Anyone hate how people hate 2033 for not having enough action. I hope deep silver doesn't fall into those rabid claims.

Now I'm focusing on Thief Gold, developed by Looking Glass Studios in 1998. It was the first game to feature a First Person Stealth gameplay.
You play as Garret, a thief, and your objective is based on the mission you're playing, ranging from stealing a scepter from a mansion to recovering artifacts from haunted tombs. Garret has a series of weapons at his disposal, like the sword, the blackjack and your bow. The bow is your main weapon, as it can shoot different kind of arrows, like the regular arrow, to damage enemies; the water arrow, to douse torches, and clean blood stains; the moss arrow, to create a carpet where you can walk silently; the rope arrow, that creates a rope for you to climb; among others.
Thief also introduced light and sound as gameplay elements, for example, walking on wood makes less noise than walking on metal, crouching makes less noise than walking or running etc.
Another cool thing about the game is your fragility, you are a professional thief, not a swordsman, so you die very easily if a guard finds you, making the use of stealth even more important.
And I have to say, the game is HARD, all the levels have multiple ways to be completed, making it difficult to tell if you are going forward or backward, and things only got worse with your map, that is not very detailed, and instead of showing your location, it highlights the whole chamber in which you are (some chambers are quite big)... But I have to say, one of the best things about the game is trying to locate yourself using that map

    ~Text wall to the rescue~

Going through Cryostasis again. Only this time I got my hands on the Russian voice-overs, I also connected my Astro A40's to my rig and I'm trying out two Xpadder profiles I made myself to see which one feels more natural. One thing is certain: it feels like a brand new experience, I love this game.

I'm reborrowing Fallout new vegas and I've got to say I'm still disappointed. The graphics are pretty much the same as Fallout 3, the story isn't as good as Fallout 3, the iron sights feel clunky. Overall the game isn't bad but it isn't Bethesda quality. It could have been so much better.

New Vegas is more RPG than Fallout 3 can ever be.And it's more Fallout game than Fallout 3 since it has been developed by most of the people that made the original game.
The problems most people have with this game are due to engine limitations rather than execution.Fallout 3 is still a buggy mess to this day and so is New Vegas despite being developed by different people.
Don't get me wrong.I was extremelly dissapointed with the game when i first played it,but after awhile and if you're willing to look past some technical issues you'll see it's much much better game than Fallout 3.

Just beat Dead Space 2... and holy ballsack is it good. I like how the ending relates to the first one in a way - metaphorically. The seeker rifle was my baby; after upgrading it, it could take down necromorphs in only 1-2 shots... beast!

Absolutely great game, great atmosphere, music, color palate, characters, everything. Hats off to them, and lets hope Dead Space 3 doesn't ruin the series.

I've been wanting to get back into Fallout: New Vegas for a while. I want to create a new character, and be smart about it this time.

I'm playing Aliens Versus Predator 2 (2001) on PC now. Confession time: I've never played this game before. It's bloody brilliant; a marine campaign done right. Can't wait to tackle the other campaigns!

Told you it was amazing. :p Thestalker, are you a fellow admirer of this masterpiece too?
Not playing on "Classic"? SHAME ON YOU! TO THE COR...

Nah, I'm only kidding. Although I personally love the classic game mode (no unlocks there and it's the most realistic - thus the most thrilling for me), I can appreciate the fact that others enjoy the other modes more. "Realism" is pretty good stuff, but "Action" is an abomination in my eyes. :p

Perhaps I should play a little more "Classic", after all I do very much enjoy using pistols and especially the Nagant.

Edit: I also enjoy playing "World of tanks". It got great arcade gameplay and amazing tank physics. Plus it's free to play!

Classic really is beast - I love it completely. I'm glad they patched it into the game in the GOTY update. Without it, it would never feel 100% real RO. There was always that 10-15% authenticity missing before that, though I gotta say that "Realism" was also a good alternative before "Classic" was patched in.

I've heard of World of Tanks and it looks interesting. I need to try it someday (just like other apparently great F2P games which I haven't yet played, like Planetside 2 or Blacklight: Retribution).

you really should check out World of tanks, especially if youre into tanks as i am. Tey take all the factors of real life and put them into the game, things like; armor thickness, armor angle, gun penetration, what angle the shell strikes the tank, weak spots, crew and crew skills, gun depression, critical hits on modules like engine or tracks.

and thats just naming a few...
