The crunching sound of the lock being unlocked was followed by the doorhandle being pushed down and the door being pushed open. Seconds before that, I had catched Odessa's lighter and put fire on the fuse before tossing the lighter back at her. When there was as much as a narrow opening, I took the chance and threw the grenade. As the door opened more, I could see the grenade getting stuck on the chest of a man close to us. The face expression of the closest one who saw me first, was unexplainable. As I jumped out of the way, a few of them raised their weapons high above their heads to be able to shoot at us without hitting the heads of the other Satanists in their way. Several sprayings of bullets entered the armory, but I had jumped away in time. The grenade exploded on the man's chest, bringing down the half of the men that were closest to the door. The one in the front was actually blown inside the room, landing right infront of Dimitri.

As the door opened and Benjamin threw his grenade I was deafened by the explosion, but I ignored it and squeezed the trigger as quickly as I could, dropping good amounts of satanists. After emptying my mag, I saw a fuselit grenade landing right in front of me. I now had two choices: Jump on top of the grenade to save the others, or try and throw it back, risking to kill all of us. But then I remembered something I did a long time ago, before the bombings, in a physics class; you can shut out the oxygen and kill the flame by putting the fuse in your mouth. I decided to go for the last option. I only felt a short, burning sensation before I had extinguished the flame. Proud of my quick-wittedness, I threw the grenade back, hoepfully sowing confusion, before retreating to the crates with the others.

I rolled over where I was lying on the floor, unslinging my G36K. Darkbringer seemed to be eager and ready to take them all down as he sprayed a whole lot into the hallway. I was shocked when I could see a grenade landing in front of him, and I was very surprised that he actually picked it up and put the fuse in his mouth. I expected his head to blow into nothing but red rain, but the grenade never exploded, and yet he threw it back. That seemed to give him time to jump back behind the crates.

I ran over to them in a crouched position and lifted my HK, switching to fully automatic mode. Satanists peaked out from every possible room out there, aiming their guns at us. Fortunately, we managed to shoot them all before they even had touched their triggers with their fingers. Aiming through the scope that was built into the upper raised part of the rifle, I managed to fire bursts of three shots, taking down two of them.

When the door opened Ben threw the grenade he had in his hand right onto the chest of a thug. His face was unexplainable. The grenade let out a powerful pulse that blew the dust off everything in the room with a deafening bang. In an instant a man was blown right in front of me landing only a foot or two away from the barricade of crates. I lowered my head from the blast and opened fire along with darkbringer. After a few seconds he had to reload but the LMG I was firing kept going. We fired into the group until there was no one left standing. I let the trigger go. The barrel of the gun was left smoking and hissing with only a few bullets left in the belt.

*we had manged to shoot all the satanist down, and more important, it looked like we were still in one piece. It had been a hell of a battle, having to reload my AKS, which I was still using until I could try out the L85, a couple of times. after they were all dead only silence prevailed. I could feel the beginings of a smile forming on my lips, and slowly I peaked over the crates. only destruction surrounded us, cover in a sea of red. I quickly got up and got some more food, filters, meds and as much ammo as I could carry. following Dima's example I took a new armor plate putting it on top of the one I was already wearing. I would have time to sort myself out properly when this was all over. good thing my tactical vest was a size too big for me!*

'right, I think that's that, but I strongly suggest we get the hell out of this place before any more, is there are any left, come to see us' I said peeking out the door and looking both ways before going into the corridor.

*Jet came bounding towards me and jumped on my right shoulder, still tense, but with her fur now back to normal. she seemed unharmed and I softly stroke her head*

'I'll take point. finish taking whatever it is you want, let's blow this place up and get out ASAP. pick some supplies and weapons for Andrey as well. we got his revolver, but he'll probably need new gear' I said to Benji who was right behind me with a semi-concious Andrey. 'nice trick with the grenade by the way Dark, I really thought we were about to join the pack of nosies we slaughtered yesterday. I'll remeber it next time someone throws one of those at my feet' I said to him with a smile on my face.

