I very much doubt the "much more mature"-part, but I am moving to PC actually. By the end of the year I should have most of the parts I need for my rig.

Okay, I walk quite fast, especially when I have a goal. Well, I take long strides. Anyway, there always seem to be very... wide people who walk as slowly as possible.. and when you try to get past them, they move into your path.. but they don't do it purposely.. I think? Anyway, they drive me crazy!!

So true, Von. Same here, really. I walk fast with long determined steps as well, especially when I've got somewhere to go to. Teenagers these days walk so damn slowly, so I always walk past them all, but they also always walk in the way. I walk in zig-zag through the buss station in the morning :p

I love acting all 'Assassin's Creed', flying between the slow people, dodging past others lol

Another thing which drives me crazy: emotions which you just can't control..

    What? We walk slowly?
Most of the time when I walk with my friends we walk at about 6 km/h.
But if I got somewhere to go, I use fast, determined steps or preferably just run.
That was in fact a rule in the military: If it's flat and not a swimming pool, you run.

Emotions can always be controlled. The key is finding the appropriate method to deal with them, depending on the situation.

I will refer to the Mythbuster lie detector test. No method worked to cheat the lie detector, and thus emotions can't be controlled - or couldn't by the testers, at least.

I saw that episode, and I'm very certain that Grant (If that's his name, I don't remember clearly) actually did beat the machine and did lie without it noticing. Emotions can be controlled. It's just finding the way to control them that isn't always possible.

People have passed a lie detector before. It is possible.

There was another test in the same episode, I think. And that's where the asian dude passed it, not sure though. Gotta rewatch it now :)

That's because when you lie it activates different bodily functions that can't easily be controlled by your brain. Dealing with emotions mentally however is easy, it just depends on how you decide to think and how you thought before you lied.

    That's not true.
    It depends. For example:
-The zombies in Left 4 Dead were fast and could jump stupidly high.
-The zombies in 28 days and 28 weeks later were super fast and strong.
-Some zombies in Resident evil are fast too, most notably in the third film.

There's plenty more. The ones in DayZ run at about the same pace as the player and can be slowed or stopped by running through a building (They can only walk in there), standing in a bush (they can't hit you but you can still shoot them) or just not alerting them in the first place.

First sentence is true, but you can still manage to control it. Though that's not easy, of course.
But the second one isn't necessarily correct. Dealing with mental emotions is fully possible, but rarely easy. Just like it is easy for me to change the breaks, wheels and shock absorber on a car for me, that might be next to impossible for another person who knows nothing about cars because he/she has never seen how it's done and/or never done it themself. It depends from person to person, really.

This is the most extreme example of controlling your emotions that I could think of.

I think most teenagers would likely say that controlling emotions can be difficult, and I agree. But we say this because we are still growing. Hormones still have a huge impact on our actions - ever wondered why sometimes you just had to slam the door, punch something or shout when you start your teen life at 12/13 years of age? It's a natural process of growing up. I'm 16 and many other members on the forum are of similar age. Obviously, we have already grown out of childlike angry behaviour that we had when we started being teenagers, but we are still growing and still get mood swings with occasional outbursts of anger that we would normally be able to control if we were adults. :p So, yeah, cerberus speak for yourself. I'm sure that, as a fellow human being, you also experienced emotional problems from time to time. ;)

I never said controlling emotions was easy. I said that it's always possible. Read between the lines.

Fair enough, but I still disagree. The environment, the personality and mental state of the person, as well as the situation, can vary so much that saying emotions can always be controlled seems a bit ignorant to me.
