People do realize that quotations are meant for character dialogue only, right?

And Stalker, I find it very hypocrirical that you would point that out, considering page 15.

 

Maybe we should add a new rule to the roleplay: write in a comprehensible way. I bet that would mobilize the ones who can't be bothered to write properly to... well, write properly.

I was glad that Benjamin decided to find a proper place to talk straight away, but surprised when we stopped at some market booths where he gave me some bullets to buy new clothes. "Thanks, but I don't want to waste your bullets on this. These clothes will be fine for now." I answered politely and reluctantly, as the things on offer looked tempting. There were many more pre-war objects here. I heard stories of what Polis looks like, but not once did I think of the glorious objects one could find at its marketplace.

It took me a good few seconds to pull my gaze away from the stalls and back to Benjamin. Yes... more important things were at stake here. I shouldn't have gotten distracted. I was about to mention my father again, but then my mind began to think about other matters. I was in Polis. Me, of all people - this random teenager - managed to get to Polis. How lucky was I? But no, I couldn't let myself be...

"Do they have... shampoo here?" I had always wondered what it felt like. Out there, in the common man's metro, most people washed their hair using only water. I had always heard of the supposedly magical properties from my mother and her friends years ago back when I was just a little girl, but I had never experienced it. And there I was getting distracted again. There were teapots here, plates of many different types, various books, plenty of vinyl records...

I felt like a tribesman, stepping into the modern city of twenty years ago. There were so many new things to see here. To imagine that only a few decades ago, people took all of this wonderful stuff for granted.

 

To be honest, your writing ins't always bad - it's usually mixed. Sometimes you don't use commas at all, sometimes you forget about capital letters, but most of the time your stuff is easy to read. Though, funnily enough, you seem to make some of your worst mistakes in the roleplaying threads.

The key is proof-reading: always read the things you type before you post them. I'm sure that most of those here who post poorly written comments probably just don't proof-read.

Once you get into the habit of proof-reading, you could start using more varied punctuation (but not overuse), to give your text a more natural flow. Anyway, thestalker you really shouldn't be that worried about how you write; you're certainly improving, and you've improved a lot since you joined. Steve, you're the worst offender.

 

You've improved a lot, TheStalker. As for Steve, though... Sorry, but it seems like you're not even trying..

From what I could tell, the matter she wanted to speak about seemed rather important. She seemed not to care for clothes at the moment, although she seemed almost dreaming when she asked me if they have shampoo in Polis. "Not only do they have shampoo, but warm water", I told her. We will have to not enjoy the moment for too long, though, or it will cost me too much despite my large ammount of bullets. Regarding that, thank you for your concerns of my currency", I said to her before I lead her to the cleaning room where I had taken a shower and washed my clothes the last time I was in Polis. That was the only reason I knew my way there.

Again, the same old woman greeted me when we arrived, and she did remember me this time. "Oh, you again, welcome welcome!", she said to me with soul in her voice, really making me actually feel welcome. (Sorry, I'm tired at the moment, so my sentences might be a little strange here and there with awful mixtures of words). I took a hold of her hand and placed an exact ammount of bullets in her hands. "Two booths, fifteen minutes each. And two laundries followed by two driers", I told her in a begging tone and a discreet smile on my face. She nodded as if she was my mother as she smiled and accepted the bullets. "Get in booths, throw out clothes. They will be ready for you and dry when you are finished", she said.

I patted Polina on the shoulder once. "You must have me excused for my rudeness. We will talk about your concerns, but first I will need to be clean, and so do you", I told her before I stepped into my own booth. I first took off my heavy long dark brown coat, followed by my black worn out military leather boots and my grey camouflaged uniform, and lay the clothes carefully outside the booth before I turned on the warm water. The warmth surrounding my body was the most pleasing and rare moment I experienced in the Metro.

 

Well, Benjamin already left a long while before you had the chance to talk to him, really. Let's just roleplay that Joe said it to Benjamin, then Benjamin nodded and left, so he heard it at least. Whattayasay?

 

Fun fact, you phone would not autocorrect a word that is spelled correctly. It would not change a word into gibberish. It is programmed not to.

Fun fact: sometimes phones do... especially when you're bilingual and have to switch between two languages when typing.

Still, that's just another reason why typing on here using your phone is a bad idea, so please try to refrain from posting unless you are at your laptop or any other computer with a proper keyboard, Thestalker.

 

i got cleaning up all of my body with warm water, and relaxing for just a few time. it's a rare thing a station had a public bathroom, especially if the water were warm. i remind of my family, are they still alive now? i tried to find it, what happened to my family and my past when i close to the answer, i feel my head is heavy and something was ringing in my ears, some kind of traumatic syndrom. but i will not give up whatever how bad is it. i shall find d'em alive or not...

i got myself in the office, " where is he ?" i asked the guard, " just wait, we had to receive direct order from captain" said the guard.