*was it only yesterday when we had killed the pack of nosies on our way here? it seemed like eons ago, in another lifetime. as the guys finished stocking up, we started to move back towards the pentagram room. Benji behind me with Andrey, Anatoli watching our six, the rest of the guys in between, with Dark helping Dima along*

Having caused so much death I didn't know whether to be proud or sad. But as a soldier, I would always blame our motto: If it's hostile you kill it. And that's what we did. And we were obviously good at it. I put a fresh magazine in my REC7, but just I was about to pick up Dimimtri, I noticed he looked like he was feeling better. I decided to let him walk, saying: "It looks like you can walk, so I suggest you do so. We can't have you get used to be carried everywhere", the last part with a smile on my face.

The feeling of anger and frustration over Wolf's death was completely vanished and desinegrated. The silence was like a song of triumph after our massive slaughter. I did not know about the others, but I felt satisfied. I reloaded my HK with a full magazine before I opened my backpack, put it against the table and wiped a lot of food, ammunition, medkits, filters, throwing knives and other things that I did not see what was into my backpack with my right arm while holding it with my left arm. I slung the backpack back, lifted Andrey onto my shoulders again and nodded with a smile "Good to go". I was carrying a lot of weight, especially with all the Military grade bullets that we hade gotten from Boris when he died. But I was tall and strong in those days, so I managed.

Killing a man is never a proud moment for me, but if it's for the greater good it must be done. I left the crate I was behind as well as the LMG. It was much to big and cumbersome for metro travel. Instead I took my new rifle and did the same as Ben grabbing as much as I could in a few short seconds. "good to go?" Ben said. "I'm ready. I'll prep the explosives, it's the least I can do to repay these thugs for there generosity." I replied. Saying that I grabbed two armfuls of HE grenades and placed them in the center of the room putting a metro made pipe bomb in the middle. "this outta do it" I said aloud. "with any luck this'll bring down the earth over this hallway" I added.

*I looked back and saw all the guys ready, so I set off towards the pentagram room. we didn't enocunter any more hostiles on our way, what's more, a ghostly silence had descended acroos the station. nothing could be heard but our footsteps. when we reached the room we stopped. I left my gear on the floor, took out the explosives from my ruckpack and prep them to be remotely detonated*

'right, I sall be back in a second' saying this I left the room and went back to the armory.

*I had a last look around the place. pitty all this is gonna go to waste, but we cannot risk them coming back for it I thought before setting the explosives up. for good measure I took a RGD5 grenade, took the pin off and set it underneath a crate. I saw where Dima had set the other explosives to detonate and carefully unwinding the wire for the fuse I went back to the room where the guys were and told them to keep on going. I set the remote for five minutes and we finally left the station. we were about to enter the main tunnel when a deafening explosion shook us all, nearly sending us to the ground*

''I'll go back and check, I shall be back shortly' I said.

*I quickly retraced my steps to the pentagram room. I could hardly breathe with all the dust so I put my mask on, clearing the smoke and dust with my hand. I had a look at the corridor where the armory had been. now, only rubble from a collapsed ceilling and debris were visible. there was no way they could reuse the station. it was impossible to get to it. I made my way back to the group smiling, but before leaving I saw a bunch of papers in the corner and picked them up. it was a diagram and instructions for a drill, just as we had thought. I put it in my vest front pocket and went back, taking my mask off on the way*

'well, the ceiling's collapsed. there is no way they'll be able to go back there. I think we can safely say we won this one. oh, by the way, I found this in the pentagarm room' I said as I took the papers I'd found and pass them onto Dark. 'now, let's keep moving. any safe place cwe can go to rest and recuperate? and let's keep our eyes open, you never know what my lurk around the corner'

*switching my light on and with my AKS at the ready I jumped onto the tracks and got ready to move again*

As the adrenaline slowly left my body, I became more and more tired, and I did not want to travel far before laying down to rest. "We could always go back to the station we rested at before, perhape lay out an alarm system and get som sleep?" I said to the others. I had only been awake for four hours or so, but it had been both physically and mentally exhausting, and I had only slep for five hours.
Lol I'm really tired IRL right now, I think the bleeding effect is setting in :D

I know, I planted a second lot to be on the safe side. never mind, the more the merrier!

