I saw a documentary about the hooligan culture in Eastern Europe. Thousand of people "heiling" at football games. The exact same freaking people whose grandparents died to protect the country from fasciscm.
This is absurd, and one of the reasons I really like Metro 2033 is because it points out exactly that. Humans don't learn from our mistakes. Maybe one generation, but certainly not three. Just look at our environment too. Yesterday, a recording of 400 CO2 molecules per 1mil molecules was taken in Hawaii. The last time the Earth had been through something like this was 5 million years ago. At this time, the sea levels were 10 meters higher than today and it was several degrees celcius hotter than today.
Yet, do people change one god damned bit? No.

Of course man, I'm pretty sure you're not a racist. Wolve has extremely racist views. He is not just prejudiced - he discriminates directly, as we saw in the posts he made. However, what you said about Greeks was racist prejudice, but I'm pretty sure you already regret saying it. I'm pretty sure you're not a racist - it's quite clear that you were a bit angry in this discussion earlier and simply said something that you probably didn't mean. At least that's how I see this. ;)

Capitalism can be seen as working to serve those above you while Socialism can be seen as working to serve those around you.

This of course is my semi-limited view.

Why would anyone want to start a company if the entire bounty was removed? The workers wouldn't even benefit from this, since they wouldn't have a job.

Let it be about producing stuff that you actually need, instead of profit.

I'm a Libertarian in a lot of ways. I believe in freedom and state's rights, and especially in the rights of the individual. I don't personally support gay marriage but the bible says not to judge, so I wouldn't vote to outlaw it. God gave us the freedom to live how we want, and I can't do anything to change that. Though I don't believe in abortion. Other than that I'm a wonky semi-liberal semi-conservative Franken-dude.

    I don't think that's considerable Libertarian.

I basically believe in as small a government as possible and people should have all the rights they can as long as they don't directly harm people (AKA abortion). I don't know what that makes me since party names in the US are just messed up in every way imaginable.

But is it not better for there to be an abortion while the baby can not feel anything, to stop the baby from suffering from being beaten, underfed and abandoned while it is fully alive and aware, such as being beaten, underfed and even abandoned?

Define your idea of property. What is allowed owning? What is not? What's your stance on capitalism and property?

you might also want to try this http://www.politicalcompass.org/test
It gives a quite accurate summary of your political ideas.

I'm not sure what I believe in when it comes to property anymore; that's one stance I'm not cemented on. I've tried political compass and it doesn't work for me, the issues are too generalized and I have weird stances on everything. I do think in general that as little as possible should be owned by the government. I'm more for state's rights or even private stuff.

I meant the federal government. I prefer the states to have more leeway over their policy. However, I wish people educated themselves enough that the government could be smaller though. People rely on it too much because they don't care to learn anything about it except the usual rhetoric. If more people knew about the government and made better decisions voting, we wouldn't need such a big government or these terrible monopolistic parties.

Apart from the USA situation, which i cannot know to a great extent, try to define your view by imaging to apply them in an imaginary society.
