I doctored up my leg as best I could, and then dug my equipment out of its hole in the wall. As the group started moving down the hallway, I slung my bags over my shoulder and followed. Staying in the middle of the group, I took a moment to put my baseball cap on. My ankle was still burning as the group reached a set of rungs in the tunnel. I followed the big guy up, and threw the two bags against the wall. I positioned myself near the door, checking to make sure it was actually locked. Noticing Dark checking his ammo, I told him " I've got plenty of extra ammo if you need." Directing my next words to the woman, I asked "Do you have any more of those smokes?"

    Are we leaving pyortr behind?

I jumped down from the sewer into what seemed to be a medium mechanical room. It was dark, but you could see some light in the door that exited into a corridor, and then into the tunnel. I readied my rifle. and double checked it just in case.

You'd have to. I'm a bit late due to RL issues.

We don't know In-Characterly that Pyotr is still alive, so we've continued on our way, yeah. Also, right before we emerged onto the surface and met your character, Ultim, we met a group of ranger-friends of Darkbringer, and they handed us a gift: A huge man with some bigass gun to follow us on the mission. He's Darkbringer's second character, who has been with us all the way, actually. I think Darkbringer just has forgotten to roleplay as him. I've completely forgotten about him myself to be honest :p

Oh, and Odessa... I lost track of where we've gone. Where did we emerge onto the surface? Where did we go down, and where are we now?

Yah, I can keep character and my knowledge separate, I was just wondering if we should stall some more so dahksinol could get his RL stuff fixed up. But, it would make it interesting for him to have to find us, so its fine with me.

Also, I've read the past posts from where you guys were in (not sure on russian name) the last station before coming up to the surface. The "big guy" that I followed up the ladder was dark's big tank friend.

    That's correct :)

I began to feel uneasy. Sitting there, in that little room, in desperate conditions, and no one in the world knew about our being. It felt strange, it almost felt awful. I felt like I needed to go somewhere and do something important. I was almost starting to get a little stressed and tensed. Knowing this, I pulled the backpack and leaned it against my thigh. I opened it and began searching through the rubble with my hand. I moved my hand past the spiked gas mask, my other gasmask, filters, food cans, water cans and so on until I reached the bottom where I moved my hand around and searched.

I felt the little plastic bag touching my hand, and so I pulled it out. It was a bag that I had not pulled out in a few years, and therefor, it was lying at the bottom of my backpack. The bag contained an incense-pack that I had carefully held dear for twenty years, since the day I left the Sanctuary in Japan. This was not a good moment to dwell over the past, and thereby, certainly not a good moment to light the incense from the Sanctuary. I wanted to save those for the right moments. But as already said, I was beginning to feel stressed, uneasy and tense. The incense should help.

I opened the little bag and took out the little holder and a stick. I put the bottom of the stick into the holder, then held it against the fire to light the tip of it before I placed it on the ground. I cautiously put out the fire on the tip of the incense enough for it to not burn, but the little glow was still there, causing the smoke to slowly ascend towards the roof. The scent hadn't spread out in the room yet, so I leaned forwards and smelled the smoke before I leaned back. It made me think of the monks back in the Sanctuary.
It reminded me of Tomoko, my teacher. He was more than that. He was my friend, almost like a father to me. He was the one who had taken most care of me in the Sanctuary. He would be very old by now, but concidering the healthyness in the Sanctuary, I still believed him to still be alive, as several of the monks in the Sanctuary had reached above 100 years. I hoped he was alright. I hoped he did not know about the missery in Russia. I hoped he would die with peace.

we've come to the surface just before Dostoyevskaya, going back down just a bit north-west of Mar'yna Roscha. the original plan was to go down at Mar'yna Roscha itself and take the conecting service tunnel to Savelovskaya itself, but due to mutties, we've gone down another route, into a sewer conecting to the service tunnel going towards Dimitrovskaya, an abandoned station, just before Savelovskaya, an inhabited station.

