Roleplay Part 3

"And I want to keep it that way." I reply as I stand in the open, examining the newcomers... I mean, strangers, "No need in wasting our lives in a petty fight."

I sling my rifle and show them my hands and smile, "Apologies if I startled you. I had to know whether you were real or I was starting to hear things. Five weeks alone in a dead station's not good for your health."

I heard this unusual man and immideatly tool out my weapon aiming it at his head. "who are you. And wat the hell are u doing in this wreck? U imune to the smell or something?" i said cautiously. And continued moving through the carts without even turning back, "Freak" i said to myself.

 

I was second in the line, so I followed andrey's leed aiming my rifle in his direction from my hip. Andrey did have a good point though, what could someone be doing in a place like this?. We kept up our advance on the stranger, "move back!,we can talk once were out of this graveyard" I demanded.

 

A freak? Just what we needed. Only a psycho who would live in a place like this. I readied my rifle, in case he'd go berserker. But he excused for startling us, and seemed to have peaceful intentions. However, we this was no "meet 'n' greet", and to be honest, I already longed to get to Kuznetsky Most. My feet got heavier and heavier, until I was almost paralyzed. I saw shadows moving, coming towards me only to dissapear inches in front of me. To make things worse, sweat started dripping down over my eyes, blurring my vision further. Screams seemed to come from the pipes. It got louder and louder, and I got to my knees and put my hands to cover my ears. It did not help, it actually got worse. I thought I was going insane, and I yelled to drown the noise: "CAN YOU HEAR THE SCREAMS!?".

 

I ignore the first two and take two steps away from the screaming one, my rifle still slung. I didn't know what was happening, but if this was a mundane event to this group... I'd rather not provoke his squad. The last thing I need is everyone hunting me down in this cesspit. I'm pretty conflicted here. One's a screamer, obviously, the other an acid tongue baldy, and another his lackey. Which one to follow first. Hmm...

I turn to the second lad, the non-bald one... 'Hearty', and reply in my usual grin. "Mind your aim, lest you shoot yer foot in this sh*t pool. The fumes are horrible, true, and they'll do more than f*ck-up your aim. And the muck and decay will do more than infect that wound."

"Also, mind your friend. Everyone knows them nosies like eating the ones who scream like five dollar back alley b*tches first."

I keep walking backwards without missing a beat.

 

We entered the Metro tunnels once again, and i felt more comfortable there than in the station, at least here the tunnel will not stab me in the back and i felt on familiar ground, we are supposed to go some station i haven't been before and that it is dangerous, so i readied my rifle. The tunnel got darker and darker until its was pitch black, i switched to my NVG's to see where we are going, then i heard strange whispers i couldnt make sense of it it was too jumbeled up but i steeled myself, something wrong is happening here.
We got up to a train, the sideways where impossible to pass through since they where filled with rubble, the only way to get through is through the train but Andrey warned us that dead, decaying bodies horribly mutilated are there and suggested to turn off our NVG and flashlights but i didn't do it, no matter how the bodies look like i had to do a prayer for them, to rest easy now that their suffering has ended, proceding into the train i could see the corpses, they where half decayed and the stench was horrific, but i prayed for them in the strange language that i have known since i was born "Kasdanelavo bedrotovo, masivalos dachevo." it ment Rest in peace brothers and sisters, but then i heard someone talk, I did not expect someone to live, or at least take shelter in here, but i guess people would resort to anything to save their lives. The stranger approached our group and talked with our leader and Aaron but then suddenly Darkbringer collapsed on his kneese and covered his ears, he said "CAN YOU HEAR THE SCREAMS!" then i started to hear them as well, they where not as violent as Darkbringers's because i had experienced them countless times and i was used to them, i bend down to Darkbringer and yelled "IGNORE THE SCREAMS THEY WILL TAKE YOU" looking back at the group i yelled "WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE, THEY ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE" i poped a flare to see the ghosts of the dead, they surrounded the train but the exit was clear "GO!" i grabbed darkbringer and raced out of the train.

 

I was being dragged away by a giant creature, and had just made it to pick up my M92 when I realized it was Vlad. He seemed to be affected as well. He was yelling at the rest of the group, but I could not hear him over the screams. The screams were not usual. They were very high-pitched and almost non-human, and they made the blood in you veins freeze. When I closed my eyes I saw the dead, in their last seconds, screaming for help. The suffering... The pain. And nobody cared. They were left here to die, eaten by rats, mutants and worse. "Vlad, I have to stay. I can't leave them here." I said. "The suffering," I mumbled, as a headache set in.