'well, if we all agree, the station we rested in last night it is. I can feel the adrenaline leaving my body and to be honest, I'm ready to collapse. and apart from that Jet is hungry, and I rather face a pack of nosies with only my knife than having to cope with a hungry Jet for any lenght of time!. it's not very far away, I say that if we march at a good pace we should be there in less than 15 minutes' I said as I started the walk back.

"I agree. We can almost certainly be sure that the station is safe, and it is closer than any other station. Would not want to run into any other enemies on our way for rest anyway, would we?" I agreed, and we started heading back towards the previous station. Everyone seemed tired, they seemed exhausted, they seemed adrenalineless. I, on the other hand, was still flooded with it. I was completely geared, my eyes wide open, carrying Andrey with ease. I realized what a monstrousity of a personality I must have had, being in joy of ending a massive ammount of human lives.

It did not take long before we arrived back at the station. Everything seemed quiet. I found all the empty cans and canteens from our previous camp, tied them to ropes and hung them up in the ceiling in the narrow hallway-entrances to the station, as well as a couple of rope-traps with grenades from the armory here and there before I Headed back to the camp, hoping someone had put up the fireplace by now.

*at last we reached the station. Benji set out a few traps and we lit the fire. I dropped my gear on the floor and dropped down exhausted. but fisrt things first, I got Jet's food out and put it in her bowl on the floor where she quickly finished it off. she had some milk and straight away went to sleep. a contented purr coming from her sleeping form. I got up again and went to the same little toilett I had encountered before and after atending to the call of nature I got changed into a clean pair of army pants and washed my face. feeling much better I returned to the group*

'To wolf, and to all those poor souls back there. and to us, the most disparate group of people I've ever met, whom I will think of from now on as my comrades in arms and friends' I said looking at Benji and raising a glass of brandy from a bottle I had in my ruckpack and that I hardly ever used.

'help yourselves to some brandy and smokes' I told the guys passing the bottle to Benji and rolling myself a cigarette.

*I got some food out and had a bite to eat. slowly I felt the tension creeping away. I changed the bandage on my left arm and took my cleaning kit out, having a proper look for the first time to my new L85*

'how's Andrey? and how you holding up Dima? Benji, is you arm better?' I took a puff of my cigarett and continued talking. 'well, considering what we just dealt with, I must say we have been damn lucky we got out alive' I said to the group in general.

The first thing I did when I arrived at the fireplace was to sit back down against the same wall as before. I took off my backpack, katanaholster, utility belt, heavy coat, even my boots and socks, and at last my grey camouflaged sweater. I was now only wearing my grey camouflaged pants and the old simple long-sleeved T-shirt which I folded the sleeves up to my elbows. As Odessa declared a toast for ourselves and Wolf, I stared into the fire for a while. When Odessa reached her bottle towards me, I brought out my old bottle of laphroaig and clinged it against hers. "Amen", I said shortly, yet the one word expressed a huge load of feelings overfor what Odessa had just said. I took a sip from the black liquid tasting of smoke, seaweed and strong liquorice.

I pulled my left sleeve all the way up and dried off the blood with a rag from amongst all the other things in my backpack before I Added some more from the artifact Odessa had handed me onto a fresh bandage. "It is now, thanks to your generosity", I answered with a smile as I slightly lifted the artifact into the air as a sign of referring to it before I put it back into my backpack and applied the bandage carefully onto my arm. I rolled the sleeve down to my elbow again before I stroke my fingers through my dreadlocks. My feet were finally freed from their claustrophobic lives inside of my boots. They were narrow, long and pale with long nails. The fire licked its way upwards, warming my feet. It was a pleasant feeling.

The station was a pleasant sight for my swollen eyes and came as a welcome relif. As the group got comfortable and relit our old fire I grabbed a large bowl from a dust filled room and filled it with drip water from the celling. When it was full I returned to the fire and plopped down beside the others. As I wiped all the blood and sweat from my face Odessa proposed a toast to our survival. "Amin" I mumbled. The cold wet cloth felt good on my tired face and soon it was more or less clean. Looking at my reflection threw a tiny piece of aluminum I noticed the cuts on my head and how deep they were. "anybody know how to stitch?" I said aloud.

