I took another drink of the coffee, draining the cup as Benjamin replied. I eyed the pitcher of coffee, decided against another cup, and set cup my back down on the table. Looking around the car we were in, I sighed and nodded slowly. "Suppose you're right, Benjamin. We can't exactly get out of this thing " I waved a hand, indicating the plush car around us "without attracting attention. And Dmitri, its nice to be around the Rangers, but their prescence is not exactly going to stop some drunk looking for a few thousand MGRs. Not to mention a Nazi hired gun." I sighed and rubbed away some of the sleep from my eyes.

"I'm not meaning to bring up the doom and gloom element here so shortly after our success in D6. But, this is something that we are going to have to deal with going forward. Like Gena said, it may have been a good act on our parts, but "its going to come back to haunt us"."

guys, we got two days to wander around Polis. Odessa will be bussy for at least a day, and will meet you at the caff

'I promise you Gena, just stay safe my friend' I said looking at Gena with a hint of sadness.

*I knew he was right, and I hated loosing another friend, but there was nothing I could do, but pray to whoever was left up there to be merciful to Gena*

'I know what you mean guys. I'm not expecting a 'parade' or anything similar. as soon as we get off I will have to go for debrief, like all of you guys, although mine and Gena's will be much longer. again, I do apologise for how all this turned up. those of you who want to still have a chance to go, just say so to the debriefing officer, and they will let you go, no questions asked. as for those of you who want to stay, we have accomodation in the eastern part of the station, close to the living quarters. if you do choose to stay, then I suggest we meet in two days time in a caff named 'the lone ranger' for lunch, by the market in the west side' and as I was saying so the train pulled into Polis.

*thankfully, no parades or anything else was waiting for us when we got to Polis. after Steve's son got out first, I got up and got my gear, but just as I was about to do so I went to Benji and Gena and gave them a hug, and a formal military salute. I got off the train, looked at the guys getting off for a second and then followed the officer in charge of my debriefing, with the case still cuffed to my wrist and Jet at her place on my neck*

the polis station, i have heard many thing about the station, from the fact that is the most safest station in all metro free from red and nazis scum to it's nice place to stay , all is because it's people that still respect to knowledge. this is post-apocalyptic, a real one.. people struggle to survive, and the human history is entered a new dark age. i still remember from that's day when earth still green and habitable, where many cheerful face still exist. children from my neighbour were playing around while their parent are making a barbeque, that smell and taste.., it was a beutiful memory, not like today when " every man for himself"..
i catched off the conversation between two man. they talked about a group of ranger that aboard in this train , they are come from a place called D6, a military bunker that stored many weapon and bullet, many legends tell that something is worse is living in here, but none are them seems true. ugh... that smell of the cloth become more stinky than before but what will i do then?, the last time i was taking a bath is 20 year ago, so i guess i was rotten as well.
i looked at the window, it appear this train is reaching it's destination: the Polis

just only one(lazy) question:pop2:, it's the end ? so i must be very late then :eek:hwell:

I highly doubt that this is the end of the roleplay. More so, the start of a new mission in the roleplay ;)

As we arrived at Polis, no parade or anything was awaiting us except from some serious looking men in uniforms. Dimitri asked if he was allowed to leave. "Like Odessa said, the caffeteria named 'The Lone Ranger' in about two days time. You are dismissed", I said to him kindly and nodded once. Odessa made her farewells with us before being close to dragged away by an officer. "Good luck", I said to her just before she got out of hearing's range. "That goes for you as well", I said to Gena as I got up from my seat and entered Polis and its bright lights.

I turned back to the rest of the group. "About two days time, The Lone Ranger. Be there, or lose the chance", i said to them all before I nodded once and followed a station guardian to a room further away. The government of Polis treated me respectively, and although being tired and itchy to get out of my filthy clothes soaked in ash and smoke, I gladly answered all their questions and told them all they needed to know. I refrained from mentioning the deaths of our friends. Then, as simply as I had entered the room, I left the room.

My dream was longer than normal. It involved a second train - a luxurious one, just like those before the war. There were even drinks and food! So many new textures, smells, sounds and tastes to experience. It was amazing; this train was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life. A reminder to show me what I missed by being born after the Great War, but also a spoil for someone who hasn't done anything to earn it. Then again, I didn't do anything to deserve it, yet I too suffer for the sins of my elders - the people who ruined the world up above before I came into existence.

I didn't want this dream to end. I didn't want to go back to the cold darkness of the metro tunnels. If my imagination was capable of all this without ever seeing it before, then I wanted to sleep forever. When I woke up on that same train, I realized that this was not a dream after all. Maybe I was just very sleepy when we switched trains and fell asleep soon after. I did not get a chance to marvel at and enjoy the goodness of this train much longer, as we had gotten to Polis.

