    1. Rebels told them over the radio that they will let them go if they leave without weapons.
    2. Commander of the battalion being encircled posted on facebook that Poroshenko assured him that they will be allowed to leave WITH weapons: https://www.facebook.com/dostali.hvatit/posts/805399199494856
    3. Part of the troops did really surrender, leaving stuff behind.
    4. The other part tried to break out.

    The separatists have been giving these kinds of conditions to encircled UA soldiers since the ATO started. They have been pretty good at keeping their end of the bargain (Militia Releases Over 220 Ukrainian Soldiers to Kiev, The Surrender of the 72nd Brigade).
