What is happening with Russia and Ukraine now?

That....that just supports my statement....

2. OSCE got full access to the crash site two days ago. The SMM was initially given only partial access to the Malaysia Airlines MH17 crash site. It was given full access on 20 July. Luhansk city was shelled.

Bodies were handed over to the Dutch and black boxes given to Malaysia airlines. The team of Dutch experts state they are 'impressed' by the work of the local rescue team. It's said that the bodies are being kept under the right conditions. Putin said that RF radars did not detect any missile launches by the rebels and encouraged the USA to go ahead and show the proof they claim to have.

That's funny, just yesterday the media was telling everyone that the rebels were stealing the bodies and putting them on a train to nowhere while sending black boxes to Moscow. But today the rebels are cooperating and "evidence" turned out to be fake, again.

EDIT №1: Netherlands opens war crimes investigation into airliner downing, but not into civilian deaths during UA army attacks. Nice.

EDIT №2: Malaysia Air avoids Ukraine and diverts flights over Syria instead.

Jokes aside it is a big country, I suppose they can find a safe route above it.

Hey Komodo, can you translate this? Скоро над Руиной будет сбит лайнер битком набитый невинными евро-туристами. Це явится поводом для официального приглашения НАТО. Так вижу.

4. "Soon an airliner choke-full of innocent euro-tourists will be shot down over Ruina. That will be a formal invitation for an official NATO intervention. That's how I see it."

I doubt that russian rebels are without civilian casualities, right?

8. Those weren't downplayed or ignored. On the contrary, those were blown out of proportion on every occasion, with blatant fakes, unverified social media accounts or, even better, "just a hunch" as proof.

Ok, I didn't know that. I waited for a post like that for an answer, but I didn't know that western media is making them bigger as the UA Civi casualties. So consider my comment as invalid. Sorry for that.
Still could I have a source for atleast one of these claims that russian rebles are the evil civilian killers? That would be nice. :)

Not that I didn't trust you but I still like a link.

The explosion in Luhansk which resulted in 5 civilian deaths was not a Su-25 airstrike. It was a result of a misfired Russian MANPADS "Strela-2". A separatist took an incorrect aiming angle when firing the "Strela-2" and caused the explosion in the Luhansk ODA.

The Communist Party of Ukraine has been banned and dissolved from parliament... I'm personally not a fan of that party anyway, as it has about as much to do with communism as the USSR did (meaning nothing at all except for the terminology it used). However, this isn't good news at all. Wasn't Ukraine supposed to reduce its corruption and become a more democratic country? Even Poland still has its legal "communist" party, who are basically a bunch of old Stalinist farts.

14. Regardless of what I'd like to think, they have only banned one specific party that happened to be communist, not communist parties in general.

I'm fairly sure it became obvious that they will never be democratic when they answered to protests and demands of federalization by sending in the army.

Meanwhile UA army is advancing on the MH-17 crash site. The Dutch have cancelled their investigation of the site as a result. Why would they confiscate the evidence that supposedly incriminates Russia and hinder the investigation that is supposed to prove that Russia is to blame?

They're communist only in name and the reason why this one was banned is because it was much more popular in Eastern Ukraine than the rest of the country (their East Slavic nationalism and other policies lead to accusations of supporting the separatists, etc.). I can't say I know much about the circumstances under which it was banned though.

Actually, that's what usually happens as far as I'm aware. When a group of people take up arms and say they want to create a new nation (with help from a rival state), then the army is sent in. I'm not moralizing or anything, I'm just saying this is what most governments do when their authority is threatened. It's a normal feature of democratic countries - democracy is supposed to be limited to the government offices. If anyone says that "capitalism is a system where anyone can make their way to the top" or some other crap, then they're bulshitting.

I don't know, but both sides have been acting suspiciously and that just makes everything worse.

Wait... what?

16. No.

It started as anti-maidan protests in January which continued until early April when the local police joined the protesters and the government buildings were taken over:

Despite this they did not even want to join Russia, they wanted federalization.

But screw that, on the 14th of April during a United Nations Security Council hearing Yuri Sergeev blamed Russia for what was happening in the South-East and UA government decided to go ahead with the infamous Anti-Terrorist Operation despite the fact that everyone including Russia insisted on a peaceful resolution.

People started taking up arms when this shit started happening (NSFW):
