Roleplay Part 10

The silence beckons their curiosity. I will disappear now.

 

"Hey, can we move out now? This silence...is unnerving."

 

"I agree with Iakova, we need to get out of here before those mutants wise up." I stated while shaking my head to clear the last of the head ache I had."So Dr. Crazy, can we move out now?"

 

*we were all getting nervous and the constant threat of the mutties outside the airlock wasn't making things easy for anyone. I had no idea why we were still there and I approached Joe slowly*

'come on Joe, vision or not, we need to move, otherwise your precious weapons will certainly fall in the wrong handas'

 

"alright alright." I replied to odessa, opening the door. "ladies first!", this tunnel was the same as the other one, made out materials most of them must have never even SEEN....

"oh and by the way jack, when we get back, report to my office along with benjamin and Iakova as soon as possible"

 

"Yeah, yeah." I whispered at him while starting down the tunnel Keeping my weapon up and ready. The tunnel was made out off fairly new or rare and strong materials, either way, I tried not to concentrate to much on it while I stayed ready.

 

Once again guys sorry I've been very inactive around the forums this past while, been to busy with work and such. Can someone give me the lowest of low downs as to what were up to in the RP, thanks.

 

Pretty much everyone arrived at the airlock mentioned by TheStalker , picking up Prizrak and lorayne. Dolgov died.
Jack showed up at the last minute and has joined the group.
A ranger named Iakova has also joined up.
We are currently in Thestalkers underground tunnel.
I think that's it in a nutshell?

 

Something seemed strange suddenly. I was moving. Scanning. Rifle level and footsteps silent. I began to panic inside. What the hell am I doing? Where am I?

I continue to move in the fashion I had found myself while trying to piece together what was going on. It's not dark. This tunnel is, strangely built... Odessa's here. And so is Benji. Is this a dream? What was I doing before this? I... I can't remember.

No wait! I... I was on the surface! Finding, a part. One of many. With my group. There was a big mutant. And burning. An airlock. That's it...

There's no way I could have fallen asleep. Am I knocked out?... Am I dead.

"Yes... You are dead. Gena."

"Show yourself!"

"You know", I jump back as the voice speaks right into my ear. A man walking alongside me in the shadows. He does not flinch nor even glance at me. Where the fuck did everyone go! "Most people would jump at the chance to forget their past. But you. Ohhh, you, you, you Gena, run from it. Even kill it. Begging for the guilt, the torment and the blame to return. Why? I know why..."

"STOP! Show your face! Who are you!" I scream demandingly. He does not stop. I pause for a moment, then pull out my pistol and fire a shot just in front of his shadowed face. "I said stop and show yourself!". His foot stops mid air and it feels as though all of time itself stops with him. He turns towards me agonizingly slowly and begins to make his way out from the shadows. He speaks as he moves. "I'll tell you why. It's quite simple really. Your scared. Terrified. Terrified that one day you'll have to stand face to face with all the souls you've damned, all the men woman and children you ended for your own gain. You hide behind them, even in death you cower like a king within his castle of souls saying "Look! Look I'm suffering too! I'm really paying for my mistakes now! I live everyday with the guilt, no need to hurt me anymore!". It's pathetic. You know why you tell yourself you'll never die!? It's not because their souls won't let you, it's because your to much of a coward to truly face them. I've tried to save you're soul Gena! I really did. And what did you do?"

With tears in my eyes and a shaky hand on the trigger the man reaches the end of the shadow and bursts through with a rage like no other. I wished I'd never asked him to step out. that maybe if I let him keep walking he'd leave peacefully. But I didn't do that. I brought him out, and I've never regretted anything more.

It was Voskresshiy. Blood ran down his face and bullet holes oozed with rage. I nearly fell to the floor in weakness as my heart sank so unbelievably low.

"You killed it! You stabbed it! You shot it! Anything you could do to run from it! Back into your castle. Well run! RUN! Because I'm coming for you! I'M COMING FOR YOU GENA! YOU WILL ANSWER!"

He charges me, covering the distance in impossible time letting out a scream so terrifying it forces me to cry my own.

I pull the trigger as fast as I can!

And again...

And nothing happens... It's a dud round.

But he's gone. Voskresshiy, the darkness. And that god awful scream. Odessa's back! The group and Benji... Who's right in my pistols sights with a bullet hole in the wall inches from his face and a dud round kissing his nose.

I'm so fucked.

 

I run over and smash the idiot's face into the floor. "explain yourself now!" * turn to benji, making a face hinting at him to remain silent and let the act play through.

 

When Joe tackled him to the ground, the three lines of my Kobra sight were aimed directly at his head.

 

*finally we moved to another tunnel and started walking when there is a commotion and the sounds of gunfire right behind me. as I'm turning something hard hits me on my left shoulder and I fall to the ground with a thud. putting my right hand on the wound I realised I've just been shot*

'what the...' I mutter before loosing all notion of what's happening around me as all goes black and I loose conciousness, having more to do with hitting my head hard on the floor than with the bullet itself.

 

Once they run out of mutants to shoot, the older brothers return to fighting each other. I should have expected that. I will wait till they sort out their petty feud and move on, then get the jars...

...I see the one that opened fire first is flickering, not quite yellow or red - he is not mentally stable. Intrusion on my part could tip him far too easily into insanity. Let's see how his fellows deal with this, if they choose to do so before they venture beyond the range of my senses.

 

I noticed the more experienced woman had fallen to the ground, a bullet wound in her shoulder. I ran over to her quickly before kneeling beside her and giving a shout of."Medic!" I pulled out my first aid and set it down before opening it. I lifted her slightly and looked for an exit wound. Yes! there, good, wont have to pry the damn thing out with my knife. I took out a bottle of disinfectant and bandages before getting to work fixing the womans shoulder.

 

Taking my aim off him, and more interested in saving life then taking it, I quickly fumble through my vest and throw Jack a Combat Application Tournaquet.

 

I caught the Tourniquet just barely before going back to work, I cleaned the area around the wound before using the disinfectant on the wound itself, I lifted her slightly before doing the same on the exit wound. After making sure I cleaned the wound properly, I applied the Tourniquet.

 

"Move an inch and you'll get your head blasted." I hissed at Gena, holding my shotgun to his forehead. What the hell was Benjamin thinking when he brought this crazy guy on his team? This guy has "Liability" written all over him, and I'm waiting for an excuse to take him down before he shoots me or another one of our group.
