What is happening with Russia and Ukraine now?

Heh, sometimes I wish I was born in US or Russia instead. At least you people from the world's superpowers are perceived as coming from a country that has real power, plus your homelands are perceived as "cool" so many foreigners want to be just like you. Poland, on the other hand, is perceived as a joke by everyone. In the West people think we're the same as Russians, so they're puzzled as to why Poland seems to hate Russia so much and why we are obedient little doggies to the US/EU/NATO. Russians tend to think we're trying too hard to be so Western when we will never be, so they see us as traitors of Slavic culture and shit like that. Anyway, the circus that goes on in Poland's government is enough to make us the laughing stock of the world. :p

  2. Current Polish government also added brown nosing the USA to that list by picking the United States side in the Ukrainian conflict (While, for example, Polish neighbour Czech Republic goes the other way) and throwing some rather questionable and clearly misinformed statements around. Like the foreign minister Grzegorz Schetyna, who either really doesn't know history, or intentionally pretends not to.

    Aye, exactly. :eek:hwell:

  4. A Polish general Waldemar Skrzypczak told GazetaPrawna.pl that he withdraws everything nice he has said about Ukraine since Ukraine clearly doesn't take Polish interests into consideration, especially after recognizing Ukrainian Insurgent Army that murdered 100,000 Poles during WW2 as heroes. He also says that he is ashamed of EU for their inaction and criticizes Russia for its actions in Crimea and Eastern Ukraine.

  5. Janusz Korwin-Mikke, a member of the European Parliament, said in an interview that Maidan snipers who shot and killed dozens during the coup in Ukraine in 2013 were not sent by Yanukovich or Putin, but were trained and prepared by Poland. He also takes "a blatant and propagandistic pro-russian position", saying that RF actions such as placing Iskander missiles on the borders were a reasonable response to NATO, EU and specifically Polish government's statements and actions against Russia, not because Russia is inherently evil.

He also said before that Poland must be neutral towards the Ukrainian conflict and he fears a Third World War that can be sparked by the current government in Kiev.

Well, look who bases his political campaign on the wave of disapproval over sanctions against Russia and by exposing the previous government. The Polish presidential elections are going to be held on the 10th of May this year.

I wouldn't put Korwin-Mikke in the spotlight. There are plenty of other much more interesting Polish political figures who have a similar stance towards Ukraine and Russia. ;)

  7. Oh no, I don't. At least not in relation to elections.

All I'm reporting is that he claims Poland is responsible for the murders during the coup in 2013 and that he is using it in his campaign for the presidential elections next month, insisting that Poland should be neutral as opposed to its current stance.

Korwin-Mikke makes many ridiculous statements of this sort and much, much worse. As you know, I generally despise him as a political figure and he is disgusting as a personality also. However, I have to say that most of the things he says about the Ukraine crisis and Poland/Russia relations in that interview you linked to are pretty accurate.

  9. Like I said before, this guy is one of the few whose statements don't match the other narrative. Nutjob or not, I'll agree with him if he can provide some actual proof.

  10. A director of the Political Analysis center of Ukraine, Yuriy Romanenko, says on his facebook that armed forces of Ukraine must target Russian press in Ukraine specifically and kill them indiscriminately.

Criminal code of Ukraine says that this kind of instigation (Public calls for murder of a specific nationality, race or religious group) is worth five years in prison. But of course nobody will bring him in.

Heard that U.S is training Ukraine troops can anyone confirm this?

  13. Yes. Operation Fearless Guardian.

300 US soldiers will be training members of the Ukrainian batallions for six months in Lwiw province. Brits are already there and Canada is going to send 200 of their people as well.

I assume they are going to make sergeants that later can train more soldiers on their own.

Damn it why should we get invovled again?I am all for the U.S protecting ittself but there is no threat to us from this...so why old grudges?

  15. Because Russia and China are trying to get rid of the USD in their trade. Because Russia and China got too friendly with the EU. Because Russia and China want to follow their own interests as opposed to being a vassal and these interests conflict with the interests of the US. Because Russia and China want to have control and the US doesn't want to share.

Russia and China have nukes and other weapons of mass destruction though, so open war with them is out of the question. It's easier to start "colour revolutions" near their borders or whithin the borders of their allies and then pretend it was the will of the people to kick out their governments, throw those countries into civil wars and send them back to stone age. And if they try to object, tell everyone they are literally Hitler.

Syria, Lybia, Egypt, Turkey, Belorussia, Venezuela, Brazil, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan and many more have faced various stages of this. Some have already burned to the ground, some are still on fire, some are only reporting suspicious activity. Even Russia and China have to deal with these every once in a while. Same scenario every time, even the leaflets on how to deal with riot police are the same. Left one is from Cairo, Egypt, right one is from Kiev, Ukraine:

Five billions USD of "aid" over the course of several years is all it took to ignite Ukraine and fuck up EU/RF relations for years to come. An actual war would have costed this much or more daily. On the other side of the continent Sino-Japanese relations are as tense as ever over land disputes as well.

Here is a video that was posted here earlier from the head of STRATFOR, a strategic intelligence agency. It's long winded, but the general idea is this: Russia + Germany can't be allowed to be partners, therefore civil war in Ukraine as a way to destabilize both:

  16. US soldiers teach UA soldiers how to use USSR weapons on the border with Poland. That guy's face when UA soldiers joke about taking him to the frontlines in Donbass after the exercise is priceless:

  17. An estimated several thousand miners came to Kiev and are rioting in front of the Poroshenko's administration and the United States embassy. They blame the government for being incapable of self-rule and they blame United States for starting a civil war:

  18. An addition to the last post. US instructors showing UA soldiers how to use Soviet firearms properly:

Ukraine has been making and using these weapons for half a century, they should know them from A to Z. Why do they need people from another continent to teach them? Don't they have their own instructors? Someone who served in the army for a while? Did they run away, defect or die? Or do they refuse to teach?

Poroshenko said before that the Ukrainian army is one of the best on the continent. This image should be used as an illustration for a "shameful display" in a vocabulary.

White men teaching indigenous people how to kill. What is it, 1960s?