*I sat down with my back to the wall and took out my coffee flask, pouring a good amount into my cup. I had a sip and closed my eyes for a second. silently I passed a smoke to Grigory and took care of Jet, who was by now sitting next to me, resting her head on my leg. I checked my weapons and ammo and I was glad I've decided to lugg the extra ammo from the satanist's raid with me. now my supplies were a bit depleted, but still enough not to be overtly concerned about it, although some extra ammo would be good*

'guys, I was thinking, perhaps we should pool our supplies, and divide them between ourselves? god knows we have more fights ahead of us, and perhaps we should make camp here for a bit, get our bearings and strengnth back, and if any of the other guys are still alive, they might be able to find us.....' I said loking at our reduced group with a hint of hope in my voice.

*I wandered for a moment were Pyotr might be, and if he was still alive*

Grigori had offered to hand me some ammo, and he had earned my respect by getting that duffel bag, so I was just about to give him a nod when Odessa suggested to pool our supplies. I looked at my magazines for a few seconds, think about if I was willing to let go of them, but after looking around at the others, I put all my mags on the ground in front of me. Wojcie opened his backpack and, rather carelessly, threw 4 hand grenades and a C4 charge on the ground. He then backed away to his leaning position against the wall.

*I took out the rest of my ammo and put it on the floor. 450 rounds of 5.45 for my old AK and my IL85, about 300 rounds buckshot for my Spas, and about another 300 for both my Makarov and my Sig, plus a few inciendiary granades and 5 frag granades. a lot of weight to carry around, but I was used to it. while waiting for the guys I started to clean my weapons methodically*

I was suprised when Odessa emptied a whole pile of ammunition on the ground. It was quite impressive compared to the five 5.56X45mm caliber magazines I threw on the ground. Thirty bullets in each, which meant 150 bullets. I kept the tranquilizer and its syringes in my belt, for myself. Then I suddenly remembered having Boris' old revolver and a puch on my belt with ammunition for it. I dug out the bullets and put them in the heap as well, counting each bullet. 36 revolver bullets.

This is how they play Poker in the Metro

"Mind if I ask what you all were doing on the surface, comrades?" I was fine with pooling resources for better survival, but I had only met them a few hours before and didn't know why they were walking around with so much heavy weaponry.

As I asked, I unzipped the duffel bag and dumped its contents onto the pile. There was an AK 103 with a grip, two AK 47s, and a HK 91 with a mounted scope; a Colt Python, and 2 Makarov pistols on top. As for ammo, there was 3 full drums for the machine gun, 9 empty banana magazines (AK 30 rounders), 4 empty 20 round magazines for the HK, 5 speed loaders, and 7 pistol magazines. There was enough boxes of ammo to fill all of the magazines, and around 450 rounds of 5.45mm, 120 rounds of 7.62mm, 36 rounds of 357, and 120 rounds of 9mm extra. The light from the fire gleamed off the shells of the two fragmentation grenades and the road flare that came out as well.

I picked up the RPK with a removable tripod and began to go over it, making sure it was still functional.

My eyes felt like they were about to explode of widening when he emptied a duffel bag full of weapons and ammunition. At first, I felt slightly eager, but then I realized how big the pile was. How the flames made them shine like a trophy. All this war, all this killing, all this pain and misery. If we could destroy all of these weapons, it would mean salvation for man, but also death.

With a gloomy voice, still looking at the fire, I answered Melkov. "The explosion on the surface a few minutes ago.... It was because of some Nazis. There is a Nazi member, an officer if you like, named Glock who wants Odessa's head after some unfinished business. As the true members of this group that we are, we defended Odessa when Glock sent some men to assassinate her. At first, it did not seem like a big deal. But this 'Glock' seems to know where everyone is at any time, and he has kept sending Nazis on Nazis after us. After what we did to the first Nazis who tried to assassinate Odessa during our presence.

