The last movie you watched?

All I have seen, is the poster. It's everywhere. Both the name of the movie, and the poster, combined with how modern the movie-industries are, I'd say that it sucks big time and is a huge failure :)

Last movie I watched was Jack Reacher. It's a crime/action based movie. And I'm tired of that, after watching too much NCIS and CSI MIAMI etc.
The first half of the movie was pretty boring, and the last half was action-packed. What I did like about this movie, though, is that it had its "anti-hollywood" moments. For example the car driving. In Fast&Furious, for example, you see the cars gliding around perfectly and just barely avoiding bumping into anything. In this film, the main character is a very good driver, but he still crashes and bumps into something here and there, which is very realistic. The damages on the car is also something realistic.

Also, in many movies, it ends with the good guy fist-fighting with the bad guy in the dark with lots of heavy rain and all that. Clichè, I know, but in this movie it lacked music, and the fighting wasn't so long-lasting and extreme like for example in Die Hard. (Dunno which of the Die Hard movies I am comparing it to).

It was sort of like a very good episode of a crime-series being lengthened and detailed into a movie. So, well, personally, from my point of view, I give it a 6/10.

The movie you watched is not Django. It's a remake of Django, and it's called Django Unchained. Sorry if I seem pissy about this, I just get frustrated when people forget about the originals. :p

    Silent Hill Revelation

Dear science on earth... I didn't expect it to be any good but this is a fucking turd. I'm talking Paul W.S. Anderson's Resident Evil levels of nonsensicalness here.

    No rating.

    O Brother, Where Art Thou?

The type of movie I could watch over and over again. Thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end.

    The Last Winter

Nothing spectacular but the eerie atmosphere does make it very interesting.

V for Vendetta was a good film, but it wasn't very accurate with the original comic book.

22 bullets. I believe the movie is French, actually.
Without spoiling too much, I'll say the main plot:

A man who has previously been working with the mafia, has resigned and lived peacefully for some years until the mafia eventually seeks him up and "kills" him. Miraculously, he survives with 22 bullets in his body, and from there-on, it's revenge revenge revenge. It's a little old, and perhaps a little slow-paced, but it has a great plot. The only thing I strongly disliked with it, which I find in surprisingly many other movies as well, is the fact that the car-chase scenes were just played in fast forward. So awful and silly to watch :p Other than that, it was a pretty good movie.

    6,5/10.

I recently got a chance to re-watch one of my childhood favorites: The Ghost and The Darkness.

The story revolves around a military engineer who designs bridges for a living, and he is sent to Tsavo (a country in Africa which means "a place of slaughter") in order to help the British in building a bridge so that they can beat the French in taking over portions of Africa. Based on a true story, Patterson accepts the job and heads to Africa, only to find that the building of the bridge has been halted by a pair of rogue male lions that hunt together, which the workers have infamously named: The Ghost, and The Darkness. These lions reign havoc upon the workers, and the movie is amazing. The sound engineering is stellar, making good use of both stereos. It falls under the reign of Jaws, only it actually happened. Starring in the movie are actors such as Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas. Strongly recommended, as it is one of my favorites for a reason.

    10/10

Team 'Murica is awesome, such a caricature of the world.
Lately the "Film Actors Guild"-joke has become more and more serious, with celebs thinking they can stop famine by making commercials, and ban guns.

The best modern horror I have seen in a long time. It's "scary" without having to resort to things jumping out of nowhere and making you jump. I think that if it was in English it would probably ruin it.

Transformers 3. It was good, but I felt like I saw rip-offs everywhere in it, and the 1st and 2nd were better. Much better.

The Darkest Hour. It just felt.... pointless. 'Nuff said.

I've never really found Megan Fox as attractive as everyone else does. I mean, sure she's pretty and all but not that beautiful in my eyes, but perhaps that's just me...
