My first MMO was on the NCSOFT, and it was called "Exteel", what an awesome game, unfortunately it is now closed for ever... :/

Now that I think about it, before I went into EQ2, I played Asheron's Call when I was really young, but I didn't really know what I was doing, I just ran around hitting things and dying a lot :) I doubt I knew there were other people there.

Probably Runescape Classic. Good days, I remember talking to Zezima daily.

Ragnarok online was the first MMORPG I have played. I remember I was still in high school back then when me and my friends decided to play Ragnarok online. We were so fascinated by the graphics of the game because the environments are very colorful and vivid not to mention the background music it plays on every map are so relaxing. But sad to say things come and go, after a year in high school my friends and I were assigned on different rooms so we couldn't communicate well and we ended up abandoning the game and move on. Regardless of the outcome, I could say Ragnarok Online opened up a new horizon for me and my friends that, I am sure, up until now we can cherish and remember.

World of Warcraft was my first MMO. For the first two weeks I played the trial and experimented with other MMOs until coming back to WoW a few weeks later and staying permanently. Sometime after, I joined RuneScape and played off and on in between WoW. The monotonous self-fulfilling prophecy of endless grinding eventually turned me away from RuneScape. The only MMO I continue to play anymore is WoW.

My first MMO was World of Warcraft too. I've never heard of it before until my friend recommended it to me. He said it was awesome and stuff but I never quite liked it so I quit shortly after.

Runescape. Oh god, that game took away whole weekends as a kid. That game was such a brilliant game for its time. I used to just grind that game for hours on end so that I could brag about it in school. I remember being fascinated at all the different things you could do in a single game. Wonder if my account is still floating around somewhere..

Lineage II was my first true MMORPG. It's right after I got bored with Neverwinter Nights (1). It was a huge upgrade for me at the time... since the NWN server I was playing on could only have 72 players max, although it had 3 separated servers connected to each other through in-game portals. I was quite excited to see thousands of players at once in Lineage II, and the graphics was amazing at the time. Too realistic for me. :D

Unless you count Sims Online as a MMORPG. :) I thought it's more like a simulation game. Not to mention each house could only host up to 16 players, so I think it's not a true MMO... it's more like many mini 16-player game rooms connected to each other on the same server.

I played EVE Online before I played WoW. I still remember the day I started playing EVE. It was the evening before Christmas and I just sliced a piece of my thumb when I was cutting cucumber. It was bleeding very bad but I wanted to play EVE so my mouse was covered in blood. Good times.

I'm not sure if this counts, but when I was really young I played a game called Alien Adoption Agency. It was a game where you had your own Alien and, as the title suggests, you adopted him. You spent time training him up and dueling with other players. It was actually really fun at the time.

Runescape. It was really fun but soon got bogged down with them taking out the wilderness and assorted bad things. The memories were still really fun though and I made a lot of friends.

Runescape CLASSIC. Awe yeah. I loved it. I've moved onto much bigger and better games though long ago.

My first MMO was RuneScape as well. I was introduced to it in 2005 by a friend. I loved the idea of a virtual world with other real players. It was a new concept I had never heard before, and the experience was incredible.

My first serious RPG was Diablo and my first serious MMORPG was WoW. I did try a couple of different RPGs before that, but I didn't really enjoy them or play them a long time.

My 1st MMORPG was Lineage2. I played it when the 1st private servers (non-retail, free servers) launched and have been playing it on an off ever since. Everything about that game is pure magic to me. Discovering that you could play online with so many people, join clans and have pvp and grind together was an amazing moment for me. I get nostalgic whenever I hear the soundtrack from the game starter villages or grinding areas *sigh*

My very first one was Silkroad Online. In retrospective, it was a bad game. No endgame content, horrible, horrible grinding, and bots and hackers everywhere. Despite all that something was so catching about it, I couldn't stop playing for years. I still miss it sometimes.

Mine was World of Warcraft. I started after Burning Crusade came out. Then I took an MMO break for a few years, after which I played quite a lot of them, but never for long. Currently I have active accounts on Star Trek: Online, Vindictus, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Rift, Neverwinter and Guild Wars 2. Although I only consistently play GW2, Star Trek and sometimes Neverwinter.