What had happened next was a blur. As soon as we entered the armory, I helped myself to a nice new long coat hidden by the side, and a pair of working boots. I also took another pack of cigarettes, a second Stechkin (which to my sadness was not chrome-plated like my current one), and eight extra Stechkin magazines.

I lagged behind on most of the fire fight, taking cover near the boxes and taking atleast fourty shots, twelve of them kill shots, at some of our 'obstacles' with my two Stechkins, using them alternively. As soon as we had reached safety, the group had discussed on about returning to our previous station. One that I had gladly accepted.

As we returned, I set myself down, and poured myself another glass of my good ol' whiskey and drank it slowly. Savoring its taste, I remembered my kills and got my knife. Taking my two Stechkins, I then carved six notches on each of them.

I looked over at Andrey who was still unconcious. He could use some medical care, but I was not really experienced with medical treatment, and he would make it easily without some. I slowly and silently pulled the katana out of its holster to not startle anyone before I took out the rag and started cleaning the stained blood off the katana in my lap as I crossed my legs. "Does anyone happen to know how and why my revolver suddenly jammed back in the station?" I asked as I took it out and held it out for anyone to hopefully inspect it, and maybe even fix it. It was the only silenced weapon I was in possession of, so I could use it to be functional again. "I would have stitched both you and Andrey, but I am unfortunately not in capability to do such", I answered Dimitri.

After the katana was completely cleaned, I slowly holstered it and put it aside again before I started searching through my backpack for anything. Most of the cans contained beans, tomatoes and different soups and stews. My hand eventually grabbed something wrapped in paper, so I pulled it out. It was a bar with some faded text on its paper. I brought it closer to my eyes and read it out loud with some difficulty, slowly. "Ch- chocai, chocolate". I looked up at the group before I eagerly opened the paper to reveal the brown delicious content. I broke off a little bit of it before I handed the rest to Odessa and indicated for her to pass it around.

"I was aware of the Satanists' fight and struggle for weaponaries, but little did I know that they were in possession of this long lost brown gold", I said as I held the bite of chocolate up in front of me between my thumb and my index finger. I put it in my mouth and chewed it. It was old and dry, and most of its taste was gone. But that did not matter, because I could still feel the old taste of chocolate on my tongue. I must had been chewing the chocolate for a long while as I was dreaming myself away to the world of the sanctuary where we had our own plantation of everything and anything, including cocoa beans. We had even made our own chocolate. I snapped out of it, looking away from the fire. I shook my head, making the dreadlocks fly around my head.

"I do not believe that my mother will be angry at me for eating the dessert before dinner", I joked as I chuckled. I searched through the backpack and took out a cantine of water and a can of peaches. Cold canned food. It was certainly not as pleasant as a steak in a station or a warm stew or soup, but it did not require any cooking, just to pop off the top and eat. They were sweet and juicy, and filled one's stomach surprisingly much. I took out one by one, eating them all before licking my index finger and thumb after each new peach that entered my mouth. I swallowed half a canteen of water; I had not drank in several hours, and I was a person who needed a lot of water to concentrate. I was easilier dehydrated than most people, as if my body used water as fuel instead of blood.

Oh, by the way, 2000 bullets! :D

Congrats! Oh, pay attention, we've got some major leaks on my character's history in this post :3

After the group and I had settled, I began cleaning my Stechkin. It had only seen moderate use, but I always figured, better safe than sorry. After cleaning that as well as my AK-105, I put the two firearms in their respective wrappings and put them each in my backpack. I doubted they would see much use in the future.

I was sad to know so many innocents had died because of the Satanists. A decade ago, I was one of the lucky ones; I had escaped and lived my life to the fullest. But those slaves didn't even have a chance, and I pitied them. I could never tell my group about this past though. I hardly knew them, and it didn't matter any more. My mother, a slave, was dead, and my father, a Satanist, was killed by me a few years back. I still have nightmares of their cruel treatment, and the scars to boot.

I eventually settled into a comfortable position, told Benjamin to wake me up when necessary, and after eating a small snack, fell into a sweet, blissful, sleep.
