I love mods that will make the vanilla experience even better but no over the top mods. I like having a little bit of economy and factions in a server. I like keeping it simple and only simple mods that will further increase the interactions between the players. that's why i love the economy mods.

Lately I've been playing mostly with mods. I used to prefer vanilla.

I liked the mods but they we're a risky download from a lot of places. I got more than one virus that way. After the second I switched back to Vanilla. It's just easier than gambling your computer or Minecraft launcher every time you download.

Modded all the way. Vanilla Minecraft makes my eyes water. It looks like someone literally vomited on the screen. I get what people on youtube use it because it is the one thing that does not cause lag when you are recording, but I would chance it to avoid being known as the guy who didn't upload a video without having mods or texture packs or anything to make the game look pretty.

I play with Mods. I don't think I have ever played vanilla minecraft actually. My husband who got me into minecraft had already put mods in when he showed it to me. I think it would get boring pretty fast without them though.

I prefer modded Minecraft. Vanilla Minecraft gets boring after too much playing, there just gets to a point where you don't really have anything more to do, then you have to add mods or it really gets boring. I used to play Vanilla, but then I started modded Minecraft, which gave me more gameplay, then eventually I even got bored of that and just stopped.

I like playing modded Minecraft because it makes the game more fun! Also vanilla looks boring to me because everything is so standard. I like playing Pixelmon mod, which is like Pokèmon but with Minecraft!

The only mods I'll touch at the moment are texture packs. I thought the Skyrim texture pack was awesome. I generally only mess around with mods or cheats once I'm completely done with the game and I know it'll be my last time playing.

I'd say it's fair to assume that that day is a far ways off from now. I like watching videos and reading about mods though, just to see what all is out there.

I like both. Vanilla is far simpler and easier to understand than most mods, and there are more servers compatible with vanilla Minecraft than modded clients. However, mods such as Industrialcraft expand the possibilities in the game; they allow you to achieve a lot more. I often play with the Shader mod which causes everything to look beautiful, and Optifine, which boosts the framerate and lets me zoom in on things.

Vanilla is good for newcomers but there is such an extensive library of mods that vastly improve the gameplay so for someone who already knows the game fairly well it would be a waste not to download a few mods and improve your experience.

I guess I'm in the minority.... I adore Vanilla! I tried to venture into texture packs once or twice, and found myself missing the original! Granted, I don't play for hours on end every day, so maybe the appeal just hasn't worn off like it might have for others. I still haven't even come across one of those "new" ice crystal biomes...

I'm not really good at putting mods in and I get confused with it. Crashed my client every time I tried but yeah I would personally like to play vanilla Minecraft instead just save me time with modding but I can't play anymore cause my laptop can't run it and I need to purchase a new laptop. Maybe in the future I'll try it again someday.

Modded. The Yogscast Mod pack is one of the first modpacks I ever used and to this day it's my favorite.

Why would someone what to play vanilla Minecrsaft when you have tons of amazing mods begging to be tried? I prefer to mod the hell out of this game.

Modded all the way. Without mods I'd probably play minecraft for a few weeks then stop playing it cause it would be repetitive. But with mods I could easily play the game for months. Mods allow you to feel like your playing a whole new game with all the new features and items they add. This is good for me as I hate playing a game after I have done everything in the game there is to do. It also makes life a lot easier as they are mods out there that help with simple things such as having a minimap.

Vanilla. I feel like vanilla is the hardest, since you have nothing at all to help you out with the game. I love a challenge in a video game, so if there's nothing at all to help me with, I'll probably play the game like that.
