You will have to pardon my absence, I've had a bit of a busy week, of sorts. It has, however, been sorted out, and my best will be done to hinder similar situations in the future.

    How hilariously demeaning!
After my dialouge with Pyotr, I had quite simply retracted into myself and the unsettling feeling that had taken me over before.
I had fallen asleep when we arrived at the train! And so shortly following a lengthier period of sleep than I could even recall before it.
Had I even responded to Pyotr's last questions?
    What had he even asked?

Withal, I must declare: A softer awakening would have been welcome.
The end of my somewhat curious slumber followed a collision, it would seem, though, that the culprit was far on his way. Bandits, apparently.
Wait, we were almost at Kievskaya?
Why had no one awoken me before? I recalled no dreaming, but doing so here could, to my memory, be quite a horrid experience.

My half-sleeping mind came to, and other things were on the minds of the group I had mentally left behind; through the masterful art of using eyes, the apparentness of the concern was clear. Missing troops.
And so I found myself not far from a situation that often was repeating itself around me: Everybody was troubled, and I laughed.
"It appears I might have slipped away for a moment," I said, "My apologies. I should have some rope down here, though." I found the tattered nylon cord in one of my backpack's many pockets, and flung it over to Boris. There was even a surface-rusted grapple-hook at the end of it. I remember having to pay way too much for that back at a market somewhere.
Ah.. These tense situations always got me in a good mood.

It didn't take long for my companions to respond to me idea. I was tossed a grenade by Iakov, but it turned out Ilaryitch's rope already had a grappling hook attached. As I started swinging the rope to gain momentum, I wondered if this simple rope could really drag along our multi-ton train. Maybe if we keep up full speed on our own train, minimizing the strain on the rope. The bandit train was within seven metres now. I stuck my head out the side window of the cockpit, and threw the grappling hook as best I could towards the busted window on the rear of the bandit train. It had to work.
Success. The hook had attached itself beneath the seat row on the back of the cart. I noticed the speed meter going up to 70 km/h. Now the bandits could not escape, and we had time to plan a rescue operation.

sorry guys busy week. my sis-in law has been in hospital seriously ill (she's home now) and I've been on training all week, and now I think I got a chest infection. I'll try to post as often as I can

*and as usual everything went from 'nothing to do but wait' to 'hey, let's wreck some havoc'. and so it was that a cart, parked in the middle of the tracks, signalled the begining of trouble. one second Sab was checking it out, the next she was being dragged onto it by bandits I assumed. Boris had a good idea and so we managed to hook the cart to our train. I just hoped the rope would hold.

I prepared my L85 and pumped Old Faithful and got ready. we were nearly there*

What vibe? I'm just trying to find out of you and Skaara are plotting in secrets :p I'm not that touchy if that's what you thinks... Although I am quite squishy to the touch.

This is exactly the kind of stuff I fear happening in these parts, only not even close to what I would expect to happen around these parts... Wait...

Either way things got pickled pretty fast with Sab's abduction and her kidnappers fleeing. Iakova managed to gun down a pair of the pickles which nearly threw me into a fit until my anger was calmed by the introduction of more pickles. If those had been the only pickles in the jar we would have no one to interrogate once we reached Krasno' as the pickles themselves stated. it may seem silly to not want to gun someone down but since they clearly did not intend to harm Sab at the moment that means there's something more to this whole set up, and Iakova nearly killed our only leads.

Since we were lucky however... The chase continued. Boris had managed to hook a rope to their train and we trailed behind at a dangerous distance. I feared for us all, and made it clear to everyone, "We have to slow down! We'll wreck if we hit Krasno. The barricades! Hansa will obliterate us with the big guns if we don't die in the crash first! Those pickles are suicidal! They'll never make it through, even at these speeds!"

I had a quick idea, with no way of knowing if it will work or not of leaning out and shooting their trains wheels and mechanical do-hickies but the engine car was unseeable from out angle.

