"So, tell me, Polina.. Do you really enjoy the taste of this liquor?", I asked. I found it strange that a child like her would like wine. Before she was able to answer me, I suddenly noticed Dimitri sneaking stealthily up behind her. He was very close by now, and I had not detected him earlier. How had he snuck up on us so silently? I was really surprised at his impressing skills within stealth. So far, they seemed to absolutely be comparable with mine. "Little too young to drink, kid", he said when he eventually was right behind her.

"Are you really having nothing better to do than stalking us, Dimitri?", I asked him jokingly with a smile before I skipped to the side on the bench and motioned for him to have a seat beside me. To my surprise, there was conviniently already placed a small tower of plastic cups on the table behind the candle that made the gloomy lighting. I grabbed another cup and handed it over to him. I grabbed the bottle and poured some wine for him while I asked "So, have you ever been to Polis before? How do you like it?". If this man was going to join our caravan later on, I would need to know a little more about him and get known with him.

 

dimtri was a street rat in polis steve only brought him there and gave him a place to sleep nothing more its were he gets his skills at sneaking sometimes you had to hide from the guards you know

Steve, remember to write in red when you're not typing something for the RP. Also, speech marks are used only for dialogue. Also, guys (this applies to everyone who has been doing this), please don't write in Russian. It seems really stupid to me. Our characters are mostly Russian, the RP is set in Russia and this is Metro 2033. When we write this in English, it's like all of our characters are actually speaking Russian. If you write in Russian, then what is that supposed to mean in the RP? It's pointless and unnecessary, unless you want to restart the whole RP in Russian. My Russian isn't anywhere near good enough for that and most members of the role-play don't know any Russian at all. I would appreciate it if this was added to the rules of the RP.

Btw, Skaara and Steve, Polina isn't really a child. She's 16 - that's late teen years and considered adult in some countries. I'm pretty sure most of yous have tasted wine at 16 or earlier, even if you didn't like it. Polina may seem a bit childish because she's quite shy and quiet, but she's not a child. Her behaviour might change a bit now that she has nothing to live for. Anyway, sorry about not posting during the last two days. My PC is broken so I'm gonna have to use other computers to post here as often as I can.

I was surprised to see the other stalker appear out of nowhere. A conversation was about to start, but I did not wish to be a part of it. I was still recovering from the news and had only just stopped crying. Wiping the tears from my face, I stood up and said: "Excuse me". Then I got up to walk over to the handrail, leaned over it and looked at the view below. Polis was a much busier station than anything else I'd ever seen before. The little market I was watching was crowded with people of all ages and merchants offering great wonders. It's a shame my excitement over this amazing place was ruined so quickly by the sad news of my father's death.

What was I going to do next? I played no part in the heroics performed at D6, I was no ranger and had no proper combat training. I shot my Walther before, but I'd only wounded a Neo-Nazi once during an escape from one of the stations. I never aimed to kill... but now I will. I wanted the Nazis to suffer for all they've done to me, to my father and how it was their actions all along that eventually led to Volk's death. This was probably how he felt after his parents and sister got killed at our home station. Revenge, revenge and revenge. Nothing more, nothing less. It seemed to me that the Nazis had created another monster, but this time it was me. And one day, like my father before me, I would swoop down upon those sons of bitches and slaughter them. I wanted them to suffer with me.

Vengeful emotions were taking control over me. I shook my head. This wasn't like me. What was I thinking? But how else was I supposed to act? This world has only shown me misery, death and suffering... ENOUGH! I had to stop thinking about it, otherwise my head would have exploded from the strange mixture of pain, sorrow, rage and confusion I felt at that moment in time. I had to figure out what I was going to do next. No grand scheme for killing Nazis... at least not right now. There were more immediate matters at hand.

I couldn't stay at Polis, as I hadn't done anything to earn it. And even if could, it would feel wrong to live here in peace after everything that my family has suffered... everything that I have suffered at the hands of the Fourth Reich. Perhaps I should just kill myself? There was nothing left for me in this sick world. As soon as I was born, I was separated from my father. The world at least gave me the false hope of someday meeting him again. Now... there was nothing.

NO! Get a hold of yourself! - I thought at the time, and that thought had saved me. I needed to give my life a new purpose. Something that would take my mind off of the depression that comes after hearing news of your own father's death. There was nothing else left to do other than to stick with the stalkers.

 

I used Russian in my last post to add or imply it's,.... Importance? Or perhaps just to add a little touch of "spicvera dry now and then, personally I don't find it as "pointless" as you may, however if it bugs you I'll stop doing it in my posts.

 

Np, you can carry on if it isn't added to the rules of the RP but you already know what I think of it. Anyway, it's not just you - your post merely reminded me of it. Btw, did you just kill off your character in your last post?

*a knock on my door woke me up early the next morning. I was comfortable and did not want to get up, but the knocking became louder and more persistent. reluctantly I got dress and went to the door. when I opened it a guard was there. he didn't say a word, just gave me a piece of paper with our symbol in it. I knew who it had come from and nodded to the guard*

'let them through and send them to 'The Lone Ranger', I shall be there within the hour' the guard nodded and left back to where he came from.

