It's never let me shoot the targeting system. I don't even get a revolver.

hahah, maybe youre shooting too many people..! If you look and listen carefully there are indicators for when you get good and bad moral points (though im not telling you what they are!)

You know when you go up to the surface, just after returning Sasha to his mother, and you have to hide to avoid the Nazi patrol? i thought, as they were going to attack the station i would stop them. i let them past, went up the ladder and silently took out the guard patrolling the walkway, then came back down, threw dynamite into the group of Nazis waiting at the station entrance, and then AK'd the survivors... i think i lost A LOT of moral points for that! The developers have said that the moral system isnt strictly based on ideas of good and bad though, its more complex than that.

Over my playthroughs i have had a couple of endings, one where i was alone on the roof with a pistol and the choice to take out the designator, but another where i thought more carefully about my choices which left me on the roof with a pistol, the designator AND a dying Dark One at my feet reaching out for mercy...

Also, as we're talking about the ending, there ARE still people who haven't played Metro yet, maybe there should be some spoiler tags in the thread title?

i'm interesting 4a say about a change in morality system, to be more complicated.. which it is not simple numerical system but it will be like " your choice and the consequence of your action"

btw, correct me if i wrong:)

I want that thing as a pet.

Btw, it is impossible to get the choice for the good ending without getting enough of the positive points. The points system is very well-designed in that you don't really know about it at all, so you can only make real decisions instead of doing it from a completionist's point of view. Of course, this is sort of ruined by all the information available about it on the internet and defeats the whole purpose of there being no information about the points - but at least more people know about it now.

Most of the points you get aren't that apparent. Of course, there are the few obvious occasions where you get to make a choice by clicking one of the mouse buttons, but most of the points you get are actually for exploring. Moreover, you get points for staying in the shadows and listening to the conversations of enemies in hostile territory. Lastly, you get points for not killing any humans when you are given the choice to sneak past (like during the Frontline, Outpost or Black Station levels).

Actually, the scene I see here is somewhat like the entertainers are animal abusers, taking advantage of the mutie, and are a hindrance to your mission. Artyom or Artyom's companion then decides to break its fetters and use it as a distraction to get what they need from the ring leader, namely information, a key, or what not.

It's a text book example of being hoist by your own petard.

Sorry, didn't realize you did... okay, how about this: you keep him from Monday till Friday, and I will pick him up on the weekends? I'll make sure he is well-fed, entertained and goes to bed early.