We cannot let this happen much longer. There is only one way to stop Glock, and that is to find him and kill him. The Northern part of the Hansa ring between Prospekt Mira, which is where we travelled from, and Novoslobodskaya, is closed. We have taken a way around via the surface, to get to Tsvetnoi Bulvar, where he is rumored to be stationed. Recent rumor, though, says that he has moved from Tsvetnoi Bulvar to the South-Eastern part of the Nazis' home station, named Tverskaya, which is positioned just south of Tsvetnoi Bulvar. We are travelling to Tsvetnoi to find Glock. If he is not there, we will most likely travel further on to Tverskaya", I said before I took a little moment to breathe.

"If we were to go to Tverskaya via the metro, we would have to first fight our way through Chekhovskaya. By the time we would make it to Tverskaya, we would have the population of Pushkinskaya after us, and we would be trapped in the middle of a firefight with Nazis on both sides. That would be close to impossible. It would be a death-trap. That is why we will go via the surface. I have heard strange rumors about some unusual mutant there. Some says it's one, some says it's several of it. Some say it's the mutant of a ranger, other say it's a mutant-ghost. Either way, it is just rumors. Rumors spread fast in the metro. That is probably why Glock moved from Tsvetnoi to Tverskaya; He had heard of our journey to get him, and decided to move to a safer location. That is, if he did so in the first place. We cannot know for sure until we get to Tsvetnoi", I finished. I had not talked this much in a long while.

I did not ask for Odessa's permission to let Melkov know about our plan. He was definitely not a Nazi from what I could tell. And if he was, we would simply... end him. I did not expect that he would join our suicidal journey of revenge.

My deep sleep is interupted as the waitress places a plate full of pork and eggs on my table. "damn im tired" i thought. I had managed to catch only six hours of sleep these passed four days thanks to my constant need to move from station to station. "why the hell are they still chasing me? my target wasnt even that much of an important man" i pondered. ignoring the thought I began to eat my food thinking id be safe here for the night. once again, i was wrong.

As I ate the last few fork fulls of eggs my plate suddenly rocketed towards my face with a shattering impact. the next thing i knew i was face first on the ground with a knee on my back. Womans screams could be heard not to far away but were stopped as a man yelled out "Station guard! everybody move back". huh, I should have guest. Two hours in this station and i was already under arrest. A bag was placed over my head and i was hauled away and plopped on a wooden chair. The bag was removed and I found myself centered in a rather nice room full of banners and documents. looking around I saw that the room was empty say for the man sitting behind an oak desk. he looked threw a few folders as I sat, unable to find any words to say in such a situation. he rose his head and said "Welcome Gena, how was diner?"

"was fine till my blood got all over it" I replied. He gave back no expression and paused for a moment, then continued "Im going to say this plain and simple Gena. We need your help".

My brow raised as i almost laughed. "The mighty Reich needs MY help!. Are you serious or just fu+king with me?"

Once again his face gave no expression before he continued again "Yes, I too was astonished when my superiors requested your aid. but id rather not go into those details. rather ill get to the point so we dont waste anymore time. You have been brought here to complete ONE mission. upon completing it you will be released from our clutches and given a clean record. which we all know you need. were running out of paper".

"And if i refuse? then what? youll kill me? go ahead it'd mean nothing to me"

At last his face changed into something other than a unflinching stare. Now it turned into a slight smile as he leaned over his desk "No, we wont kill you. We'll kill Alisa and her daughter and make you watch as they suffer"

My eyes widened in disbelief. how could they have possibly found them. I had put as much distance between me and them yet somehow they had been found. "If you lay a single finger on them I swear to god, I will find you and crush your skull to a bloody pulp!"

