While Odessa talked to the young man, I took my time to look at him with a slight sceptical face expression. He seemed to be in anger and deep regret over his lost family and his lost home station. I believed he had buildt up this feeling for what seemed like a long time, as he seemed very determined that the Metro was not our friend. I could put myself in his position. After almost twenty years, I was still dwelling over the murder on Kimii and Sung, and I still needed someone to blame for it. That was why I was in on this mission in the first place. I saw how he was blaming everyone and the whole metro for what happened to his life, and that made me realize how I was doing the exact same thing. 'Glock' or any of his nazis could never have had anything to do with my friends' deaths. He was just a man who shared the same political violent view as the man who had slaughtered my one and only love that night twenty years ago.

After Odessa finished, I walked over to the youngster, looking down at him from my height. "I am a friend of the Metro, because I have this", I said as I patted the HK G36K on my backpack. "this", I said again as I tapped my head with my index finger thrice, obviously talking about my brain. "and this", I finished as I dug out a whole fist of military grade bullets from my belt pouch, cautiously grabbed the boy's hand, and placed them in his hand.

As I would do with every other person, I wanted to try to talk some sense into the boy, but after analysing his personality, I suspected that he would have answered negatively to my lecturing, and thereby start an unnecessary argumentation which we did not have time for. Therefor, I said no more.

Yes, he did. I thought it was quite appropriate since many people from the Eastern Bloc find that song nostalgic. :) I spent a bit of time on this last roleplay because I wanted to give Volk the sendoff he deserved and to get across the irony that, in the end, it was not animals who began feasting on his dying body, but a creature who used to be a member of the same species and perhaps in a way still was a man. I'm gong to start a new character and pop back in at some point. I'll try to make this one a bit different from Volk; probably a teenager, maybe even a girl. We could use more female characters in the roleplay.

EDIT: Looks like someone has beat me to it and there's a sixteen-year-old character here already. Though I bet this will make things more interesting. I'm gonna try to make my character a bit... strange. Definitely not very talkative at first - but we'll see how it turns out; I might change my mind. :)

Yeah, he truly deserved that. 'Tis a shame that he's dead now, though :p Benjamin really felt bonded to him, y'know.
But great to hear that you'll come in with a new character! :D

There were no words to responde to "Benji's" generousity. I drop the fistful of military grade rounds into a sack along my belt. Before I button the sack up, I withdraw a stack of folded paper.

"Tsvetnoy Bulvar?" I question myself outload.

I move over to a collaspable, rusty metal table against the wall. Upon dropping the piece of paper I motion Odessa and Benji to come join me. I unfold the piece of paper, revealing that it is a map of old Moscow. The map itself has the entire charted Metro system sketched on top, the Metro and surface overlaping. Little notes and comments appear next to certain stations. My fingers soar over the paper like demons on the surface. I plot two fingers down on a service room between Dmitrovskaya and Savelovskaya.

"We are here. If you want to go through the Metro tunnels we'll have to go through Savelovskaya and through Mendeleevskaya, where I need to go, and Novoslobodskaya, both of which are Hansa stations. Now if we're going to Tsvetnoy Bulvar, we better be prepared. The Hansa stations will be good places to gear up. Its rumored there are a bunch of Nazi's living it out there. I won't be suprised due to its proximity to Chekhovskaya. But knowing we're going there to hunt down a facist, we need to have an escape plan. If this vendetta goes south, running back down the tunnel to the Hansa stations won't help. They'd rather leave us out there to die than risk starting a war with the facists. Just some friendly advice." I say, my fingers trailing the map while I talk.

I sighed as the kid told me to relax, and then Benjamin, Odessa, and Dark started explaining the situation to him. "Great. Now, if he leaves the group before we get to Glock, he could tell them exactly where we are and our plans." I thought. It did not matter that he said he hated everything related to the Metro. I knew people would do things they would not normally if they were feeling desperate. And that was ignoring the fact that the Nazis did not exactly have a problem torturing prisoners, or hurting people you cared about, to get information out of you. I looked at the boy, Yuri, and shivered.
"We may want to think about this. I'm not opposed to bringing Fyodor and Yuri along. They're survivors. But, I warn you in advance, we will all feel terrible if something happens to them because we brought them along on our little hunting mission." I threw the words over my shoulder as I followed Odessa to the door, the FN FAL craddled in my arms and the gun bag and RPK over my shoulders. They had a soothing weight and balance to them, holding me down to Earth. To the metro.

I thought the same to begin with, but it's just something you have to get used to and adapt to. I've done that, and I think it works out just fine :)

*listening to Melnikov I knew he was right, to a certain degree. I had that feeling all the time I was travelling with someone, and would always have it, specially in relation to Olga. she might still be alive if I hadnt' let her join me in my hunting trips. perhaps we could still be together and in love, and I would have had someone to go home to. life was full of 'waht if' but I couldn't spend my life thinking about 'what if I had done this instead of that'. I would go mad*

'perhaps you are right Melnikov. however, we are all here of our free will, and no-one is responsible of another, except yourself. yes, we travell together, and, except you newcomers, we are all comrades in arms, and we might feel responsible for eachother, but we are not. the only one I am responsible for is Jet, and myself. I will not go around doing things that could put this group in mortal danger, as in being careless, but I will not hold myself responsible for anyone's life' I said without a hint of doubt in my voice.