 

Everyone around me was either screaming or yelling, I had no choice but to turn on my flash light. There were bodies everywhere and empty shadows surrounding the group, I saw vlad and darkbringer stumble past me. I didn't know what I was doing, I just ran behind vlad pushing him and darkbringer as fast as I could, anything to stop the screams.

 

Darkbringer panicked saying about needing to stay here because of their pain and suffering but all this was just to trap him here, the ghosts, he ones who touch will be stuck with them, i did not dare leave Darkbringer alone, i looked back at him and said "If you stay you will die, if you stay you will be stuck with them, if you stay you will be forgotten and all you did in your life will be lost!" i raced out of the train with i could hear scream of pain and suffering, i could hear a train attempting to break and i heard a crash sound, this is how these people died, i was being pushed from behind, must be the others but i managed to get out of there in time and took a safe distance away from the train.
Darkbringer looked deranged, he had seen something no one should, the dead in their last moments and knowing he couldn't of have done anything to help them, but this has already happened, this was part of the past, we must move on so that we will not be dragged down. The screams and the suffering stopped, the ghost can only roam the place of their death and we where far away from them, looking back at Darkbringer "These are no longer the people they used to be, all their are now is restless spirits in search for peace, they do not whant to harm us, not intentionaly, they just relive their past in search for answers, you cannot help them how ever much you try, let it go."

 

Vlad continued dragging me, as the headache got worse and worse. When we finally stopped, the headache instantly stopped as well, and I did not remember anything of the last two minutes. All I knew was, that Vlad had saved me. I looked at him, embarassed with myself. I quickly stood up and dusted myself off. I had to thank Vlad. "Thanks, man. You really saved my ass back there. I owe you one.". I saw Dima as well. What wouldn't the others think of me now? I thought. I just hoped they'd save their slag for later.

 

I felt tremendous relief exiting the train but the others were still struggling in the dark. I ran up to the door and shined my light on them to guide them, "come on!, move it!" i yelled.

 

I Heard this strange sound but did not pabic. Just slowly exited the wreck. Once darkbringer got out with vlads help i laughed silently. "u gotta relax man. Screaming wont do anything." i looked at pyotr. "ur not coming with us. We cant afford another man in this mission." and u tuened around. Turned my flashlight on and began to walk forward. Two miles were left to Lubyanka.

Ps. U can come with us. Im just trying to add a little interesting stuff into the roleplay. XD

 

Andrey seemed like nothing happened, i saw ghosts of the dead same as Darkbringer yet he does not care, he does not have any respect for the dead, he is just selfish and ignorant, if he continues to be like this, we will be at each others throat, i tried to make some sense into him "So you did not see them, the dead, their screams echoes around the Metro, their suffering is all but our own doing and still we fight against each other, pay some respect to the deceased , that's the least you can do." i turned back to Darkbringer he looked fine now, i gave him a friendly nod and now i was waiting for the others

 

I ignore the bald one continuing in getting off the train. "I care not about your 'mission'. I go where I want, where I'm needed."

I walked towards the one who was screaming and spoke to him calmly, "You saw those that were suffering? They died, not for nothing, but not something. You waste your life trying to ease the dead, then might as well join them. Listen to your friend, we don't live in this life to die. We live it to live."

The man seemed very wise, but stubborn. He spoke words of comfort the likes of which are only acquired after a lifetime of pain and discomfort. On the other hand andrey's first words to him where of disapproval and no respect what so ever. But never the less I had to follow his lead to finish the mission. I walked past pyotr, it was hard to see his face through all the scars. When our eyes locked I gave him a look of pitty "thanks, Pyotr". I walked up to darkbringer and helped Vladimir pick him up. "let's get out of here".

 

Andrey was described as 'cleanly' shaved head in his description, so I instinctively thought of him as bald. Oh and, I haven't introduced myself yet.

 

"You dont know anything about me! I have SEEN the dead countless of times. The shadows u claim to see is complete bull. Its nonsense. It just hallucinic gases messing with ur mind. If u want to stay and "comfort" the dead. Please be my guest. But im on a little mission right now. So if u wanna waste my time then go back to kitai gorod! Im moving on! And taking steven. If u want to come with me then u r welcome too. " i angrily stated. "and as of u old man(pyotr) stop wasting my time! Unless u have something to say i suggest u get outa here. " i looked at him for a minute with silence. "Stalker. . ."
