    I'm not liking Rage, i'm f*cking loving it! I really don't get all the bad press-it seems people were expecting the second coming of Jesus rather than a semi open-world post-apocalyptic shooter with some pretty interesting mechanics thrown in the mix (defibrilator/wingsticks/etc.)

    It was a fun game but I stopped mid playing to play other games. I find the game to be very similar to fallout. I enjoy the wing thingy.

    Rage was horrible.

    It didn't meet the expectations, it didn't match what was promised, it looked butchered and rushed, the plotline was ridiculous and the gameplay was lacking. I expected more from ID.

    Props for the designs though.

    Scared me there for a moments. Ya, that's how I felt about it as well. Due to all the bad reviews it received, I was a little hesitant to buy it. The only downside Rage had was the 22Gb it took up in my hard drive.

    What do you think about the upcomming Wolfenstien? I'm excited because it looks awesome, but disappointed that Bethesda has their finger in it instead of id.

    Plot line was not ridiculous and gameplay was good. Game play could have been a lil better, but there are way way worse gameplay games out there. AND Rage was fixed from all the bugs and crap that was caused by crappy port overs by dump programmers. Thankfully John Carmack was there to clean up the mess, and promised that id will never port over from console to PC, again.

    IMO Rage was really bad. Never played to the end, because the Gameplay was bad and annyoing for me.

    Whose expectations? And what exactly id promised and didn't deliver? Because Rage at it's core is a pure shooter and it's main task is to make you feel badass while shooting muties/things. Every id game is like that- Quake,Doom,Wolfenstein. But nooo,somebody saw the words WASTELAND and BETHESDA on the cover of the game and they thought THIS MUST BE LIKE FALLOUT! Then felt dissapointed and cheated because it's not open world rpg like Fallout. id never promised that. They promised semi open world shooter with racing and light rpg elements. And that is exactly what we got.
    I agree that the game was a bit of a mess at first,but every single bug is fixed now. And once you unlock the 8 or 16 mpix textures the visuals are simply amazing.

    Gameplay was solid,enemy AI was pretty damn good, level design was great.
    Engineering was pretty damn good too. Not to forget Rod Abernethy's amazing score.

    Plot was actually really good,despite the abrupt ending and even though it was anticlimactic it was logical-the entire game was you and the resistance looking for a way to "wake" the other Arc survivors.And that is exactly what happens.

    Care to elaborate. What part of the gameplay you found annoying? The shooting mechanics? The engineering mechanics? Racing perhaps?

    Aiming in all stalker games depends on your weapons and if it's modded/ugraded. It's not like "call of duty's realistic weapon behaviour" and it takes quite some time to get used to buller drop,penetration,recoil,spread and so on. It's not just point and shoot and hit what you aim at.

    And there is fast travel...sort of. There are some random stalkers that can take you to various places on the current map for a small fee.

    i add garry mod and csgo rig and roll 2 of the 3 came from summer sale not as bad as i thouht it would be for garry mod and csgo kind of fun more than battelfield bad company 2 rig and rolll fucking hard but i tbone police car too many time fucking cheaters heh

    Just getting into STALKER this week. I thought after 300+ hours of Battlefield 2 gameplay I would have been used to inaccurate rubber bullet weapons by now but NOPE STALKER takes the cake.

    Nothing like unloading a full clip with an assault rifle W/.36mm rounds into a duty soldier 10 meters away and having him still shooting you while you reload...

    Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Great game!

    Also is anyone in here looking forward to Survarium? I have a feeling it will be the only multiplayer game I'll be playing regularly.