All I could do was stand attentively for whatever happened, whether we crashed or... What? I just hoped Sab would make it out ok.

Ohhh, pffft, haha. Well, we did chat a little bit. :) If not an extended appearance, I do want to set up a cameo in the RP so that I get a chance to try everything out and meet everyone's characters for later RPs. This is an alright OOC colour, I hope. :D

We generally use red so I'd stick to that... And if you don't start using it I'll hunt you down and find the red for you, just not the red you'd like to see...

I held my mouth in anticipation as Boris threw the hook onto the speeding cart. YES! It hit, and held tight. Accelerating, we tried to avoid putting too much tension on the rope. I looked to the cart ahead. I would have no clear shot, besides, that head poking out could be Sabrina's and I doubt it'd please her if I shot her accidentally. I may lose my payment. I mulled over a few ideas, holstering my VSS. I looked around, we had a good strong force. Supposing we liberated Sab, we'd be way of course. Sab would know how to get back on track. But how would be do that? We couldn't get to them, our cart wouldn't accelerate enough. Shooting would kill Sab in the crossfire. Stopping the cart would mean we'd crash onto them. There was one option left: we'd have to confront them when they stop.

"This sounds crazy but hear me out. We can't shoot the bandits down, or Sab gets caught in the cross-fire. We can't catch up to them, and crawling across that rope is suicide. My suggestion is we wait until this cart reaches it's destination, and we overcome them, and free Sab. Anyone up for that?"

Your really dictating how the story goes in this situation since it affects you so heavily, Skaara. If this RP's gonna move forward you need to give us something to work with.

Aw, I was hoping you guys'd be creative so I wouldn't have to :p

A pair of strong hands held me down against the floor in the cart, and I heard someone yelling "They're onto us! Increase the speed!", and another man yelling "I've got it floored, this thing won't go any faster!". I twisted my neck, firmly placed my teeth around the thumb of the hand holding down my right shoulder, and bit as hard and for as long, as I could. The eventual taste of blood, mixed with filth, filled my mouth before I had to let go of the hand as it retracted followed by a scream. "Ah, the f*cking bit*h bit me!", a voice yelled from ontop of me. With my right arm free, I grabbed the large hunting knife in my holster; they had already taken my Makarov, it seemed. I lifted my arm, then swung it back down again, burying the blade deep in the man's thigh. He screamed even louder this time. Understandable.

I pulled the knife back out of the man's right thigh, and now he collapsed to his right as his thigh wouldn't carry him anymore. By the time I had managed to roll onto my back and placed myself in a defensive position, another of the savages had already begun throwing himself over me. It was too late for him to stop his charge as he was falling over me, the knife sinking into his chest, breaking a rib. He let out a shallow last breath with a whooshing noise, some blood flying out with the last bit of C02. I rolled him over onto his back, and followed him by ending up with sitting on hist stomach on my knees, pulling the knife back out. His eyes stared soullessly into the ceiling. The next minute was spent flying around in the cart with slashing, stabbing and punching in every direction. A few gunshots were fired, but there was nothing they could do. I was unleashed.

Breathing heavily and looking in every direction around me hastily, I slowly calmed down as I realized they were all dead. Or, well, half-dead at least. I found my silenced Makarov on one of the bodies, and disarmed the rest of them to be sure. Then I heard voices further back in the cart, and I saw someone coming from there, running towards me. Now I saw a dim light slightly growing more and more, and I thought I heard voices. I hurried to what seemed to be the front of the cart with some sort of control panel and looked out through a crack in the armored plate. OH SHI- The cart was heading directly towards a dead end in a station, and I could hear agitated voices getting ready in the station. Frantically, I hit every possible button on the dashboard until I hit the breaks. In an instant, I flied onto the dashboard and flopped against the crack. Looking out, the cart was definitely on collision course with a barred wall. Quickly, I did the only thing I could do to save myself: I rolled off the dashboard onto the floor.

