    For sure :)

    People... Everywhere...
I never enjoyed being in a crowd. The only reasons I ever found myself in a crowd was to pass through or to buy something. I never found myself standing around in the middle of a sea of people and talk, do business or even just wait. When finding myself in social situations, I disliked the connection between many minds at once. Four was enough, perhaps five in some rare occasions. That was one of the reasons I never looked at myself as a good leader, nor did I ever like to be a leader. The only reason I took command now and then was because I felt that I needed to contribute with my suggestions and my ideas, and sometimes get things going smoother and faster.

The connection of a few minds, though; the ability to share ones wisdom of words, knowing that everyone you were talking to actually understood you and interpreted your words correctly... that was something I did enjoy. In fact, I often found myself showing off my social intelligence and my tend of using long and meaningful words.

Anyway, I should not use all the space that I am writing to talk about myself rather than to continue the story I am telling. I was waking through the station, passing person by person who all looked up at me as if I was a fearsome giant. I was wearing my dark brown cargo-pants with my leg-platings in metal and my black T-shirt which was a little small. One of my dreadlocks was tied around all the rest of the dreadlocks, holding them firmly so they stayed on my back. Then there was the large brown faded leather-backpack on my back with the large HKG36 hanging on the side and the katana in its sling under the backpack.

I was now closing in on the bar where I and Polina had agreed to meet, and I was soon walking up the stairs to the bar. I was hoping she would be there, or we would have to leave without her soon, because we could not wait for her too long.

    GODDAMNIT, GUYS.
    Nah, just kidding :p
But seriously, I know you're in Poland and had your house flooded and are having exams and too busy sleeping with your girlfriends (wat), but we really need to get this going soon, everyone who's not at the Lone Ranger. I'd be there a long time ago, but I'm waiting for Polina to show up. Joe and Anton should really be at the bar as well. As for the rest, hurry up! :p

This really makes me think that maybe we should make a blue and a green thread for frequent and infrequent roleplayers respectively.

The reason we don't have that is because every roleplay will always have some time where someone can't post that much and it'll hold the rest back. Someone are more frequently away than others are, that's true, but even the ones who almost never are gone can suddenly now or then be gone for two weeks. (That would be an example of me). With all that, I don't think that a blue and a green thread would be any essentially beneficial..

Sorry normally post daily but as y'all know my house got flooded.
Anton said he had his own place. "that's good Anton" I replied. "meet me at this bar" I prioritized after pointing at the map. Anton then left and I drifted into a deep sleep.

Well my character is right were i want him to be (somewhat stalking the group, or at least Odessa). I'm in Polis ATM, resting up and preparing to follow the group until they're away from the safety of Polis.

I suspect Boris13's character is in a similar situation, eyeing the group from afar. So basically me and Boris are both in position and waiting.

I got up bright and early in the morning feeling refreshed and ready for anything. I began to make my way to the bar that Joe pointed to. "Was he pointing to the Lone Ranger?" I whispered to myself. I bumped into a man making me and him fall over on the floor. "Sorry." I told him. Entering the Lone Ranger I sat down opposite Dimitry and Odessa. "Hello." I whispered to them.

The meeting with Councilman Oberin lasted for a few hours, after which Vika and I parted ways for awhile. I borrowed the key from her and went back to the compound, since I did not have a lot of money to be spending or any other major business to take care of. To pass the time, I went into the second door on the right, which turned out to be a machine shop.

"Well, I do have some extra dirty rounds." I thought, and set about turning some of the rifle rounds from full metal jackets into hollow points. They wouldn't penetrate armor, but with the tunnel trash and other unarmored targets they would tear gaping wounds. Hopefully. They might just explode in the gun if I screwed them up, but I had made the conversion enough times before that I was confident I could get it right. Hopefully.

Vika got back late, and we ate dinner, talking about the new rumors of a purge in the upper echelons of the Red Line, before going to sleep in much the same manner as the day before. Waking up on my third day in Polis, I was a little melancholy. In all likelyhood, we would be leaving the city today, and it had taken me several years to get back to this seat of civilization the last time. Who knew how long it would be to return this time around, if any of us did at all?