Blinding light. That light at the end of the tunnel - the one that everyone talks about. Was I dead? Things were happening so fast in my life lately that I was losing track of everything. Was I shot at D6? Is this heaven? I shivered and came back to the real world. No, this was all too real. Another amazing image to feast my gaze on. This was the legendary Polis, waiting right before me. Before I could say or do anything, we were already getting off the train.

As we stepped off the heavenly carriage and walked a few steps forward, we were met by men in uniform... something wasn't right. The members of the group were being carefully taken away by the guards one by one. I sneaked off in fear and disorientation of my surroundings. What was happening? Soon after wondering off without being noticed, I got lost in the crowd. It took me a few minutes to find my way out of the sea of unknown faces and get my bearings.

Finally, I recognized one of the stalkers from afar. One of the group's leaders - it was the one with the dreadlocks. "Benjamin, wait!" I called out to him. He didn't hear me through through the loud hum of the station's inhabitants. I ran to him and tapped him on the shoulder. It was about time I told one of the stalkers why I stayed with them for so long. "I need your help. My father... I'm looking for my father..." before continuing, I realized that I shouldn't be saying this in public, "can we find somewhere to talk without all this noise?"

It took longer than I expected for the man to come searching for me. Already had I poured half of the bourbon down my throat before he stepped into the bar. He was quick to sit down next to me. I point the barrel of the revolver towards him, still unaware if I can trust him or not. His voice breaks a small awkward silence that had formed between us.

"Look, I already know your friends are going to Prospekt Mira, you might as well follow me there." he said.

Prospekt Mira? No, that can't be right. I put the glass back down on the table and look to the stranger, confused.

"What are you talking about? They shouldn't be headed to Prospekt Mira, they should be on their way to Pol--."

This is all I had let out before I realized what has happened. My teeth dig into my bottom lip.

    "Clever." I scoff. "Very clever."

It had been a while since someone had outsmarted me. I lean back in the chair and nod my head a few times, accepting the situation at hand. As I see it, I have two opinions. I could pump this man's abdomen full of lead and strut out of this bar like it never happened. Or I could ask him to accompany me to Polis. It'd be easier to kill him, but father always said it is best to know when you've met your match. I wouldn't put it past this guy to have a piece under the table as well. Besides, being this close to fascist stations, I could use the extra security. With that note, I place the revolver on the table and reach for the glass to finish what is left of the bourbon. The liquor is smooth going down, but a fire soon spawns in the back of my throat. I swallow a few times and tweak my head to the side in an effort to shake off the burn. I stuff the revolver into the front of my pants and glance to the digital watch latched onto my wrist. After a few short moments I look back to the stranger.

"You ever been to the city of lights?" I ask. "I've got a dinner date that I'd rather not miss. If you want to tag along, be on platform J within the next half hour. I'll be there shorty."

Almost on cue, I stand up and stroll back out into the stuffed atmosphere of Mendeleevskaya. Before heading to find Yuri, I go back to the garage and gather my gear. I remove the makeshift scope from the Mosin-Nagant and attach the proper one. I cover the bike back up and leave the garage, it will be safe in Mendeleevskaya, the guards will make sure of that. I push myself through the sea of people, making my way into the market section. It does not take long to reach Yanina's stand. I grin at her when I see her and she grins back. I am extremely grateful for what she has done for me. Looking after Yuri is difficult. He is a stubborn boy, but that is because most of the time he is right and he knows it. It is a trait we both share, as did our father. I must have thanked Yanina at least five separate times. Even going so far as planting a kiss on her cheek before going to wake Yuri. When I found him, he was sitting up right in a cot and rubbing his eyes. It did not take him long to recognize me. I have never been hugged harder in my life. With Yuri on my back, I leave the stand, thanking Yanina again, and begin to make my way to platform J. I wonder if the stranger will be there.

The lights of Polis began to shine through the carriages windows and the train began to slow as it approached the famous 'city'. Some of jumped off the second we entered the station while most of us waited for the train to come to a full stop.

One by one we filed out of the luxurious carriage and onto the platform to be greeted by Polis officials and officers who escorted them to a secluded room. Odessa however was taken to a separate room for a special debrief. Beji could be heard shouting a farewell to her before he turned to me and did the same. I said nothing in return, giving back only a somber face.

Reluctantly I stood up and left the train only to be immediately met by a soldier a Polis police official and a Soviet ambassador. Knowing far well that there was no way out of this I made the whole thing easier on all of us, giving no fus or hastle to the men.
The soldier relieved me all of my weapons while the Soviet ambassador explained my charges. "Colonel Genadi Mistovanka, you are suspected of performing and/or aiding in a treasonous act against the Soviet Union and are hereby being placed under arrest until a trial by your superiors is conducted".

