What weapons would be an awesome add to Minecraft?

A slingshot would be awesome, and even more so, a GIANT one lol! I think it would be cool to shoot at other peoples creations

 

Why not a mod that contains two versions of history: Medieval and Modern. In the medieval side , you had the basic spears, great swords, cannons, crossbows, shields and such. That would be awesome but then on the modern side you got the laser guns, security systems, turrets, teleportation devices and such like that. I don't trust guns, except laser ones. The problem with that, is that guns make the combat in this game very unbalanced. A creeper is supposed to be scary because when you hit it with a sword, you're scared that it might blow up. But with an automatic assault rifle, what's going to scare you? Only that you have enough ammo to waste all these mobs.

 

I strongly believe that they should not add any more weapons than they already have. Instead, leave that up to mods. However, if they had to add new weapons, I would think it'd be cool if there were spears that you could throw and shields that would help you block better.

 

I don't have a need for many weapons at all. My sword and bow does the job and I'm satisfied. They could definitely add more weapons for competitive multiplayer though!

 

I like the idea of modifying or customizing the current weapons rather than adding in a bunch of new ones. The game's core mechanics and features are fine, so they shouldn't be messed with. Changing what's currently there makes more sense.

 

I like the way it is currently, but it would be awesome if there was a mod to where you can add whatever weapons you want from other games.

 

I would really like to have a functional portal gun or at least something similar. Another cool gadget would be a remote controlled roboter to scout areas and mine in safety, while your character is in his safe house.

 

No, modern weapons shouldn't be added in my opinion.

A slingshot would be a great addition to the game. It can be built homemade and it only takes a few resources. There should also be a shortbow and longbow.

 

I don't think lasers will really be a great addition to Minecraft, it just doesn't fit in I think. I'm guessing more medieval like weapons, lances, maces, huge axes, spears, stuff like that. Also, tanks would be a great addition, I don't mean like metal tanks, I mean medieval kind of tanks as well, like the ones Da Vinci invented, the wooded one, stuff like that.
