I've tried replaying Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but like you said, it's hard to stand the bugs. I recommend that you play the first two for sure if you haven't already; I'm not to sure about Tactics since I haven't played it. For Fallout 2 I recommend that you download the restoration project here; http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56087
and to see all of the new content added go here ( You can download the mod on eaither page.)

I'm currently playing Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 after I picked it up for a mere 18 usd.
It's obvious that the story is made purely as an excuse to set up the sniper-massacre situations. I do however like that you have a realistic amount of health. If you get shot twice you'lll usually be dead.

I got Red Orchestra GOTY edition from the humble bundle and I finally got to play it. I always wanted to but I never really got the chance.

My brother was able to get WarZ for free (Idk why he would even try to get it even for free) and he saw for himself (along with my cousin) on how bad of a game it is. He got so pissed when a zombie hit him from 15 feet away. His words "How the fuck does a full release game have something like this! A FUCKING ALPHA DOESN'T DO THIS!"

Yea my bad it's RO2 GOTY. It's better than I thought it was going to be and for it being an indie game (At least I think it's indie didn't check who published it) it's better than a lot of AAA titles. I think it's more hardcore than ARMA. At least in RO2 you see someone...

opflash 1 still beats both playing the WH40000 mod as a space marine while fighting nazis with dinosaur artillary support while covering fire is layed down by the 1800 era confederate army is better than any other game period

You seem to be a fellow stealth junkie (I remember you loved playing M2033 stealthily as well as opposed to shoot and run). If so, I highly recommend the Thief series. I've never completed the games myself (my brother owns them though so I've seen plenty), but Thief II is quite possibly the best stealth game and possibly one of the best PC games ever made. Obviously though, they're quite old (especially the first two).
It's really hard to stick with the first two titles in the series. One of the reasons why I never completed them is the outdated gameplay. I wish I was older when they came out, so I would have picked them up and played through them back then. The slow turn-based combat is alright at first.

However, once you have the best gear in FO2 (for example), each fight has a predictable outcome - which is me owning almost everything - and fights get really long and tedious at later stages in the game, with tens of enemies on the screen. No challenge + unnecessarily long battles are boring when you know the outcome of each encounter and don't even have to try. Even though I'm a fan of turn-based strategy games, Fallout 1 and 2's gameplay was simply too boring for me further in the game... it's a real shame too, since I was really digging Fallout 2's story and got really far in it.
Correct me if I'm wrong (as I haven't played any of the Ghost Warrior titles yet), but the impression I've been getting is that those two games are just Polish game devs wanking over the US. Obviously, we have good titles like Call of Juarez and Dead Island (even amazing games like The Witcher) made in Poland, but the creations of City Interactive always seemed pretty dull and uninspired to me, glorifying the USA's military and spanking 'dem evull terrorists'.

Well, you are probably correct. However I don't always take the popular opinion that every game that has americans shooting terrorists is just "hurr durr 'Murica fuck yeah". This game isn't very intelligent, I give you that, but the gameplay is ok. I'd give it a 3/5. Okay maybe 5/10.

Thief one > all other stealth games. Reboot will suck though :( (quote from the devs) "we're not making this for thief fans, we're making it for everyone"

i think i read somewhere it's locked at 30FPS on PS4 and somthing-box also the company might do what from software is doing to dark souls 2 making it have more direction but just as fun,

i have only played thief 3 and did not like it much but thats just me i kinda prefer stealth games where if i get seen (constantly) i like being able to go all rambo on them like what Far cry 2 and the MGS series does to a lesser extent

maybe the idea of 'making it for everyone' could turn out to be bad but thats what happend with silent hill 2 and look how great that turned out (if you are still somehow reading this dead space 3 is alright and i like COD; flamewars ahoy oh and resi 6 is underatted)

I was luckily around 10-12 years old when I first picked up Fallout 1 & 2. Got them in a bundle for 7$ at the local gaming store (EB Games baby!) I fell in love with those games - played them over and over. The random encounters were amazing, and the soundtrack did wonders for the games. I liked the travel screens for some reason; where you could see the immense amount of time it took to travel between towns. I always felt that it was the perfect way to portray how dangerous it was to traverse the wastes... Oh well, maybe I'll reinstall them. I wish someone would make a port of those two games for the iPhone/iPad...

Have you heard of the new Thief game coming out? I'm intrigued to hear your thoughts, both Bamul and VanillaToshi... :)

Aye, I like being stealthy, you always have the upper hand. I actually owned both of the Thief games at one point then I gave them away to a friend because we didn't have a computer we could play them on. My dad doesn't let me play games on his because he's on it all the time and my brother only had a crappy notebook/netbook thing. About a week later my brother gets a beastly Laptop (dunno what it's called but it's great) and now I am fully wounded about giving the games away, especially after the amount of praise they get as a stealth game.
