All the time since Morrowind I've been playing Argonians. I like the lore of the race a lot and it's really funny when some NPC woman calls my character handsome. I hope some future Elder Scrolls games takes us to Black Marsh
Right now I have a Dunmer. I really want to play a Nord, but I have to find a good mod that gives a red hair color that I can use for her. I really want her to be a red-head but the default on in game is way to subtle for me.
I'm always a Breton in my games since I tend to turn my characters into spellswords, though I did go through Morrowind as a Redguard and all of my characters are females because reasons.
It is Skyrim, so of course I make NORD! ... though I always end-up playing sneaky sniper thief anyway. Man, I really should step outside my comfort zone...
I've played dozens of characters, but my favorite races have been Nords and Dunmer, which hasn't changed since I first played Morrowind.
I'm usually playing with a Nord. I don't know why, but it looks the best of all the other races, in my opinion, and most bad-ass. When I used to play Oblivion, I always played the Imperial and at one occasion I had a very long game playing as an Argonian. That was the first time I made a non-human character. However, I don't like them in Skyrim, for some reason.
I'm pretty new to Skyrim, actually, so I've only played with one character so far, and that character is a Nord. If I ever play the game with another character, though, I definitely want to try out the Khajiit race. The only reason I didn't choose that from the start was because I don't think the design of them is as great as it could be. I know, I'm picky as heck for thinking that, but I'll admit I'm very crazy about cat-like characters being well-done.
I enjoy playing as an Elf as you have a good look and also the Bosmor race are good at shooting arrows and live as simple folk like the Dalish in Dragon Age Origins and try and live in peace unlike some of the other races. The Orc one is good as well as in most games Orcs are the bad guys mostly and have evil desires like in Lord of the Rings or Warcraft, and in this game you can be the good guy which is amazing. I reckon that having a strong character is important and also a person should make someone who looks impressive in the game and most people fear an Orc just based on looks.
I usually only play Dark Elf, but since Skyrim was much Nord-centered and the entire story was about a Nord Dragonborn, I rolled a Nord this time around.
I'm an elf brother, just like everytime I play this game (Or any RPG really ahah) They just fit my playstyle to a T, the long range bowman, who specializes in two handed quick combat when up close. Oh and they are beatiful of course
My race is High Elf, I really love them because the kind of character that has long ears and evil sight is always fascinating.
I was quite a high level khajiit until I lost that save when I had to reinstall windows. Now I'm a wood elf. I find the melee combat a bit same-y, so I prefer to use stealth, daggers and bows for me!
I think I picked a dark elf, but I don't even notice and forget what race I am though since hardly anyone ever says anything. Sometimes I do get racist comments though.
I'm a practical person, so if I'm playing a warrior character, I go for a Redguard or Nord. If there's sneak archer involved, I expand to Khajiit and Wood Elves. I generally also roleplay a tiny bit, so making a warrior Nord or assassin Khajiit is pretty sensible for roleplay purposes. I almost never play High Elf because I dislike the lore behind them and I rarely play mages.
I love playing Elves or Orcs. I don't like having very human features as it takes away the fantasy of the game for me and I think my personality fits closely that of an Elvish creature when I'm happy and Orcish when I'm mad. LOL
That and High Elves suck unless you have spells to increase your magical defense. Mages are fun to play, though I tend to make them spellswords since I don't believe in having a flimsy robe as my only piece of protection against enemies.
I tend to make characters of all the different race/class combinations in RPGs. In Skyrim I play mainly Nord characters though as it fits more with the characters I tend to roleplay if their native to the area I'm playing in-game.
I pretty much always play Nords in any ES game. I think one exceptions was a Breton in Morrowind since they were pretty powerful in that game.
My character is a nord because I like to look as human as possible. Appearance is important to me when I play games.
Ever since Morrowind, I have always had a soft spot for Argonians. I love reptiles and sea life. Add that with a natural resistance to poisons/toxins, and you've got yourself a cool, scaly race!
