Yes, Battlefield is a cod clone. That is why the first Battlefield game came in 2002 and the first Call of Duty game came out in 2003, because it is a clone. You know what I hate? People who talk about shit they don't know. That really gets me ticked, I mean seriously. If you are going to try and rebuttal somebody, at least have your facts right. In no way possible is Battlefield a clone of Call of Duty. Battlefield has vehicles, way larger maps, bullet drop, and squad demanded gameplay. Call of Duty has none of these, except bullet drop which was introduced (barely) in MW3. Need for Speed doesn't need a plot, it's a racing game. The story is you are challenged to this many laps on this map with this much time. You are suppose to be racing against a clock, I don't see how that point about plot need is even valid. I am going to bet you haven't played the Sims, because if you did you'd know there is only 3 mains games and those are The Sims, The Sims 2, and The Sims 3. But yes, there are a lot of expansions, spin offs, and platform exclusive versions. Of course most of these are going to be small, they are made for the Nintendo DS and other hand held devices, how large do you think they will be?

 

I was going to say Ubisoft but then got distracted. Some games and franchises Ubisoft make are quite good. For example Assassin's Creed 3 it had a few hit and misses but also some strong points aswell. Far Cry 3 spectacular game.

 

EA is your Generic Publisher, as like with Record Companys, sure you do get a good game in the end, but they do push games though before their finished, and they do milk games to death

 

Umm.. Clearly you didn't read your own comment. This made no indication you were a Battlefield series fan at all. I don't see what you are talking about. All you said in this is that Battlefield 3 is a cod clone, you did not say you enjoyed it or that you have played the other games. I am not a mind reader. I cannot think of you and instantly know that you are a Battlefield fan. You didn't even give so much as a hint that you are one, so how was I suppose to know. I can only assume by your comment that you dislike the Battlefield series, as you are pointing out "flaws" of its most recent game. Also, EA isn't the only one to do premium and online passes. THQ, the company which are you bitching about how it may get taken over by EA, does online passes as well as, along with Ubisoft and Activision. All games that need online passes come with online passes, that is if you buy a new copy. If you buy a pre-owned copy, you are most likely buying it for half off its normal price, so I don't see how that is bad. You would have paid 60 bucks for a new copy, bur you paid about 30 for a pre-owned copy and then 15 for the online pass. You have bought the full game for 45 bucks, still less than the 60 is would have cost you if you bought it brand new. Epic Games, creatores of Gears of War, also did a season pass and Call of Duty did Elite, both are basically the same as Premium. Battlefield 3 needed Premium, it was a money saver. The guys at DICE were nice enough to make 5 DLCs, Premium is a deal in which you get these DLCs two weeks earlier and for one payment of fifty dollars, which you pay up front. You would have paid a total of seventy-five bucks if you buy all of the DLCs separtaly. Instead, with Premium, you get them all two weeks early for twenty five bucks less than the total price of all 5 DLCs. I don't see how that's a milking thing, they are actually losing twenty five bucks every time someone buys premium.

 

You didn't call yourself a veteran. You said "BF3 is hated by most veterans for practically being a cod clone." You did not call yourself a veteran, you simply stated that "veterans" hate the game. A Battlefield veteran also wouldn't compare Battlefield to Call of Duty. As a player of the Battlefield series since 1942, the first Battlefield game and the first video game I've ever played, I consider myself a veteran and I do not hate the game. Neither do all my friends who are also veterans and a large portion of the gaming community. Battlefield was praised in many online reviews and gaming magazines as being better than Call of Duty. So I believe you are wrong, Battlefield veterans do not think of Battlefield as a cod clone. You would know that if you were one. Also, how are the DLCs made with less effort?

 

You realize all of the DLCs were already made before they announced BF4, right? Half of the DLCs were made for BF3 even came out, why do you think there are things such as leaks and hacked screen shots?

 

That's also three different series I couldn't give a rat's arse about. And I'd have to double check but I'm pretty sure extortion passes and on-disc ULC come for both the Battlefield & NfS series... That's trademark EA buttfuckery right there.

 

Still, you asked for a few games. I named a few series, whether you give a rat's arse about them or not, they are series that do not completely screw you over.

I never said it was. But I am saying that EA pretty much pioneered this anti-gamer rubbish.

 

I don't really mind this, and I had already given up on THQ. As long as I get my Last Light I'm fine