I simply nod and turn around placing my hands behind my back. The Polis police officer places me in hand cuffs and I am whisked away into a guarded room where I am placed on a chair beside two others. "You'll be held here until the next train heading for communist ground departs". The officer says before closing and locking the door behind him. I look to my right where the two other men are sitting. One is in military gear similar to me while the third sports a soft leather jacket and jeans.

"Got you too,eh?" one says to me. I sigh as I ready myself for the long wait...

Sorry, I mixed up between Steve and Dimitri. I edited it now though ;)

Walking through the crowd, I felt disoriented. All the noises, all the voices, all the smells, all the lights, all the life. I was unused to this after being in the dark lone silent tunnels. Suddenly, someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around quickly, only to find that there were nobody in particular who looked at me and seemed to have been tapping my shoulder. For a couple of seconds, I was even more confused, but I did in the lower vision of my eyes notice a smaller person, a girl to be exact. When I looked down, I could see that it was Polina. "I need your help. My father... I'm looking for my father... Can we find somewhere to talk without all this noise?", she asked.

I looked up from her, at all the people, with a lowered head, and nodded once. "I can provide a suitable location", I answered her before I took off my dirty glove, grabbed her hand carefully and lead her through the people. After sneaking our way through the masses like two snakes, the ammount of people lowered as we arrived at some market booths. "All in its time, though, Polina", I told her as we stopped. There were only a couple of people here and there. "Since you will cleanse your skin and that beautiful hair of yours with the most purifying source on earth, water, you will also be i need of some new clothing", I told her as I dug into my belt pouch. I took out some cartridges and handed them to her. "Do not use too long. I will be waiting here meanwhile", I said as I placed the cartridges in her hands and sat down in some chair.

As the train began to pull into Polis another large smile began to spread it's way across my face. "Home, Sweet Home." I told myself. I now realised that my family did not of my endeavour and that I had only joined a caravan. I walked outside to the "blinding" lights of Polis. After living for so many years in Polis I had become use to the light but now I noticed how bright it can be for an outsider. I lifted my hand up to cover my eyes from the lights but they quickly adjusted.

My Father and Mother stood there looking at the arrivals and then saw me and quickly ran over to me. They gave me a huge hug but then let go and gave me a stern look. "Why didn't you tell us about this." My mother said pointing at the group. "Things sort of went awry on the Caravan. We were caught in the middle of a cross fire between Nazis and Reds. Then I met this misfit group and it turns out they needed a few spaces to be filled. Well it turns out they were heading to Metro 2, most importantly D6, to kill a Nazi." I told my parents. "D6! What were you thinking? Haven't you heard the stories about it?" My Mother screamed. "I'm sorry Mum and Dad but this is something I want to do." I told them as I walked off. "Go get him." My Mother yelled at my Father. "Honey I've got a Council Meeting right now I'll go talk to him later." My Father said.

I now walked over to Benjiman and sat down next to him.

((Is it a good time to drop in?))

Sitting down by the side of the station's terminal, I watched as a group of hard-looking warriors dropped off the train. I saw one, dreadlocked, and tall. Massive, imposing. He had an aura about him, that told me he was of great up-bringing. Those were good words to describe him. Another, a woman. Staunch, aged, and wise-looking, She carried a certain grace and power in her stride. She had a certain mystique to her. Like she was from a land unknown to us, or atleast, to me. There were others, many of which were also of notice, but I needn't nit pick them. One of them however was arrested... Well, that was unexpected. The rest, they scattered. They were all weary, tired, and hardened by the Metro. Just the people that would need my expertise.

((Most of you are doing your own thing, but I guess I might as well post before hand.))

i walked off the train, and as i walk around greeted by one of the guard, " hello pal, sorry for my
interference, but you should come to the lobby, there is a meeting there. you should check on that." " ..and before you go, after the meeting, come meet me at the office there is a prisoner that had to be interrogated"

i walk to the station gate, and i surprised by the flash of light which were very shiny to me at that moment. the station itself is very large, it have many line of rail and had that appear like the home of the resident. i asked a merchant where is the lobby and he give me the answer. a group of children are playing around while guard are just patrolling. i smile, i feel humanity is not death yet.
the meet is just short, the commanding officer just explain about the security in station. i talk to guard that asked me before, " tell me, who is the prisoner and what is the case?, " all that you know this guy is military custody of the Reds, the most armed station as today so we can't take any risk from it. just doing that order, no more. i'll meet you in the front office ." the guard answered and slightly walking "okay then, спасибо" i replied.

I called out to to Benjamin and the others " Wait there is somebody you need to meet"
I thought about telling them the story now but it would be no use .
" First of all a friend of mine lives here. Second after odessa and the others return let us meet at that persons house for me to explain you my story."
