I almost only play on Survival. Only time I go on Creative is if I need to test some redstone circuitry really quickly and flying would help a lot.

Creative mode is simply boring, even if you're a creative mind. If you can't build it in survival by doing it the hard way, then I really am not interested in it. Fight off mobs, mine for supplies, and build the structures. That's how you challenge yourself and really build something great.
