Hey guys, I figured this would be a good place to join in, seeing as it is an "uninhabited" station.

I awoke with a start. I heard... music? I told my dog, Laika, to stay, pulled my AK-105 out of my backpack, removed the wrapping, and inserted a magazine. Slowly moving towards the source of the music, I was able to peek around the corner and see a group of men, and another man playing a flute. They seemed relaxed, so I stowed my rifle and shouted "hey, you there! What the hell are you doing here?!".

I dried my clothes next to the fire and, without eating, went two archd away far from the others and lay down. The fire was further. But I didn't mind. I closed my eyes and heard someone say something. But then sleep took me over.

I could hear a stranger's voice from a corner. I allowed for anyone else to answer him as I kept playing and did not even turn my head to look at him. Perhaps he was a nazi? A bandit? A communist? From the looks of it, no. If he was either of it, he would have wanted us dead on the spot as we obviously were mercenaries. He would have started shooting before talking. That thought was what kept me playing and not roll over to pull out my rifle.

My deep thought was inturupted by a loud and demanding voice from the shadows. "What the hell are you doing here!?" he yelled. i did a quick look around from my lying position but found knowone. "Relax kid, this is a free station weve done nothing wrong." i blindly said aloud.

I walked towards the group and passed a man, sleeping near one of the archways. "This station has been uninhabited for two years now, I was just surprised to see some people around here". What are you doing here, though?

As expected, the stranger turned out to not be hostile. I kept on playing as I was a slight bit startled at how the station had been unhabited for two years. As the man asked what we were doing here, I glanced over at Andrey as if asking him if we really should let the man know about our mission, but I never let my lips off the flute as I kept playing.

I watched the boy and replied, "Travelling, and staying here for the night." I sat on the ground, by the others and watched the stranger carefully.

I looked at the stranger and said "thats right, were mapping out this whole tunnel...what are you doing here?".

I wondered if I should tell them the truth, but decided to tell them; I needed their trust. "I'm a stalker. I originally worked out of Polis. I'm just heading back from a small station located north of here, on personal business. People in Polis, and the Red Line will pay a lot of money for any maps you make. I'd love to help out"

"Well, take a seat," I said in a friendly voice while moving to the side as to make room for the stalker. It was actually a quite cosy feeling, sitting there, soaking wet from hours of walking through the swamp-like environments, hearing the flute play and looking into the fire. "A stalker, you say? You're the first live one I've seen for months." I said, trying to make him open up a bit, and preferably tell his story.

I shifted my gaze to the fire, and pondered their thoughts of me. Distrust? Suspicion? "You're going to want to look out for Satanists south of here, if that's where you're headed. I can usually sneak past, but this time I caught hell when a guard spotted me; they let me off because of some, err, 'goods' I gave them."

sorry for my absence guys. just got a cold and it's wiped me out the last few days

*without moving from my place and without stopping cleaning my guns I had a look at the stranger and his dog. I knew Jet was ok with dogs, and if she had sensed any danger, she would have let me know. She only opened her eyes and stared at them*

'hello stalker. got a name? I'm Odessa, and this is Jet, my cat. I can see you also have a companion. nice dog. hope it's ok with cats. mine is fine with anyone, human or animal, as long as they are friendly. if no-one disagrees, please sit down with us' I said to him, extending my hand in a peacefull handshake.

"The name is Anatoli, and the dog over there is Laika. Before the war she would have been called a German shepherd; I was given the puppy for some goods I procured for a breeder." I sat down, staring at the faces. They seemed wary, but accepting, and I relaxed myself. The man playing the flute had a relieving effect, as if he was taking away all of the stress from the world, the mutants, the extremist factions. I finally asked, "How long have you been resting here, and when do you plan on moving out?"

"not long, an hour or two. If all goes right we should move on early in the morning. I'm Dimity, but everyone calls me Dima". I extended my hand to him.

The dog, Laika, seemed to be disrupted and annoyed by the flute as it smelled after me tensively and walked back and forth in an unsecure way, looking at me with a curious but also worried expression. I decided to lower it from my lips. "Your companion does not seem to like my flute", I stated with a slight smile at the thought of it. "You are in search of these, are you not?" I asked as I rotated a shining military grade bullet between my index finger and my thumb between our faces as I thought of his talk about how Polis would pay a lot for maps of unexplored stations. "We are not attempting to avoid danger; we are oppositely seeking it. Which means that joining us, although safer, will still be guaranteed with danger. What you seek will be within our travelling-route, but the risk will still be at presence", I said mystically without mentioning the fact that we were following the Satanists to retrieve our captured friend. One could never be too careful; this man had not even yet earned our trust. For all we knew, he could leave us at night and warn the Satanists of our incoming.

I shook the hand of Dima, his grip was firm. "I'm armed, you're armed; I think we'll make it just okay" I said with a smile. I snapped at Laika to relax and motioned for the man to begin playing agin; "he gets nervous with newcomers," I explained. I began oiling and cleaning my Stechkin APS, it was dirty from recent use. I looked through my pack and realized I only had a clip and a half left of it's 9x18mm Makarov ammunition. I finally asked, "So, which direction are you headed?"

I woke up for a short while and notice the people sitting around the fire. Nobody was dead so we were all good. I closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep again. It was cold.

As I began playing my flute again, Andrey seemed to wake up, but he soon fell asleep again. Anatoli seemingly had good control of his companion.

I believed that we were supposed to discuss tomorrow's strategy, but Andrey seemed to have fallen asleep, so it would be quite pointless. I could feel my eyes slightly falling closed by themselves constantly as the tiredness fell upon me. I layed down along the wall with my head on my backpack and wrapped my body into my coat. It worked as a sleeping bag, but also as a matress, as it was very thick. It kept me warm despite how wet it was on the bottom after walking through the waist-deep water. I lied sideways and looked into the fire. I could sleep, but I still decided not to. Not yet.

Others were lying down, so I returned to my original encampment, picked up my other belongings, and returned to the group. After laying down, I asked, "so do any of you have family anywhere in the metro?"
