I think the future of the game is very bright! Microsoft will only bring the game to heights we have not seen before.

Better graphics, more creatures, possibly more tools and options.

I'd like to see some better optimization. Would be nice if the game rendering and chunk loading didn't make the game feel so choppy. Maybe it's just my PC, but I'm not too sure. I know 1.8 was meant to improve performance. I did find some improvements, but after a while it started to feel all laggy again.

Future of Minecraft? Hmmm... I'm actually thinking about a Minecraft in a virtual reality setting. Also minecraft in a real-world setting.

I really can't say anything about the future of Minecraft. I think many people will this game again because there will be a Story mode of it by Telltale games and Minecraft movie.

I don't know. I see more and more features making the game more complex happening. Maybe a new graphics engine entirely at some point. I think it could actually go more blocky instead of the other direction.

Well, the future of Minecraft is mainly in its support of mod and mod creation. The base game will add more and more features, allowing for more complexity. However, most of the new content will come from modding. I think there will be optimization done as well, as the original Java client can have some memory and performance issues.

I would love more mobs to be added. I also would like emeralds to be useful for once. I also agree about making the ocean a little useful.

They've already started working on Minecraft for the HoloLens where you can create things right on your kitchen table, and blow them all up, right there. I also think virtual reality Minecraft would be really fun and extensive. The only thing is, Minecraft's simplistic design is really what makes the game, the game. If there was more extensive and strenuous activity, it would lose it's feel and become complete fan-service. I believe that, with mods updating constantly, Mojang really has no need to alter the game that much.

To be fair, they should really leave it alone.

Minecraft isn't something that needs to change. It's fine for what it is. The moment you start trying to fix things that aren't broken is when you have problems.

A lot more materials. I like building things and I hope they're going to add more than they've did already.
