    True, that's very true. But after completing the game so many times and eventually finding it boring, it's be pretty neat to play it with a friend, preferrably one that hasn't even played it before. Right at this very moment, there's a friend of mine in steam playing it for the first time and I have to help him through chat at parts he doesn't understand or can't find the way. I'm really wishing right now that I could be playig Co-op with him instead.

    Another open-world, post-apocalypse game? Hell yes.

    This does pose a problem for games that are heavy on immersion and story. Linearity allows developers to funnel players through interesting points in a story. Open-world games become a lot more challenging to develop, particularly in AI behavior, scripting, and dialogue outside the main storyline, to name a few.

    Now I'm imagining the STALKER series with less bugs.

    yep but some ways to keep the feel would be to

    players are not marked with ids

    friendly fire is on

    proximity chat only (unless they use skype or whatever)