*quickly I fixed some breakfast for Jet and myself, got showered and dresses, and fixing Sig to my waist I headed out to the meeting point, taking the box with me, Jet following me close behind. I went through the market stalls and suddenly I saw something that attracted my attention, an old Kindjal on the wall of one of the stalls. the price was high, but I bought it anyway. It was in quite good shape, and after a visit to the smithy it would be even better. at last I made it to the caff. I was on my own there, but I was hoping the guys would turn up, and so I settled in one of the booths, large enough to accomodate us all, and prepared myself for a long wait while sipping some coffe and having a smoke*

 

Sure, the caff is good - but we should probably wait for the others to see what they think. Hope everything goes well with the biopsy, Odessa.

 

Lets not do the caff now - Benjamin, Polina, Anton, Joe, steve are all still in Day 1 in Polis.

I used Russia sort of for the same reason as aaron. Using Russian means: If the english we're typing is Russian in-game, then typing in Russian is using english or another language in-game; idk.

Good point - I completely forgot about that. Anyway, I'm still not keen on using Russian in the RP because it's pointless and unnecessary in my eyes. But I guess unless Skaara adds it to the rules of the RP, everyone can keep using it since it's not against the rules atm.

 

I'm sorry that you feel that way, Bamul, but I think it's good actually; it reminds us (at least me) of how we are actually talking in Russian, and it does make the written words a bit more valuable, like Aaron said. When Gena died, I think it really added to the drama when Aaron wrote Gena's last words in Russian, just like you did with Volk, Bamul -This is just what I think, although I can surely see what you mean and why you don't like it. I find it slightly annoying that I don't understand the few words that are written in Russian, but a quick swoop over to google translate fixes that

Also, we arrived at Polis at the evening in Day1, and Odessa said to meet in about two days' time. That means that the whole Day2 has to pass until the morning in Day3, that's when we're supposed to meet at the bar.

"Excuse me", Polina said as she stood up and walked over to another place where she looked out at the view of Polis. It was obvious that she needed some time for herself. "Located in the Rangers as an eighteen year old, you say? That is very young for a ranger. How old are you now?", I asked Dimitri.

 

A good twenty minutes later the guard came back, his face bright red when we locked eyes. He slowly walked up and waved us through, mentioning the 'Lone Ranger'. Confused sighs and gaps poured from the lips of the security guards. They lowered the weapons, giving each other dazed looks. I scoffed and walked towards the gate, bumping shoulders with the officer who had laughed in my face. He would probably be scrubbing toilets for a weak for his actions. When Nikolai entered the gate, I stopped and faced the guards behind us, giving them a short wave and a 'fuck you' grin before proceeding into Polis.

"Well, Nikolai, I hate to do this but we need to part ways for a bit, I've got personal business I need to attend to. You should head over to the Lone Ranger. The group should be waiting for me, you can't miss that group of misfits. Send them my regards for my absence. I'll be there shortly." I explain with a nod.

And with that note, I disappear into the sea of people.

"So he really did lead me here," I thought as Fyodor dissappeared into the sea of people. The guard tried to avoid eye contact, and I didn't want to make him look like an ass, so I just moved past him without saying a word. I glanced at the small shops, yet nothing caught my interest. My AS Val, a gas mask and a pair of NVG and I'm all set.
The Lone Ranger was a slightly more atmospheric bar, where they had tried to give it a "ranger outpost" look. There would be shell cases on the walls, a few helmets and even a dysfunctional RPG was among the ornaments. I saw who I believed to be the Odessa that Fyodor had a note from, sipping coffee and having a smoke. After fumbling a little with the packet, I found a joint and sat down in her booth. I placed it in the corner of my mouth and asked her: "Do you have some fire?" as you would usually do. No fancy presentation or anything. Besides, I didn't even know for certain if it was her.

 

Well, that was completely different. I was quoting a Russian song and I did it using transliterated Russian so everyone else would know how to read it. If I did it in English, then it would mean nothing because the song has no version in English. I have no problem with understanding Russian since I can read Cyrillic and once I do that, many words are almost identically pronounced and mean the same as in Polish. My main point was that using it here doesn't make sense to me and is confusing due to inconsistency with us writing in English the rest of the time. Anyway, I stand by my point - but if the majority wants to keep using Russian, then we shouldn't add it to the rules. What does everyone else think? So far we have me and Odessa against, whilst Skaara and aaron are for?

 

I don't recall Odessa being against it, though I do recall UltimLux being for it.

 

"It does not answer", I answered Dimitri. "I was just simply stating how impressive your youth is compared to your living", I stated.
I kept thinking about the officer. I was wondering wether they were having him captured or not. I hoped that they did.
"So how do you prefer wine?", I asked Dimitri.

Steve, I suggest you attempt to write more properly. You don't use the "" signs around your whole text, but only around what your character says. Let me make an example:
