It would be really horrible of Rockstar to punish the victims that way, so let's hope the punished ones actually are, and will stay, the actual cheaters.
I've probably gotten further than you in the heists, but the ones I've done so far were all really awesome, so I'd love to do them all again, especially with you guys. Finally, the chance to play an online game with someone from the forum :D

If I'd be the fourth guy, who's the third?

:embarassed:

Bamul's Polish-speaking brother.

We'd make a great dysfunctional team.

Well, if Skaara has Skype and if my brother would find his password and install it, we could probably make it a bit more functional.

EDIT: On second thought, if we'd get the same amount of bugs and glitches that we did last time then it would probably look similar. :eek:hwell: That's another thing that can be added as a negative side of the experience, but when it works it is worth the little issues. The worst parts I remember where when my bro was put into a random mission that he didn't ask for and it would not let him do anything else until he completed it, plus there were also some strange things happening with the invite system. Of course, on top of that my PC restarted itself at one point (at least now I know it's either the power cable or the socket in the PSU and nothing more serious) and my brother's game froze at one point. It was far from smooth, but the gameplay and teamwork was still fun.

On a different note, my bullet count right now is at 1917... 1881, 1905, 1917 and 1944 are dates I can't get out of my head, so whenever I see those numbers - be it on a digital clock or wherever - that's always the first thing that comes to mind. :p

Currently, the main game I'm playing is League of Legends. I spend about 3 hours a day playing rank — every now and then I do play other game modes. The other game I'm currently playing is Digimon World 3. I just started replaying it several days ago. :D

Other than the game I play the most (League of Legends,) I play several android games like Candy Crush, Clash of Clans, and Thunderstrike. I'm currently waiting for a certain MMORPG that will probably be released in the next few months. :D

I've only gotten as far as finishing the Humane Lab Raid. All of my High School buddies are on weird schedules, and PUG's are remarkably atrocious in this game.

Also, the issues did seem to be isolated to your brother, with him appearing offline every once in a while and all. I'm sure some large degree of fault lies with Rockstar since I'm assuming he doesn't have these same issues with other games, but it does at least seem to be pretty reliable for most people.

Also looked into the stuttering issue a bit more. Seems like there's a large memory leak issue with the game, where RAM usage increases quite a bit over time, with most stuttering starting to happen the longer you play (even I can play normally with Very High textures for a bit, but the stutters get really bad when they do hit half an hour or so later). My RAM only ever gets up to about 80% full, but I read somewhere that apparently Windows starts to page stuff to the Hard Drive at that point, and apparently most people with issues are running 8 GB or so, while people with 16 commonly report no problems. Might borrow some extra RAM from a buddy and run some tests.

Yesterday me and my bro had some more problems, but this time with servers. At one point it wouldn't save the progress we made in GTA Online - this lasted probably around half an hour, after that it was back to normal for a bit. Then we did a mission, everything seemed to be working fine at all times. Just as we finished it, we got an in-game error message. We lost all money and rank points earned during the job and it was also impossible to deposit any cash for a while. Eventually the bank started working again, but we never got the money or XP from the mission we did.

Yesterday was very smooth, but today I had a ton of other issues in GTA Online. It's very hit and miss for me when it comes to stability of the online service (but not the engine, that works fine as I said earlier). It's a real shame because it can get in the way of having fun with the well-developed heists too.

Good thing is that eventually, as soon as we got it working, I managed to do some of the heist preparation with Skaara. It was nice to play a game with someone from the forum again. I think we could potentially start some group forum sessions if more people get the game (or if Rockstar pulls their finger out regarding Komo's case).

Sounds like a fun idea; though, I don't have GTA5 nor do I have many steam games that have multiplayer. I'll leave my Steam username bellow

ALMAGX

(Yep, I know, it's not the best username. That's also because it's not my account, otherwise I would change it; but all the games on there are my games.) I'd be cool if we could all play together sometime :).

Oh, and I once mentioned a new silent hill game called Silent Hills. It would have been the first SH with first person perspective, and I thought it looked absolutely terrifying, but it turns out that it got canceled.

My Steam Account is Ated1210, but my Steam Name is Mr. Clowes. Add whichever one you need to, I'm down to pull some heists.

It was good to finally play with someone from the forum for the first time :D
Yes, the online system isn't the best, but once you know how to work around the bugs, it works almost decently.

A couple quick examples are how I couldn't get any invite to Bamul's brother's game even though he sent me an invite. What I had to do was leave any kind of online session and go to Single Player Story mode, then I'd get the invite. There was also the situation where we were three players on a four-player server, yet the fourth person couldn't get in because the game kept telling him the server was full. What I did to fix it, was simply leaving the session so the playercount would go one down, let him join, and then I joined after him with no problem at all.

We had a lot of fun with teamwork and gameplay, and Bamul got to meet my.... lovely crazy friend from the old HL2-RP... (Not kidding, he's a whacko).

But anyway, we should manage to scramble ourselves once and play together, several at once. Should we wait for an opportunity when everyone's online or should we make an event at a specificly appropriate moment? Maybe we could even set up our own Rockstar Social Club Group for GTA V? We could name it "Metro Dwellers" or something :D

All of these are good ideas that I'd be up for.

17. Back in the day I was banned in Dark Souls 2 for editing my soul memory. It's a parameter used for online matchmaking, it represents an amount of local currency you have gained on this specific character and it never goes down. You can only connect to people within a certain range from your soul memory, depending on the matchmaking item you are using (Coop soapstones for jolly cooperation, dragon eye 1v1 duels, red soapstone 1v3 ganking and so on). If you lost some of it (By dying and then failing to reclaim it and dying again), tough shit, you will be forever handicapped in relation to those who didn't, until you farm millions on top of millions and matchmaking is turned off. Then you connect to anyone above that number without any limitations.

You could change your soul memory manually or use a third party program that just locks it in place to ensure you can always play in the same range. But FROM software eventually decided that this is not how the game should be played and "softbanned" people by letting them play only with other players who edited their soul memory. Basically you can only connect with cheaters.

They have recently released a RE-make of the game called Scholar of the first sin and I picked it up on a sale for maybe $5. It's basically a Prepare to die edition for Dark Souls 1. And it has an item that locks your soul memory in place. That is tricky to figure out, but easy as hell to get.

Question: The fuck they banned me for in the first place if they allow doing the same thing in their re-make?

Sure it takes a few more hours, about 10+ actually, but I assume it can be sped up by cutting corners and not going for that one ring in the pain in the ass area of the world that allows you to look like a regular living player while in phantom form for extra hipster points.

I can become a dragonbro, don a fluffy fur coat, light my head of fire for intimidation purposes, drop a sign that connects me five soul memory tiers up and five tiers down and wreck people all day long. Or join them and help them beat a boss. Without any concern for dropping out of a tier and having to move to a different place or start over.

Or cosplay any of the regular humanoid enemies and be a cheeki cunt.

And I don't get invaded in the process because pretty much nobody is stubborn enough to pull this shit off without cheating.

Fuck FROM software, their design decisions are some of the weirdest I've ever seen. They try to fix what's not broken, breaking a dozen more things in the process, then call it a feature.

It's a shame Overkill completely messed up the XP system in Payday 2 with the recent update. Four Stores done twice gives the same amount of XP as Shadow Raid, but in less than half the time? Shadow Raid was always in my opinion very unrewarding with its low experience gains (though a really cool heist once you figure it out with a good team), but this is just taking it too far. I guess they were trying to make it more varied, however now they've only further narrowed down the viable selection of time-worthy heists for players. :eek:hwell:
