm, with a 2x2 infinite water source in the middle, providing water to 96 crops. When I find another type of crop I may use them, but I mostly stay with wheat.

 

Usually hunt a piggy or a cow!

 

A lot of people are saying bread because it's easy, but steak is a lot better overall.

 

My primary source of food are pork and bread. It's easy to make and also you can get these easily. And every time I spawned I tried to explore the area first before I build a house. When I'm exploring, I killed pigs or cows to eat while I find some place to build.

 

Bread and Porkchops. They're both the esieast to farm and they serve you well. I really like bread it's easy to grow and it's not much a pain in the butt to handle.

 

Bread is a great source of food, but I usually have an animal farm as well, so pork chops are great (woo bacon). I don't really bother with potatoes or carrots, I have a small farm (just 4 blocks) on the side of the river next to my house, and that has 2 of each in it. I'm sure they're great food, especially potatoes. In fact, on the server I used to play on before I got my own, I had 3 double chests full of baked potatoes. Never really bothered with carrots, though. I had some, but I didn't really do much with them.

 

I would kill as many cows as possible as steak is amazing for hunger also I utilize my wheat farm and make a lot of bread. If possible I also make some mushroom stew but sometimes it can be hard to find enough mushrooms. So I mainly stick to cows.
