I am a High Elf, mainly because of the perks that an Elf gets as a mage. Although I was a nord earlier, and enjoyed my time as a warrior. My one-handed skills were super awesom. But, then I thought, maybe I should give magic a chance. Go the harry potter route Although, I instinctively always go for a sword, but I am learning how to be a super awesome mage
I always choose either Imperial or Redguard, for roleplaying purposes. I've never really liked playing magical characters, so I don't typically play as an kind of elf. And I think being a Nord is just too boring!
I'm always a Khajiit. I mostly earn my living by sneaking around and stealing things, so being a Khajiit makes it easier for me. When I decide to change things up, I'm usually an Argonian. Not quite as fun, I must admit.
I have a particular liking to high elves and nords. All my toons have been one or the other. Although you don't really look your character in the face alot I cannot stand having an ugly character like the argonian or an orc.
I think my first race was a Nord, and I hated that. I mean, playing as a Nord was fun, but I hated that I felt this sort of obligation to join Ulfric. I think I was Redguard on my second playthrough, and that didn't feel that different. That's why I'm choosing Khajjit for my tabletop session.
Yeah... i just chose to be a Nord because they looked more human. Even in fantasy games I can't always get myself to become like a Khajjit. I mean a cat-like face doesn't work for me.
SKYRIM BELONGS TO THE NORDS! Haha but seriously, I can't play any other race (well maybe Breton or Imperial) since I need to FEEL like I'm the character that I am playing. Being an elf, an orc, or a Khajiit really ruins the role playing for me, so I just stick to the human races. And since we're in Skyrim, why not play a brave nord who vanquishes his foes with his trusty blade and impenetrable shield?
