Still playing a lot of RO2. Feels more hardcore than ARMA. Isn't it also indie? I don't think Tripwire had any publisher. Either way it feels so much better than BF3 and I'm a huge BF3/BF fan.

I'm also playing a lot of perp which is like darkrp but on crack. It's so much more realistic.

 

Red Orchestra is amazing. So is Killing Floor. I'm playing that and Mount and Blade right now.

 

Arma is far more hardcore than ro2
But ro2 is just more I don't know fun type. Arma is "so real you could play it and know how to fight in the military"

Tbh, I haven't been following it that much. My brother loves Thief, so I get all the news about that from him. :lol: But from the trailer and the news I heard, I think it's shaping up nicely so far - even if there are some things to really worry about... I mean, the devs said they planned on giving Garrett black nails... that and the new voice actor makes me a bit concerned.

I always think of ArmA as a "military simulator" and Red Orchestra as an extremely realistic first-person shooter.

 

The Shack tactical ARMA 2 videos are proberly the most "millitary" style ones out there

 

I’m replaying S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl with the awesome mod “ Stalker Complete.” This mod completely changes the experience by introducing newly improved environments, sounds, etc. The only thing I don’t really like is having the option to sleep. That’s what was cool of SOC: not having the option to sleep and being forced to venture into the night alone made the games atmosphere a lot better. I will try to refuse the use of the sleeping bag as long possible and become lazy to only do my exploration and tasks in the daytime.

 

Having my day one fun with the new black ops 2 zombie map "Alcatraz" it's pretty fun and somewhat challenging at the higher levels. I've already done most of the stuff but some experimenting must be done...

Decided to play "No more room in Hell" today. It was pretty fun and ruthless but of course I had to run into at least one troll who kills everyone every chance and brands to two classic white trash phrases, "You mad bro?", "Are you a nigger?, cause I hate niggers!".

So, uh, I've been playing a lot of HL2RP on my friend's Garry's Mod server lately. He's been running it on his own PC (Which means that his PC will have to be on in order for the server to be open), doing a wasteland/outlands kind of HL2RP where there are mostly Rebels VS Antlions and Zombies.

But recently another old friend arrived. He made a new and better forum for us, and he even bought a server (Which means we now can play on the server at any time, unreliably on wether the owner's PC is on or not), and we decided to change to City-HL2RP, which is Citizens VS Combine and a few Rebels in the slums outside the city, in order to gain a higher playerbase.

The first few days, the server had the same ammount of players as before; just the same four or five oldies including myself. But a couple of days ago, we got a few extra players and increased to about eight players. Yesterday, though, the players just suddenly started flowing in and we had a breaking record of 22 players! It might not sound like much compared with MMORPGs, but remember, you cannot compare those two. Garry's Mod's HL2RP is very unpopular compared to all other kind of games. I've been actively playing HL2RP for two or three years with a few breaks, and we've never achieved more than 16 players or so on the servers I've been an important part of. This is great

Just finished another play through of M2033, this time using the suppressed B@stard through till the end. Now I'm lazily doing another play through of Fallout: New Vegas, doing Old World Blues at the moment. Really just passing time until May 14th

 

Lmao I was playing Battlefield 3 on my brothers account and as I read your post I put on an accent and said it, joking around and forgetting my mic was still on. It's safe to say there was a very angry black man on my team and I was laughing that much I couldn't even apologise to him :')

 

I completed the vanilla game only so my opinion about the mod is biased, but I have tried it after beating the game and in my opinion it ruins Stalker. The game seems much easier, less atmospheric and less unique with it.
