What do you think Microsoft will do with Minecraft?

    Yeah I also love to see Minecraft get some graphical upgrades. I think the game would benefit more if it jumps off Java. I think what MS will do is just get the game out and make it better.

    I don't think they will actually, I mean it's a pretty big game. Screwing this one up is like making Halo available for the PS.

    Microsoft obviously want by buying up Mojang to reach a new and younger customer group for the products. If it is a bad thing or not is impossible to predict. I guess it would have been been its fate sooner or later anyway.

    I think that Minecraft will be ruined because, they will probably make future updates to be paid and make it free2play with pay2win features.

    Microsoft isn't going to do anything other than continue to keep Minecraft on its current course. They won't stop developing the game for PS4, and they won't start introducing radical changes. They want to stay the current course and profit off Minecraft. Alienating too many users is only going to hurt their bottom line.

    Well it's more the preformance issues with Java as opposed to updating. Updating, in the big scheme of things won't help performance. Java is a huge memory guzzler and I have a feeling the game is getting a bit too big for it, especially on laptops. It's a nightmare to play MC on a laptop, even with the most performance saving boxes ticked.

    I think they will make it better, I hope. And also I don't really care about Microsoft buying Mojang, I honestly want to play the game.

    Minecraft prompeted me to update Java to be able to improve it's performance which I think is understandable but these days it's your hardware drivers that needs to be updated in order to make the game perform better. Yeah Java sucks when it comes to games.

    Right on. But look what they did with the Xbox One. The 360 was pretty good and going good until they had to screw it up with the Xbox One.

    Ha ha don't forget how they screwed up windows with windows 8, ME, etc.

    Hell windows 9 is looking pretty awful too.

    I think it's a different thing with the Xbox One. It's a follow up and since Minecraft is.. oh wait. They might end up screwing Minecraft 2 after all. LOL

    Oh yeah I never noticed that too actually. Windows 7 is perfect then they mess up Windows 8. The Xbox 360 was perfect and they screw it up with the Xbox One. And now they have Minecraft, they might screw up Minecraft 2!
