I wouldn't rely on it too much, but yes - I agree that it is "quite" accurate. It's just a bit too general and not specific enough, but it's good for those who are new to these subjects. It helped me when I was starting to get interested in philosophical/political ideas and views. I'm still no expert though. It's been ages since I last took this test, so I decided to take it again just now and this is what I got:

Yeah, I've actually turned more and more left-wing over time as I find out new things about the world. I'm also a lot more libertarian than I used to be, which is something that I'm really glad about. Believe it or not, I used to be homophobic and prejudiced towards some ethnic group in my early teens... now I'm a male feminist, still straight but definitely not narrow (I support LGBT rights), and I'm completely opposed to all forms of racism. Btw, your result is quite worryingly authoritarian. This test obviously isn't 100% accurate because it's impossible to just classify everyone into perfect categories - people aren't that simple - but still, I'm a bit surprised about what you got. That result certainly reflects your views on homeless people.

Ok, here is something that might or might not spark a discussion:
Does the regular person need to be informed of the shady business of the state, in subjects that they do not understand?
I, sadly, think no. Because a lot of people can't handle the information. Look at what is the local news here in Denmark. Some Danish soldier moved by (he did not stop to watch) some Iraqis beating up another Iraqi. Really, the uttermost softcore side of a war. And you know what? People sitting with their feet up, sipping on some red wine in their living room, can not comprehend that the Danish soldier allowed such "atrocities" to happen. Sorry if this turns into a bit of a rant, but it really pisses me off:
You vote for politicians, who, with historically big support, send the young men of your country to fight in Afghanistan. You are, in other words, alright with being at war. But as soon as you are showed some guy being kicked, you lose your grip.
I support full transparency of what the state spends their money on, wether the politicians spend tax payer money on their own vacations and the like, but when you are so ignorant as to believe that kicking someone is an atrocity in a war, I do not think you can demand transparency of that war.

 

Well everyones different i suppose i used to cop a lot of shit at highschool from my teachers for being a massive supporter of Napoleon and the roman empire but thats just me i guess

You see unlike most of the right-wing i am willing to hear peoples opinions on things From the idea of a Autocracy to Capatilisim, but i do not care what my fellow right think if it is plain stupid like honouring the Nazi's That is just stupid.

This also (much to my old school mates dismay) leaves me at odds with the both the USA and the USSR for they are both equally flawed in what they stand for.

My basis of political opinion is that the largest and "best" empires where not founded on left wing ideals but through strength and honor imagine what the world would look like now if the roman and british empires had never existed

I wholehartedly agree mate, look at the vietnam war and as you said the iraq war people scream "NO WMDS!!! SO EVILZ" and my arm crashes into there face but i honestly think the Media should fuck off when a war begins

 

Well, I personally don't think that the state should exist, but you already know that. :lol: However, since I do live in a society where a state exists and has control over the population, I must say that I disagree with you. Also, I'd don't think I'll ever vote. There will never be a government that deserves my support, because I am opposed to the idea of government. I believe a direct democracy is much more efficient and just than a representative democracy. No individual on this planet can represent the views of another person without flaws, not only because everyone is different but also due to the fact that we live in a society based on profit.

I don't know. We can only guess and create very wild assumptions, but I think that a lot of interesting cultures would have survived and a lot of bloodshed would have never occurred. Also, maybe our societies would be a lot more libertarian than they are today - but that's an even wilder guess and one with less ideas to be feasible.