As I packed my duffel bag in the dinning room, Vika handed me a tape recorder and a plastic bag of tapes. Raising my eyebrow quizzically at her, she replied "You're going to meet your group this morning, yes? Record it, and stash the tape in the third stall of the public restrooms the right of the cafe. I would like to know the plan, just in case." I eyed the rest of the tapes and she huffed "Well, I have never been good at goodbyes, Melkov. So, you just record on those when you get a chance, and leave them with the Mark over them, and I won't have to say goodbye, really. We'll be in contact."

I gave her a hug and promised that I would. Her mood seemed to have improved exponentially since I had told her about Lara, and I really hoped as I walked to Nikolai's Armory that she would keep it out of mind. It was not something that I was readily going to forget. Reaching the store, I walked in and was greeted by Nikolai, who went into the back and returned with my pistol, new armor, and a set of tan and black kneepads. I slipped the weapon back into its shoulder holster, and strapped on the kneepads, before taking the profered armor.

It was black, with rifle plates sewn into the back and across the upper chest, and additional neck and shoulder guards poking out. Flipping it over, I saw that "Security" was spraypainted in a strip on the back. "I've heard that it gives people pause to see that. And even if it doesn't, they might try to read it, which works about the same." Nikolai announced from behind the counter. "Thanks. Looks like good work." I replied, shaking his hand and slipping it on over my head. Though it certainly added significant weight to what I was carrying, it fit like a glove over my jacket and gave me some level of reassurance.

I put the load bearing vest on top, adjusting the straps until everything fit comfortably, and then slung the duffel bag over my shoulder and exited the shop with a wave to Nikolai. I had given all of the scavenged rifles and grenades to Vika, leaving myself with just the AK-103 and the SR-80 scoped rifle. Besides them, the duffel bag had the comfortable weight of a few dozen magazines and a couple hundred loose rounds.

After making my way through Polis for thirty minutes, I stopped outside a cafe and looking inside. Must by the place, as I could see Odessa, Anton, Dmitri, and another man I did not know sitting at a table (Hope thats everyone so far). Flipping on the tape recorder in my pocket, I walked in and pulled up another table so that it was next to theirs. Sitting down, I nodded hello to those who I knew and asked "Who are you?" to the man I did not, eyeing him cautiously.

She wasn't there. I walked around in the bar and although it was almost empty, I felt like I looked rediculous searching every booth for her. I eventually strolled over to the barkeeper. "What can I do for ya?", he asked me. "Have you seen the little girl that bought the bottle of wine here a while back?", I asked. He rubbed his chin as he seemed to go back in time in his mind. "She left here soon after you did, I suppose", he answered me. I slightly nodded a little to nobody but the air before I said "Alright, thank you" and turned around, on my way to leave the bar. Polina should have been there. Perhaps she had changed her mind, or perhaps she had gotten lost. She was a clever girl, so if she really wanted to join us that much, she would find out how to get to the lone ranger by herself. I was now slowly walking towards the exit of the bar.

    Cmon, Bamul... :p

It was about 20 to 30 minutes when the group slowly began to emerge at the local bar. Apparently the place is where they planned to meet. Just as i expected. I finished my drink and the waiter took it from me. But i decided to still chill at the Cafe. I had a clear sight on the bar across the platform, and they couldnt really see me either.

It was getting kind of warm here, and only in Polis did the temperature change occasionaly due to the heaters and air conditioners always shifting. And so i took off my jacket and put it in my bag. I put my modified Scorpion SMG on top of the jacket, and zipped the bag back up.

This revealed my long sleeve grey shirt. A very comfortable, and yet all around shirt. I rolled up my sleeves about half way up my forearm. And adjusted my watch, the one i got from my dad who got it from his father back before the Great War.

    And, again, i waited.

"Hey! wake up, traveler. Your times up. You can buy another night if you wish or leave." a voice said from the entrance of my tent before walking off. Reluctantly I shook myself from my enveloping sleep and rummaged my stuff together before leaving. As I did every morning I looked down at my watch and gazed at it's motionless hands for a few brief moments. After this I searched for the nearest working clock and obtained the proper time. 6:02am.

Quickly I poked my head into "The lone ranger" to make sure the woman and her companions were still there. They were. (At least a couple more than last night). Once again this allowed me to rest easy knowing I hadn't missed their departure or disappearance during the night. After confirming this I decided a Polis morning routine was in order. So, I dragged myself to the cleaning hut and got all freshened up. A cold shower, washed clothes and a tooth brushing (with salt water of course).