"Please Gena, theres no need to get angry. as long as you do what we say no harm will befall them. all you have to do first is sleep. weve rented a room for you down the platform and a hot shower. you'll be informed of your duties in the morning"

And with that he signaled for me to leave with his hand. I was so stunned and in disbelief that i didnt even say anything more. I simple got up and left for this room apparently rented for me. "oh and Gena remember, any attepmts to escape will not only cause your death but theirs as well. Sweet dreams" he added as i left the room "Im so screwed"

I know it! You're plan- ... Wait. I know your plan, Aaron, but I'm not gonna be so mean to reveal it to everyone :p Well, I think that I know it ;)
Oh, by the way, there's a very small detail in your awesome roleplay that I just have to mention. You write "Threw" when you mean to write "Through".
"Threw" is a present tense of "To Throw an object". "Through" is like "He threw the ball through the window". I'm not criticizing. I just needed to say it, because I have noticed it since the first day you joined the roleplay :p Other than that, I have to brag about your roleplay, Aaron. It's really something special. I think that your roleplaying is a little unique; it stands out from the standard roleplay that we are doing. It's very good :)

    Im a little scared.:)
"Well, that certainly is a coincidence." I thought to myself as the man with dreadlocks outlined their plans. I unscrewed the barrel from the machine gun and began cleaning it as he finished up, scratching away the buildup of dust, grime, and neglect that it had collected while waiting for a new owner in that gun cage. Fate has a sense of humor.

I thought back to my time on the Red Line. It had been...8 years, probably, since I had set foot inside a Red station. Their laws, their ideology, their modus operandi had simply begun to rub me the wrong way after awhile, and I had left before things had gotten worse. But my sister...Lara. She had not left. She had been in love, at the age of 17, with one of the guards in our station. I didn't blame her, and still don't. Life is too short to not enjoy it.

But she was gone from there now. I had run into Pavel, the guard, 2 weeks ago, and he told me that Lara had disappeared during a Nazi attack on the station and hadn't been seen in weeks. He didn't seem very hopeful that she was alive, and had refused to go with me when I asked if he would help me to get her back. But I knew she was alive. "I would have felt something if...she died." I mumbled to myself after dreadlocks had finished talking.

Drawing myself out of my reverie, I replied "Well then, it seems we have a common destination in mind. I don't know anything about your man Glock, but I believe the Reds have the right philosophy. Only good Nazi is a dead one." I put the barrel back on the RPK and switched over to cleaning my FN FAL. It had been 8 years. Lara was 25 now. Would I even recognize her? "You could use another man with a gun, comrades. Mind if I come along?"

"You can't keep doing this to yourself Gena. Just stay here, please!"

"You think I like this path? This...twisted and mangled road I walk. It wasn't my choice, and there are no exits or turns for me to take. I'm stuck walking this road till it ends"

"But it never ends Gena! All you have to do is stop Gena! Just stop."

    "hey! Wake up"
Startled by the load voice I nearly fall out of bed as I get to an upright position. I look to the flap of the tent to see a guard standing there. "get your crap and come outside" he ordered before closing the flap. Damn, I'd forgotten about my new predicament and all that rides on it. I wondered how I had been able to sleep in sight of such mind shaking news but I guess it was just the severe sleep deprivation. Getting up I grabbed what little gear I had and left the tent.

Upon doing so he guard who had woke me arose from a small stool feet away and approached me. He carefully handed me a cup of tea and said "It's real tea, so don't waste it. Compliments of the Reich". Sure enough it was the real deal and damn did it taste good. "What's with the spoils?" I questioned him. "That's only the tip of the iceberg to come" he replied. "...What the hells an iceberg?..." He sighed at the question then motioned for me to follow him. We wove though the crowded station dodging running children and broken beggars until a guarded steel door came into sight. "I can lead you no further, this room is restricted to even us guards. I don't know what they want with you but it must be important for you to see these walls. Good luck and enjoy the tea"

The door shut behind me as I was escorted to a large room by two armed men. It seemed to be the station's equipment cache. "Take what you like. Guns, ammo, cloths and other shit. But make it quick" the guards said before closing the door. "this must be some serious shit they want done" I thought. Browsing the ales I grabbed all the gear I needed, got suited up and left the room. One of the guards pointed to the end of the hall "There's a man inside waiting for you, he'll tell you what to do". And with those final words the two guards left in the other direction. Wasting no time I made my way down the hall getting used to the weight of my new gear as I waked. I opened the door.

"ah, please... have a seat Gena"
