THQ actually dead; what now?

CD Projekt isn't a worldwide publisher. CD Projekt RED (the guys & girls who made The Witcher series and are now making Cyberpunk 2077 too) make games not publish them, while CD Projekt publishes full Polish translations of games in Poland and doesn't publish any games in other territories.

 

@Stalker: Qué? You don't object to Ubisoft? As a PC gamer yourself, you should know that Ubisoft are about as anti-PC gaming as it can get...

PC version of Last Light pulled from Gamestop Impulse

 

Stalker 2 has been postponed indefinetly, and GSC are no more. well, they still exist, but they are very much dead.

 

Well most of the team is making Survivium.

 

I know. I meant 'dead' as in developing Stalker 2, since Sergey Grigrovich, for some unknown reason, has decided to stop making Stalker games, and is not selling the IP, so no-one can develop them without his permision, and he's not interested.

BitComposer has acquiered the IP for 'Roadside Picnic', and theoretically could develop a game based on the novel, but not on the Stalker game's Universe.

 

... Sh*t.. I haven't preordered yet, and with all this crap going on, I think I'll leave it till the last minute.

Well allow me to open your eyes: Ubisoft always delay their PC releases, they like to blame piracy for it and when the PC versions do see the light of day, they're stuffed with both unforgivable game-crippling bugs & glitches and anti-gamer DRM. In short, they're a bunch of cunts. Even if they do try to "listen to consumer feedback".

 

And dont forget always online drm. Thus disallowing of all mods. Plus not allowing multiplayer mods either.

 

Hmm. All I can say is don't like it, don't buy it. No use complaning about it. It's their company. If you don't like the way they do business, don't fucking buy their games. Thats how I see it. It isn't fair, but the world isn't a fair place. As a console gamer, I still prefer Ubisoft to buy Metro Last Light than any other company. But thats just my opinion.

I never said I don't care about PC gamers. I said I don't care for your complaining. All complaining accomplishes is making people look annoying and bitchy (pardon my French). So if I see someone complaining, I am going to ask them to stop or am I going to try and show them something that they might appreciate, such as "Ubisoft made Far Cry. they can't be that bad". Just because you are upset with someone/thing doesn't mean we need to hear it. Trying to force your views down other people's throats is selfish and arrogant. Hence why I ask people to stop or again, try to show them the quote on quote "bright side". And before someone goes off and says this is the internet, we can say what we want. Yes you can, but the right that gives you the ability to complain is the same right that gives me the ability to ask you to stop. So all is even.

 

Im not saying that your wrong. But what im saying is that we werent complaining we were just stating we didnt want ubi to buy ll. And then you asked why so we told you why.

Also crytek made the far cry series ubi bought the ip after farcry 1.

These are legitimate complaints, lad. Gaming can do without these criminally intrusive DRM nuisances and to prove it: GoodOldGames.com is a highly successful DRM-free digital distribution service, we are overjoyed it exists and will gladly spend our hard-earned moolah on the software it has to offer. There's no reason not to fight for a DRM-free future for gaming.

 

One question. If these are legitament complaints then why the fuck are you posting them here well no body important will see them? Huh? Stop pretending like you are trying to make a difference. You and I both know that if you were really trying to accomplish something, that you would do it properly. You'd write a letter. You'd join forums of said companies to ask questions. You'd call the support lines. You'd mail them your ideas. But you don't. Instead you come on here everyday and complain about god knows what is pissing you off in the gaming community. This is not your venting corner. The fact that you treat the forum like that has me a little bit annoyed. If you think what they are doing so wrong, apply yourself to out do them. If you can't do that, then I ask you kindly to quit bitching (again, pardon my french) about it and to get off your high horse. You are not the Messiah of the offended gamers.