Feeling physically refreshed I now turned to my weapons.

Shit. Rust and shit. Those were the words that came to mind as I examined my AK. It did the job of getting me here to Polis but it Merely looked threatening. In fact it looked so seized up that it wouldn't surprise me to find it was inoperable... Ah, who am I kidding? It's an AK of course it'll fire!. But still it'd need to be replaced for my kind of work.
The sawed off 870 hanging from my hip on the other hand was a different story. It wasn't going anywhere. My CZ would too remain.

Approaching a local arms dealer I plopped the AK on the front counter with a thud. This got the attention of the man in the back who was busy sewing plates onto a vest or something. "Can I help you" he asked curiously. "Yes, I'm looking for a replacement for this piece of junk." I replied while pointing to the rotting carcass of my AK. "Well, got anything in mind? Assault rifle?, SMG?... What."

I was a bit surprised by the question as I had been so fixated on simply departing with my current rifle that I had not the slightest clue what I planned to replace it with. "Uh... Hmmm... I need something compact... Silent, deadly and tactical... Preferably inexpensive."

The man stood still in thought for a moment, mentally flipping through every gun. "Well... I just recently got ahold of a 9a-91 but that's one of my more expensive displays. Would a silenced MP5 work?... No?, ok." suddenly his face lit up in a divine moment of remembrance as he appeared to find the perfect answer. "I've got it! I was supposed to ship out my last three ""Gorza's"" to another costumer a week ago but he suddenly changed his request to just two, so I'm stuck with a third. It'd be perfect for what you just said if I put a silencer on it. Besides, I need to get rid of it for new stock so for you.. Ermm... 3 clips for the OTs-14, silencer and... Two magazines. Deal?"

The deal was pretty good, and the rifle too. It was luck for me since I wouldn't be able to afford much more than that. "...Deal" I said satisfied. He smiled warmly and shook my hand. "Come bake in a half hour and all have it ready for you, ah will you be paying for this all right now?"

"No. I have to go get the bullets but I'll leave you what I have now for a down payment". And with that said I pulled out the last magazines of MGR I had and placed it in front of him "There's 21 bullets in there now. I'll give you the rest when I come to pick it up". I explained to him. He nodded and quickly disappeared back into the back room. With our business done I left the shop and made my way into a small alley which was dark, empty and near the back of the station. It was quite a walk considering but worth while.

Carefully removing A discolored tile from the wall I smiled in triumph as six magazines full of MGR lay stacked in two rows, collecting dust. I sure was glad we decided to put things like this throughout the Metro...
Taking four of the mags I carefully replaced the tile and made sure no one was looking, then began my walk back to the arms dealer. It was about 40 minutes until I got back through the bustling "city" but eventually I made it.

"Is it ready?" I asked the man. He still had the glowing smile on his face as he placed the rifle on counter. It was wrapped in a worn blue cloth but he quickly removed this in presentation. "She's not the most beautiful but she'll get the job done right." he added. Feeling satisfied once again I placed the remaining two mags on the counter and the few loose ones that were required. Finally I got to put my hands on the weapon, lifting it into the air and doing some basic motion with it. "Feels good. How many more mags 'you have left for it?" I asked simply because two was not enough. "Three... There your for another mag of MGR"

I didn't argue the price feeling so happy and carelessly tossed the MGR at him. He matched me by placing the remaining three full mags on the counter. I too took these mags with pleasure before parting ways with another friendly handshake and goodbye.
Now that my weapons matched m physical wellness I decided to head back to "The lone ranger" and continue to monitor the group.

Arriving once more at the bar I sat down at a different table and ordered a cup of tea and a basket of black bread.

Sipping the tea and munching away at the bread another long day of spying began to slowly stretch out. And stretch... And stretch.

After I finished the joint I tossed the remainder of the paper in the trash bin.
A lot of people had gathered already, but I expected even more to arrive. Soon, one of the guys pulled another table up next to ours, and turned on a tape recorder. Is this some weird form of interrogation or what?

Okay, I'm back (was on holiday in Poland). I've been back since Tuesday, but I've been really busy and only today had a chance to check the forum. Could someone please fill me in on everything that's happened while I was gone?
