I can kind of see why he'd think this, considering how absurdly long and comprehensive the latest patchnotes are, I counted 185 total fixes...

...which is why it's a shame that some major issues (like the god damn memory leak) apparently still broken, even though some (like the memory leak) are listed as actually being fixed.

Oh Rockstar, all that money and manpower and you still can't release a consistent experience for PC gamers? Maybe keeping RDR off computers was the right thing to do - it spared them the embarrassment. And all this sucks so much more because their games are really good. GTA V (mostly) works for me. I haven't done much in the singleplayer, but the multiplayer is amazing... only it's absolutely plagued with bugs and bad design choices that make it more difficult to team up and play missions together. I'll still play it after my exams and I want to go through the singleplayer, but it's a shame that it's such a bumpy ride and for some there's no bloody ride at all.

Re-playing Last Light again. Didn't think I'd ever touch either of the Metro games ever again after playing them to death, and then some. But it's been a while and I couldn't think of anything else to play and desperately needed to take my mind of some things, and, well, I was just in the mood for Metro. Loving it all over again.

I don't know if I'll ever come back to Inquisition, it was so disappointingly boring in many ways. It really makes me wish BioWare stuck with linear environments for their games. Dragon Age was never my favourite series, but it was still good and Mass Effect was brilliant without the need for any open world. CD Projekt have really put BioWare to shame this time with W3, which conversely I'm absolutely loving.

In the past few weeks I haven't been playing much, mostly due to going on a bunch of cycling trips, and when I did have some time for gaming I just hammered W3... that was up until a few days ago though, now I'm hooked into GTA Online again after another friend got the game. It's so utterly awesome when it works, but it can break very easily in various ways. One consistent issue I seem to be having is that damn stuttering or (every now and then) a nonsensical drop in FPS from 60 to 40. People playing on rigs with a GTX 970 have been getting similar problems and it's been some time since launch so Rockstar should finally get its shit together. Also, I want to play with Komo, Potarto and Skaara altogether someday, damn it! :p

I haven't played through a game in a long time. I've just been looking for some quick burst, of entertainment, by playing some classic FPS that deliver by sending hordes of of monsters for one to kill. Similarly, I've been playing Carrmageddon 2. It's a game inspired by the classic movie Death Race 2000 -oddly enough, the copy that I have was released in 2000, but the initial release date was in 98'. Hmmm. Anyway, the point of the game is to finish each race by either (a) cross all checkpoints and finish the track (b) Destroy all competing vehicles (c) Run over all the pedestrians on the map. I decide to go with choice (b) since it's the easiest. Oh, and there is a timer, at the top of the screen, that counts down however much time you have before the race is considered over. In order to gain more time, one is encouraged to run over as many pedestrians as possible, do crazy stunts, and crash into your opponents. The graphics are dated (and I actually like the graphics from the first game more), but I find it loads of fun.

I've never heard of it, but it looks awesome. I really dig the graphics and the 1st person perspective of the vehicle. I can't wait to try it. Thanks! :)

The game reminds me of Mad Max –in a way. Also, I love that the developers made it so that one can fire, a gun, out from the window of the car. That's quite advanced –and, in my eyes, it still is- for when the game was released. Heck, I don't know of any games that allow the player to do that –at least, not in first person mode anyway. There's probably a few out there, though. Out of curiosity, I decided to look up the release date of Interstate 76 and Grand Theft Auto 1, and they both came out the same year. Though, Interstate 76 came out seven months before GTA; so I'm guessing RockStar could have gotten some of their inspiration, for GTA, from I76.

Perhaps, but I doubt that they were particularly inspired by such games since the first two GTA parts looked like this. :p Btw, I can't remember whether it was cinematic or gameplay footage, but I think the upcoming Mad Max game may allow you to shoot from the car in first person. :)

Haha, yeah. They were still great games though. I remember playing through the second one at a younger age. And I do hope Mad Max has the first-person shooting ability. Even if it doesn't, though, I'm anticipating being able to drive in first person and see the vehicle's dashboard.

I tried out the R6 Siege and I bloody love it, but first I would like to share some history. I have almost grown up on the series. The Rouge Spear being my favourite in the series. I was young as hell, but I played a lot with it. I also played awful lot the S.W.A.T. series, the SOCOM US Navy SEALs series (mostly the first and the second) on PS2. Needless to say, I have a history with the tactical shooters.
At first, I didn't really cared about the Siege. It was looked cool, but just a multi player shooter, nothing else, I thought. Then I got my beta inv and tried it out. The PVP is tense, and hard, and even more fun, but I generally not a good PVP player. I had my moments, but it is harder than the other shooters out there. Thooese 2 days were not enought to actually get used to it, and learn it. The Terrorist Hunt on the other hand is damn addictive, I fell in love with it.
I would like mention the SP, actually the lack of SP camping. To be honest I don't even have an idea, which direction should they take. I don't think that the Vegas style would work for this kind of game, (it didn't worked for GR: Future Soldier, it was okay, but nothing else) the classic style on the other hand would not be as interesting for newcomers.

Tbh, I don't think I've ever played a single Rainbow Six game (I did play some Splinter Cell though), but my brother played a bit of SOCOM and it looked pretty cool back in the day. Anyway, glad to hear Siege is good.

Halo 3/4, I do a bunch of "trickjumping" in those game. Metro also has some nice jumps.
There are pressure launches in Metro as well. I've been wanting to hop on and see if when the Dark Ones "run" away if they can launch me if I move in front of them. 2033, when they run, they aren't solid models. I bet Last Lights models are solid. It'd be crazy fun.
