    That is one good movie.

Also if anyone has seen the Red Dawn remake can you let me know if it is any good? The first one was amazing but knowing how most remakes are I don't want to spend money and find out that the movie was shit.

    The Witches of Eastwick

Y'know, this one's a lot of fun. Jack Nicholson's performance is ace! I remember the cherry-scene scared me when I was a kid, now I couldn't stop laughing.

    7/10

    Messengers 2: The Scarecrow

The original was a bunch of horseshit and I didn't expect the sequel (or prequel? whatever.) to be any better. Nonsensical story, shite performances, plotholes a plenty... At least the main theme is pretty good.

    Not really, no.

    Wolf

Ouch... Not as good as I remember... Good performances from Nicholson, Pfeiffer & Spader but there's a big character continuity error that causes the plot to shit itself inside out.

    Meh/10

Carry on Cruising. Absolutely stupid, cheeky jokes and a rather eccentric array of characters but extremely fun to watch. I'd give it about a 3.5/5 because it was highly entertaining but it's not the sort of film i'm in to.

Finally got a hold of a UK copy of this 80's gem. I'm surprised to see how clean this version looks with anamorphic widescreen and improved colours. It looks a hundred times better than the crappy US & Australian copies I had to make do with for years.

Directed by Steve Miner (Friday the 13th Part 2 & Part III, Halloween H20).

This is a very flawed and very silly supernatural thriller but for some reason it just stuck with me ever since I first saw it when I was a wee lad. Terrific pacing, some nice bits of gore here and there, rock-solid performances from both Julian Sands & Richard E. Grant and a catchy score by Jerry Goldsmith.

    7/10

ps: Don't bother with the sequels, they're utter shite.

Jerry Goldsmith composed the original Alien score, didn't he?

Sounds quite nice; makes me wanna watch that movie, regardless of how cheesy it might be. Besides, cheesy films are often very entertaining.

Oh, it's very cheesy (the fact that it's made in the 80's says it all) but very entertaining indeed!

    The Stand

It took me quite some time to get through this. Six hours long. Six MOTHERFUCKING hours of atrocious acting, awful characters and uninteresting subplots. I rarely feel this way after watching a movie but I truly feel like shit for wasting 6 hours of my life watching this rubbish.
Stay far away from this, folks. Instead do the dishes, clip your toenails, shave, take out the garbage, scrape some carrots, ... Anything! But do not try to kill time by watching The Stand.

Much like The Shining (1997) & Rose Red, which I actually enjoyed, it's actually a mini-series strung together as a movie on 2 discs.