I could see some men further down in the cart, closing in on me, sprinting towards me. But it was too late for them. In a matter of seconds, I could see the cart crumbling together with a loud smash. I closed my eyes as my back was pushed against the bottom of the dashboard and the whole cart flew up into the ceiling, taking a half salto in the air. The loud noise of creaking and scraping metal being wrecked and ripped rang in my ears, and then silence. I didn't know if I was lying upside down, or however. All I knew, was that it was all black.

Alright, we've crash-landed in the station of The Great Worm Cult. Wether or not you'll be able to stop the train in time, is up to you guys, but most likely there'll be some angry worms incoming ;)

I was rising from my seat when the train ahead of us hit the stopper, was thrown up and forwards. The blurred spectacle that was Pobedy Park was gone as fast as it had arrived. There was no chance of the train stopping in time, not at this speed. End of the line, ironically literally.
A brief moment. A split second balanced upon the edge of time's blade. That was all there was.
    Then we collided as well.
What could go through the cultists minds as two of their "Great Worms" made such an entrée?
I do not believe I was out for long, if I even lost consiousness at all. When I came to, there was a light somewhere ahead of me, something I believed did not occur too much in this station, not that I had visited in a long time. Smoke filled my nose, and, unable to find my bag, I covered over my mouth with my sleeve.
Some red light was blinking in the front of the carriage, and that light along with the flames now at speed engulfing the other train, was the only points of reference I had. All else was a murky black void. I could find no member of our little battalion, my RPK was tied to my rucksack, which I also could not find, and I had no lightsource on my person.
I made my way towards what I thought I could make out as a door. With my axe I battered out what revealed itself to be a vent, or some sort of emergency exit in the roof, and crawled out into the enclosed, damp air of the station. And into a quite as enclosed inferno.

As I had feared, the worst happened. A barricaded station. The pickles train shot right up into the ceiling and came screaming back down in a roll, our train close behind. Although I stood in the conductors room I never even had time to think about slowing us down. Not like it would have made a difference anyway...

All I could do was squeeze my eyes shut and tense up and as if on an old world trampoline I was thrown up and out the front window. I opened my eyes here when the weightless feeling took me in a moment of absolute terror. It was strange. My brains only had time to process one image of the scene as it went by faster than a speeding train, yet it felt like forever up in the sky. I feel like the image was burned into my skull that very instant. Glass flocked at my side and shimmered in the upward beams of the ever farthing train. Below me a storm of dust brewed and through it emerged Sab's train. I see something through the shattering panes of passenger windows that strikes in my mind as a person inside, or maybe just a moments reflection. And that's all I get before my flight time expires and I explode onto the (now skyward facing) side of Sab's train, back first.

A great relief overtook me when the impact felt numb and surprisingly painless, more awkward than anything else. Everything came to a stand still and went quiet instantly, just as it should be. Only the sound of a crackling fire broke the silence as I lie there and staring into the dark.

I tried to take a deep breath but was stopped by the choking dust, and something else... Straining to lift my head up I peered over my chest and legs to see where the soothing crackle of the fire came from and saw it a little ways away from our sticky wreck. When my neck could hold my head and helmet up anymore I let it flop back down. And as if blessed by the delicious sausage Gods themselves I felt the ground give out from under me and send me on yet another undesired sky trip, this time short and straight down.

It seemed I had been lying on a window pane which conveniently broke not under my weight but by my helmets tap. Only seconds ago we had been soaring the sky's together but now it betrays me!? Never trust a window I tell you!

All physics aside, I can safely say what happened next was the most painful thing I'll ever want to go through. As short a plop as it was from the top of the train to inside the carriage the impact seemed to have woken up all the nerves numbed by the first impact and as if injected with napalm I screamed like the crazy kooke I am as every nerve was individually burned alive in their homes. Cursing every thought I'd had at the painlessness of the initial impact I smacked myself in my conscience for thinking a blinding numbing feeling mention 'good'. My back was no doubt the biggest contributor to my hysterics as I felt the napalm oozing from my spine as I lie unable to move it an inch. I had to wait a moment or two, I don't know how long, before the initial blast of pain gave way to deeply unpleasant burn and aching I wanted end more than anything. Luckily, I could still wiggle my toes which was one immediate concern out of the way.

