I'm fine with Minecraft on console. It should have more features though. Most of the console ports of Minecraft are really basic , I don't think they're worth buying yet.

Personally I have not tried Minecraft for the consoles. However when my nephew next comes round he will probably bring Minecraft for the Xbox 360 with him, so I can give it a go this weekend. I've only ever tried the pocket version on my phone, and that was just a demo of it. I didn't like the controls and the touchscreen one bit, so I haven't gone back to it. I'm happy with the PC version.

I hated the crafting system on Xbox, I just didn't like how they changed it at all. It seemed alot slower and clunkier than the PC version, did anyone else find this?

I think it is quite difficult to play on a console and I don't see why I would even try that. On the PC version, you don't have to pay in order to play online.

I like the PlayStation 3 version of Minecraft, but I don't like that the computer version and the console version aren't same.

I really enjoy plying it on the 360. It's fun but simple. It was a good way to teach my son how to play the game. We're probably going to let him start playing on the PC pretty soon.

Minecraft Vanilla is a great idea for consoles. I mean it's such a simple game I don't see why people wouldn't want to play minecraft on a console.

It's great. This is going to increase the sales for the developers of Minecraft and probably motivate them to keep on creating future updates. I see no down-side to console-Minecraft.

PC version all the way, with its free modability and no DLC crap to pay for.

People actually play on consoles? Do they pay the same price as us PC players?
    WHYYY???

Consoles are severely limited, both hardware and software wise. I can't imagine why someone would get something as awesome as minecraft for something grossly inferior like a console.

Minecraft was meant to be a PC game. I too started off on Xbox, switched to PC version after some time and it was hell of a difference. Mojang has done a good job making this game for PC, but they could have done a better job on consoles.

Minecraft on console is very good fun! Although it does lack one important aspect, mods. Mods are, of course, only available on PC. Mods offer a very fun twist to Minecraft. It is of course possible to play without them, but it just isn't as fun.

I understand the decision of Mojang to make Minecraft for consoles. I have started playing Minecraft on the PC, and I think that the console version of Minecraft is very limited. I like that you can mod your Minecraft on PC, so that if vanilla gets boring or you just want a twist to Minecraft you are free to do so. I also don't like the way the controls are set up, the PC version seems much smoother to me.

Just like almost everyone else, I'm more of a PC lover. I really don't know what to expect from minecraft on a PS3 and I don't dare to buy it for 17 euro (which is quite a lot).

Obviously the PC version is the superior one. But I think the console version is really fun because it has split-screen, that way you can look when your friend falls in the lava. :D

I don't like minecraft for consoles at all. There are barely any people who make things like mods and stuff for it. It's also much harder to play on a console than to play on a PC.

It's quite impossible to make mods on console because developers would have no way to distribute them, you can't just put them on your hard drive and hope for it to work. However, mojang are looking into adding official mod support to Minecraft which could possibly mean mods on console as well

I purchased both minecraft and terraria on release date for the Xbox 360 and played the crap out of both. The simple reason was that Xbox was more popular with my friends and my best friend didn't really have a gaming pc of any sorts, so we played on the Xbox. I get shit for buying that version but the game was ridiculously fun, and arguably more enjoyable because I had real friends to play it with.

I don't mind it, but I prefer PC version all the way. I prefer PC gaming anyway, but just feel the game fits better on a PC. Sort of the same way Diablo fits way better on PC than console.

It's just smart marketing to appeal to a larger audience of players. Some people don't like PC gaming and go ahead and pick Minecraft up for their console.

It's coming to almost all he platforms now, except for Wii U (Poor Nintendo). But it will always be regarded as a PC game first since PC is where this game really shines.
