Roleplay part 9

What the? lol. I guess this fits in with my character.

I continued looking at the pages on my book for a while until the Group resumed their normal conversations. All seemed normal until one of the men mentioned university.

At that moment I slowly dropped my book to the counter and rubbed my neck gently.

I have never heard of anything like this before in University. I actually haven't heard this story at all. This seemed a bit suspicious to me and hard to comprehend.

I grabbed my ear plug out of my bag and slowly put it in my ear. I held it close and pressed a switch. Then continued after a minute of static. Quitely whispering into the device.

"Sir, they made discussions about University. Yes Sir. No sir just now. Okay. Right.........Yes Sir."

And with that I got my given orders. I put my plug back into my bag and zipped it back up. I lifted my book and continued scanning the pages.

I've never heard about this 'weapon' before. And here I am.

Orders are to follow.

 

After a few minutes it finally began to sink in. Super Soldiers that turned into mutants, a weapon capable of destroying the whole Metro, what else could you wish for? Does the Metro not already have enough problems as it is? Why would someone want to use this weapon to kill the last remnants of humankind? These questions I will have to find the answer to these questions later but surely if you destroy the Metro you destroy hope. Hope, hope is what we need but if we lose hope we lose everything we are, because we are hope.

"I'm in." I told him.

i sat there hearing this and it made me think this guy was crazy for sure i put my helmet on and started messing with my lighter just to pass the time

 

I looked up from my work for a minute.
Country-destroying weapons, super-soldiers turned mutant, and all set in a, as far as I knew, mythique, cut-off station that nobody had visited since the bombs fell.
This all hardly seemed credible at all, but what really does down here?
I looked down again, deciding not to open my mouth to much 'til this was sorted out, going to the Emerald City wasn't excactly probable to lead me to my past, but staying with the group was more likely to lead me to it in the long run than anything else. Though I was starting to doubt my statisthic math here..

 

TheStalker is right, he already said that "Mr.Stalker" is not Boris' character, but I must admit that I got a little confused for some seconds back there as well. Here's how it is:
When Joe mentionedt "Mr.Stalker", he was referring to TheStalker's second character: One of Joe's old colleague's spies. Benjamin misunderstood that and thought that Joe was referring to Boris, but Joe never noticed Boris; he was talking about Vlad's spy.

I caught myself in looking at Joe for a while with a bit of a suspicious face expression. I have to admit that I found it difficult to believe him after my impressions of him, but I knew that he deserved our respect and belief, so I decided to go with it. "Alright. I think it is a good idea that we go to this base of yours if we really are being as surveillanced as you say. Where is it? Will this Vlad friend of yours be trying to get in our way?", I asked.

 

Thanks for clearing it out, I was pretty confused about it.

 

Once again things were going great. The information was flowing and well, informational...
It had only been about five minutes since I started lingering shadily behind the bar yet I was already catching the eyes of a few police officers. I did my best to act casual and ordinary but soon enough two of them approached me and booted me out of the area for "suspicious activity". I was forced to comply so as to not start a ruckus and put the Rangers on edge. Plus, if the guards felt they needed to check my documents they might recognize my face from previous deeds committed here and arrest me strat away. Luckily they seemed uninterested in digging deeper and looked no further than my balaclava.

Feeling set back and no longer able to stalk the group I pondered long and hard on how i would manage to catch them. Suddenly a lightbulb flickered in my head.
I would simply wait till they left the sheild of Polis and confront them head on in the tunnels. They will tell me their plans...

 

"i think this is guy is crazy but im in"i said putting the lighter away and pulling my visor up"mostly because i want out of polis again and you guys seem like good people"i went on then said no more

 

I realised that Benjamin was still holding my tant.. eh.. knife, and I reached out and grabbed it, while responding to his almost rambling stories, not quite sure where to start:
"Well, thank you, at least. It's nice to actually know something about it."
I took the blade out of the scabbard, looking at my reflection in the, as Benjamin had implied, pristine quality steel, "I'm sure it would most likely be more useful in the hands of someone who actually knows something about it. Still, this, along with the burned, now discarded, clothes I once wore is the only thing I have that I had before losing my memory."
I put the tantō, there it was, back in my belt, were it had been since before I could remember, and finished of my almost rambling story with a repeated "Thanks."

By the bye, what happened to that "Rex"-feller who posted a while back? (Not that I expect anybody to know..)

 

I nodded to the university scientist to his request about leaving, but the call was not mine to make. For the first time in many years, I had to prove myself from the ground up. I liked a challenge, and I liked a fight. There would be plenty of that with this group, and a joyful feeling spread throughout my body as I re-sheated my my pistol and battleaxe.

 

i pulled my visor down and said"im ready to leave as well"then stood up

 

I finished up reassembling the pistol, letting the slide rack in a round before putting it back into my holster. "Where is your base at, Joe?" As I asked, I remained seated at the table, not quite willing to leave before I had a bit more information.

 

*gathering my gear and my new kniffe, I got ready to go. There was a secret tunnel entrance close by, and I guessesd that was what Joe was refering to. having a last sip of my coffee I stood up and got ready to depart*

'right, ready when you are guys' I said looking to the group.

 

Well, Rex was just a random station guard, nothing to think about really.

Everyone seemed prepared and ready to leave to Joe's base which was supposedly outside of Polis. I was interested in seeing it, and so I stood up.
"Alright, time to move again", I said as I began to walk towards the exit of the bar, making sure everyone was following.

 

So obviously I didn't get 500 MGR right? Just thinking about who should pay for the bar.
