Pretty decent for a fan film.

    Die Another Day

Didn't even sit through the whole thing. The absolute worst of the Brosnan Bond flicks.

    Underworld: Awakening

Let me be clear about this, these movies are fucking stupid and the perfect example of Hollywood's mantra: style over substance. That being said, I enjoyed the original quite a bit back in the day. The sequel, Underworld: Evolution, was trash and I don't even remember what Rise of the Lycans was about. Awakening is about as mediocre and clichéd as its subtitle suggests BUT there are a few elements that make it worth watching once; visually it's the most atmospheric of the four, secondly we have the phenomenal actor Charles Dance in a small but interesting role as a pacifist vampire leader, there's some fairly entertaining and fun to watch action and quite a bit of gore.

    The World is Not Enough

Enjoyed it from beginning to end. As good as GoldenEye in my book, save for an unconvincing/miscast role or two and some silly bits of dialogue here and there. Title song by Garbage is ace.

Enough with these damn Bond flicks now!

Watched this and loved it - but the bit with the mother felt childish, forced and unnecessary. It was hilarious when her words were repeated later on.

    The Name of the Rose

I've seen this one so many times I lost count. Mystery/thrillers don't get much better than this.

    Predator

Another one of my all-time favourites, directed by John McTiernan (Die Hard). I can only imagine how much audiences must've been blown away by the SFX and creature design at the time.
Schwarzenegger is a terrible actor but I consider this to be his best performance ever. The jungle still looks authentic but sadly some of the visual effects have lost their oomph by today's standards. Still, I cannot recommend this thoroughly entertaining sci-fi gem highly enough.

I loved Predator, I even have it on DVD. (One of the very few DVDs I have). Arnold is one of my favorite actors, but I can understand how you mean that he's not a good actor, really.

Yesterday, I watched Total Recall. A Sci-fi/action movie that was based more on the action than the story, which made it more of a meaningless shooter.
Ted, the new comedy by the producers of Family Guy. It was alright, but I wasn't really overthrilled by it.
Last, I watched Four Brothers. Now, this is a movie you all should see!
It's in Detroit, where an old woman is killed. Her four sons comes to her funeral, lives in her house for a while and decides to go and get revenge, and ends up getting the whole ghetto after them. It has a really nice story. There's a lot of scenery that shows the characters and gives you a good view at them, and at the same time, there's not too little action. It looks very old, as if it's from the 90's, but it's actually from 2005. 9/10 for this one. I really suggest for you all to see this movie.

Great choice, man. This movie has always been one of my all time favorites! What were your thoughts on Predators, with Adrian Brody?

The last movie I watched was The Divide (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1535616/) A post-apocalyptic film which delves into the more unsettling psychoses that can be induced once the world ends. Very eerie film, and very uncomforting. It had a good soundtrack as well, and was very well made given the fact that it was an indie flick.

Having seen Antal's Kontroll before watching Predators, I had very high hopes and thought that he could repair some of the damage the AVP movies had caused to the series. Sadly I didn't like Predators very much. Now, it was nowhere near the mind-numbing levels of shite that the AVP movies were but it just wasn't all that memorable. Thought the multicultural cast of racial stereotypes was embarrassing and the conflict between two predator races was unnecessary. Very much liked the new predator designs though!

ps: Not a big fan of Predator 2 either...

I just checked out the trailer for Divide. Man, that movie definitely looks like it's worth a watch.

By the way, here's the trailer for Four Brothers.

    Deranged

Chronicles the Ed Gein case in a fairly graphic way for a 70's flick. Quite liked it but a narrator interrupts the flow of things once too often. I'd recommend Ed Gein (aka In the Light of the Moon) over this one. Steve Railsback truly nails the role in that one.

    There's Something About Mary

I remember one of my early girlfriends dragging me into this back in the late 90's. Some very funny bits but ultimately boils down to a simple romcom. Not a fan of Ben Stiller though.

    The Dark Knight Rises

I've watched it once a day for four days in a row now. Enjoyed it even more than in theatres and it gets better every time I see it.
A couple of things really bother me but I'd have to venture into spoiler territory and I'd rather not, even if this forum offers the handy spoiler tags.

Can't bloody wait for The Dark Knight Trilogy blu ray box set next month! This calls for a marathon with the lads! :target:

    The Master - 9/10

An amazing film that has really surprised me. It's quite artistic, masterfully filmed and has a beautiful score. The plot itself is nothing extraordinary, but it is only the basis to hold up the fantastic characterization and atmosphere of the movie. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a change from the usual Hollywood blockbuster.

I saw Flight and that was a pretty good movie. My British friend told me about a British movie called Four Lions and I saw it and I loved it. It is one funny ass movie. He showed it to me because I'm middle eastern and the movie is about 5 British Muslims who want to be terrorists but fail terribly at it. And the movie is based off a real terror plot.

Wow. I just watched a movie called Kung Pow Enter The Fist. It's an awfully dubbed, completely random parody of a movie that I assume to be called Kung Fu Enter The Mist.
I sat up tonight for a while too long to watch that movie, but it was well worth it. Had an extremely good laugh throughout the whole movie :D

    Clue

I absolutely love this movie. Such a deliciously over-acted and cleverly written murder mystery based on a bloody good boardgame. Also:
    multiple endings

lol Watched that about a month ago, hilarious in parts, terrible in others hahaha!

Just watched Silence of the Lambs. Very terrible subject matter, but it was an incredible movie. Acting and cinematography was excellent!
