Blood Dragon's actually a standalone game, in addition to obviously not being connected to the other versions of the game in terms of story or anything. So there's really not much stopping you, other than Uplay.

I have a song stuck in my head. I had heard it many times before, but it has never been so infused, like it is now, in my mind. It is the fault of a German-made, post apocalyptic movie called "Hell" (also by the name of "Apocalypse"). It has actually been almost a year since I watched the movie, but it was only recently when something triggered a thought of the movie, which I couldn't figure the name out at the time, and I became obsessed to find the title. Beside the point, there is a reoccurring song in the movie called 99 Red Balloons, or 99 Luftballons in German, and I thought it was the greatest thing when it came on during the movie.

Before the movie, I had only heard the English version of the song and had always thought it was an English song. In the movie, since it is German, it uses the original German-cut of the song; which I have grown to enjoy more than the English version. I can't remember the movie too well, but I do know it wasn't horrible and actually a good movie; although, I believe "The Book of Eli" was better. An interesting thing about the song, which I just found out about, is that the lyrics are about 99 balloons, which were released into the air, and are mistaken for UFOs (at least in the German version). That eventually leads to a 99-year-war and leaves everything in ruins. In the English version, it is understood that a nuclear war took place.

    The German version (my favorite):

Oh yes, I really like this song too. It reminds me of some other new wave stuff, though with a bit more pop in it.

If anyone haven't watched Blues Brothers... Go. Watch. It. Now. This movie is great. On a personal scale of how much I like it, definitely 10/10.
There's this scene where one of the guys go solo harmonica and my hairs literally just arose on my arms, I reeeeeally want to be able to do something close to this one day. So far, I've just barely recently managed to bend the tones. I think I'm gonna have to buy a new harmonica, the one I have is kinda worn.

@Bamul: Nice song. The beat sounds very familiar. Do they have an English version of their song? If yes, then that'll be the reason why it sound familiar to me.

I was very happy for a moment; then, I got angry. Mötley Crüe, one of my favorite bands (currently #1) was on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon -yes, I know, I have betrayed my loyalty to Jay Leno. Anyway, I was studying and listening to the television when I heard that Mötley Crüe was about to perform and grew ecstatic. Yes, at last, they performed, I got chills, and announced that they will end their music career, as Mötley Crüe, by finishing their tour here in the U.S.. It was a big surprise, especially since it appeared they would finish, according to their former concert schedule, at a venue in Japan. So, Mötley Crüe is coming back to the U.S. to finish their “final tour” –this is their final tour, as Mötley Crüe, after they all signed and agreed, on paper (with lawyers and all), never to perform under their group’s name.

I got online to check out the schedule and venues they would be performing at and saw none of them were close to where I live :(. That pissed me off. The closest U.S. location would be a 12-hour drive from where I live. I can cut 2/3 of the time by going into Mexico and going to a concert there (the city where it’s at is a 4 hour drive apparently). I never heard of that specific city, but I wouldn’t go to that specific area of Mexico for certain reasons. Anyway, another setback is that the concert tickets have sold out :(. This really pisses me off. I might not have any tattoos to show it off, or any of their shirts, but I can assure you: I’m Mötley Crüe’s biggest fan.

I hope that some miracle happens and the make a pit-stop at where I live and have a surprise concert or something. That’s the way AC/DC did it a few years ago. My city wasn’t on their roster on places to perform at, but they stop by anyway just because there were many people who were requesting them to come over. The tickets were sold out in two hours…..Why me?

Well, the song they performed on the Tonight Show was Girls Girls Girls:

Nope, I don't think there is an English version. And I'm sorry to hear that, it's the second time something like that happens to you. :(

Man, that song just sounds so familiar to me -at least the rhythm. There are also some parts during the vocals that sing/sound like a song that I've heard before...hmmm, well then; I guess it'll have to remain a mystery. And thanks for the sympathy.

It upsets me more when I realize that there will be people going to the concert(s), just because somebody invited them to go, even though they are not a fan of the group or style music.

AC/DC will, apparently, be performing at this year's Grammy Awards on Feb 8 (I guess that'll make it the 9th for Europe/Australia/Asia). This is quite strange because, ever since I was very young, I would ask, rhetorically, why a band like AC/DC (or any of the other from 70's and 80's) was never nominated or asked to perform at the Grammy Awards. For that reason, I never actually watched the Grammy Awards; but now, since AC/DC is said to perform (finally), this will be my first time actually watching the program.

Also, one of the two brothers that formed the group, Malcolm Young (the rythem guitarist), will not be performing because he is sick and suffers form dementia -this also includes his absence from ever performing with the band, again! During the show, at the Grammy's (and throughout the rest of the AC/DC career), Malcolm Young will be replace by his nephew, Stevie Young -who has played, in the band, before and plays with the same style as Malcolm. Another original band member, who will also be gone, is the drummer, Phil Rudd. The reason being: Phil Rudd was accused of hiring some hitmen to kill someone off. I don't know who it was, and I don't believe the accusation; but, the trial has been going on for quite some time now and it will interfere with him not being able to perform at the Grammy's -no worries, though. Phil Rudd will be replaced with a former drummer of the band, Chris Slade (who was the drummer that help record The Razor's Edge Album).

(this is with the original singer, Bon Scott, who died)

Here they are with the new singer, Brian Johnson, who joined in 1980).

I have to say that I've never played it, but since we're on the topic of old racing games - I do remember one I used to play as a kid and its soundtrack is really nostalgic for me.

I'm normally not into "just instrumental stuff," but, for some reason, I enjoyed the first and the second songs quite a bit.

And I couldn't think of anything to post for the music portion of the thread.

Yes! This is exactly the kind of retro, electronic, Eastern Bloc music that I love. I can see they are from Kiev, but when did they start? Also, do you know what animated film the video is from?