I stretched my arms out into the darkness, feeling the floor for anything of reference. I knew I was in the other train, but I'd heard no voices since my 'dropping in'. I got more worried. Is Sabrina ok? Nothing could make this situation worse than to hear bad news like that. Reaching up over my head along the ground my fingers grasped what I made out as a boot. I also knew of the other pickle passengers on this train but in that moment it was only me and her in the world. I called out weakly in the only audible voice I could muster which was a pathetically stressed whisper.

    "Sab... Is th-at you? Say someth-ing Sab. I... I can't move".

I found out a while ago that using Iakova means the same as John's, so from now own it's Iakov. So...yeah ._.
I went out searching for Arkadia. Alone. I figured I could handle a few bandits, they were often as inexperienced as Red Line conscripts. About 5 minutes later, I was searching a service room for him. I had an eerie feeling I was being watched, but I shrugged it off as mere concern.
Suddenly, I felt a small prick on my nick. "Ow!", I hollered as I looked over my shoulder to see what was responsible. On my neck was a large but thin dart, and behind that, a young boy dressed in merely a loincloth. My last thought before I hit the ground unconscious was: Fucking mudak...

I waited in the small tunnel. As a Welshman in Russia, I didn't know these tunnels, didn't know the stations and while being fluent in the language, cyrillic still sometimes caught me off guard, according to my tip-off, the tunnel I had been following would lead to the surface where I could find some weaponry to pay off one of my many debts. The crash really made me think I was in the wrong place. I didn't see it but heard it and was going to head back the way I came. But I heard people, maybe they were injured. I'd always thought myself and kind spirited and wanted to help but in the metro, people can be quite unfriendly so I felt I should wait until my assistance was called for

"Sab... Is th-at you? Say someth-ing Sab. I... I can't move", was the words that woke me up, and they stung in my ears like the sound of screeching and creaking metal. The sound of crackling fire, and the smell of the smoke from a burning train wreckage. I opened my eyes, and I was correct. Leaning my upper body up with my elbows on the traintracks under me, I could only see heaps of wrapped and ripped metal, resembling nothing close to a train. It was a wonder I was still alive. The metro had mercy on us, it would seem. But what about the rest? What about Ark? I leaned over to see a wrecked cart lying on its side with a hole in the roof so I could look into it. A person was lying there, and so I crawled over to investigate. Whilst crawling, I couldn't feel any pain other than some cuts and bruises. Other than that, it was just my whole body feeling like jelly.

Crawling through the hole in the roof, I found Ark lying on his back with shattered bloody glass all around him. He seemed to be alive, I guess it was him that had called out to me. "How's it going?", I whimpered out.

    "Fuck."
The most fitting description of what went through my mind the milliseconds before impact was "fuck". I might even said it out loud. Then the moment of clarity was substituted by an ear-wrenching roar of metal against metal, and I was thrown out through the windshield of the train, rolling at least a few meters along the rail tracks before coming to a halt.
I tried moving my limbs to see if any bones were broken. My shoulder was apparently dislocated, as revealed by a creeping pain. I grimaced in pain, but then decided it was time to get up - I was quite vulnerable laying face down.
Voices were heard inside the bandit wagon. I got on my feet, stumbled a bit, but the regained balance as I moved closer to the train. I peeped up over the windows, seeing Sabrina and Ark in a wonderful reunion. Ark seemed rather injured but Sabrina seemed to be able to handle herself. No other friendlies in sight. I broke through the glass with the butt of my AK-74M (to the noted displeasure of my dislocated shoulder) and climbed in. Kneeling down in a protective stance next to Ark, I asked a question I already knew the answer to: "We are in cannibal land now, aren't we?".