I agree, this is the exact same way I felt when I returned to the forum and the RP. Furthermore, I think the majority of the group doesn't even post regularly enough (it is usually just about four people who post everyday). Kicking people out due to inactivity would be horrible so I don't think that's a good idea, but to be honest, all of the people who don't post are slowing everyone else down and making many situations in the RP very awkward. Besides, no one travels in such large groups - this has turned into a mini army.

Perhaps we could split the role-play into two different role-plays? One for those who occasionally post and the other for those who post everyday or at least every week. I think that would be best for everyone, since those who post regularly wouldn't have to worry about getting slowed down and those who post less often wouldn't have get confused and ask everyone to sum up what has been happening. :) Does anyone else agree? I honestly don't see any downsides to this - it seems to me like a pretty simple & easy solution and I'd be really surprised if no one has ever mentioned it before. :p

We are indeed becoming too many. The suggestion you have there, is just a nice way to kick out those who post too little. If we sorted them out and placed them in their own roleplay, it would die immediately, as we who post often are those who makes the not-so-often-posters keep posting now and then. Splitting the group into two roleplay-threads would require some organizing, and that would be difficult as the not-so-often-posters aren't even here to part-take in the organizing. I'll make some rules and post them in the thread where there already are some rules from before.

Well my character isn't even 'rolling' with the group now, but even without me in there it's still seems a little crowded. Perhaps a tunnel could collapse causing the group to be split up. I don't know.

Another way would be to have some more snouts/nazis/random enemy attack. Those who didn't post quickly enough could get separated from the group.
Or the 3(me, thestalker, i hate lurkers) of us who joined recently could bow out to reduce crowding.

You guys started of with 10 people. Dmitri, Zhenya, Pyortr, Volk, Odessa, Dark, Benji, Sergei, Grigori and Joe. Volk and Dmitri are dead, leaving 8. Pyortr is MIA, making 7 people in the tunnel before me and Yuri showed up. Right now in the tunnel there are 9 people; Zhenya, Odessa, Dark, Benji, Sergei, Grigori, Joe, Yuri, and Fyodor. You have less than you started with. I don't see why people are starting to complain about quantity.

Agreed. But I kind of see what people mean, though. It's getting a little unstable, but that's something we can manage to live with for the time being. A separation event is a good idea, which I might implement. Aaron's roleplay is very good, adding some extras to the story. That can only be a pluss for you, Aaron ;)

If anyone were in the danger-zone get separated from the group now, I say it must be Sergei, Joe, Zhenya and Wojcie. <-- Just a heads up.

I Hate Lurkers, but I'm returning with a new character to replace Volk soon and then there are also those who don't post often. And I think you missed out some people, like Wojcie? I'm not sure though, maybe something happened to him after Volk got separated and I just don't know about it.

I think Skaara is right about the organizing - I didn't think it through that well and it would indeed mean kicking out some of the people when they're not even here to decide. However, now that I think of it, is there really any other way to solve the problem? If they won't come back in a certain amount of time, then they wouldn't be able to keep up with the RP anyway. :(

Anyway, it won't bug me that much, it's just something that gets awkward over time, as people stop posting and don't inform others that they had to go (or just forget) and more people join. It shouldn't bother me too much once I join again. I think introducing a new rule for this would indeed be the best way - maybe something along the lines of: "join only if you know that you will be able to post at least once a week" or something like that. I don't know, just a suggestion. Yous can probably come up with something much better. ;)

Btw, I want to join with my new character soon, but I want to do it at an appropriate time. From the little bits and pieces I've read here from time to time, I get the impression that the group is heading towards a Nazi station - is that right? If so, are you guys going to shoot the whole place up (which I think would be a bit too suicidal), or plan to achieve whatever it is that you want to do there a bit more quietly? :p If the latter is the case, then could someone please tell me when you get to the Nazi station? I want to introduce my new character there. :)

Okey I guess I have to be more active. It's just a bit hard sometimes to be active enough with irl going on. And sometimes it feels like there is only 2 guys posting on and on and BAM suddenly 3 new pages without barely anyone else posting to keep it flowing. Not that it is bad that the Rp is flowing but it makes it harder for others to keep in on the dialog.
just my view. not meaning to be disrespectful.

Well then, lets get back to it.

I notice people preparing to leave. I fold and re-insert the map into my belt's sack where it joins Benjamin's generous gift. Removing the rifle from my back, Yuri hosted himself onto it. I scan my eyes over the rifle, checking for any damage it may have taken in during my introduction. With everything in line, I stuff the last scrumbs of bread into my mouth and join several others at the door. I glance over my shoulder to Benjamin and the others.

"You coming?" I ask, eyebrows raised.

Like i said, i apologize for being a bit inactive lately due to many things going on right now. I try to post as much as i can. And i mean this much people is livable with. But what i kinda meant is that we are kind of on a mission and some people try to start other quests while we are on this one. Which gets kind of confusing. Anyway.

I exited the room and felt a warm breeze of windy air blow on my face. To the left you could see about 25 meters ahead to where the tunnel was collapsed. To the right, however, the tunnel curved gently to the right. Hiding in the dark. I decided that no light was needed right now, and so i didnt take it out. I jumped straight onto the tracks and turned right. Got my G36 ready and called for the others.

"Cmon guys, its about 6 am right now. I think we should get moving."

I waited for the others and doing so i got a drink of water from my bag. I rolled up my sleeves right after taking off my jacket. And rubbed my right forearm and observed my native tatoos. Then i stretched and put my bag back on my back. I leant on the opposite wall and waited the remaining minute for the others to get ready and move out into the gently dark tunnel to the left of me.
