What would be your favorite class or character in any MMO or RPG?

I'm not sure why, but since I first started playing MMOs I always go with a warrior tank based class. Its one of the more simple classes to use, but that's what I love, not have to worry about setting up 30 macros for every little thing that could happen. I just sit there, and take damage like no other class can.

 

I often choose DPS classes as I like to PVP, but I also create a support character so that I can help my friends and guild when needed in a party.

 

Support/Healer, been playing them since I can remember, and I'll probably be playing them until I stop playing games.
I love being a support pillar, helping team mates, and generally keeping everyone alive, it feels great being able to support a team.

 

I just picked any one of the ranged classes available, I've always been partial to them since it just makes so much sense to have the ability to kill off others at a safe distance (or at least do some damage before they get to you). I generally prefer archers to mages.... Actually I prefer just about anything to mages.

 

I have to say that I play all classes and I think that most of the time I like the characters that can summon. I always try all of the classes and pick from there which one I will play the most depending on the game.

 

When I had the patience, I loved healing whether that be in dungeons, raids or PvP. However these days, I prefer to DPS more.

 

Arthas/Lich King and Kael'thas. I really liked playing Arthas in WC3 and his change to the dark side was so...weird and surprising. One of the best moments in the game for sure!

 

I find myself usually playing support or healer classes. DPS gets really technical a lot of the time, playing support classes is a little less stressful. I have a few friends that play DPS pretty much always, so I make up the numbers this way. It's also something pretty much completely different to what people usually play.

 

I really like casters. Ever since I was young the whole concept of supernatural abilities was captivating for me. So that probably influences my decision in classes pretty heavily. There is something nice about just bashing people in the face though.

 

I like to play a ranged support class who can do a fair amount of damage and assist allies from a ways away from the battle.

 

I almost always play something that has magic. Right now I started a new character and I was trying to play a full warrior setup but I sort of strayed off the path and now I'm a full-on mage.

 

My Favourites are soldiers in In Mass Effect and Redguards in Skyrim, Dwarves in Lord of the Rings War in the North.

 

I like to play anything that heals, also. They usually aren't the strongest in the bunch, but I can usually get pretty far in the game if I can fight, rest and heal, fight, rest and heal, etc.

 

My favorite class is usually the warrior and paladin type characters. I'm not really into the caster classes that just run around in their robes throwing fireballs around. I like to get right in the face of my enemy when in battle.

 

Pertaining to the which class is my favorite, I would have to say paladin. From Diablo to WoW I have always been a holy warrior!

 

Thief classes are usually my go to.

 

I like taking on support roles where I can do a little of everything. I prefer multitasking to just one pigeonholed role because that's not how I personally am. In WoW I typically Boomkin because I can do pretty decent damage and provide OP support.

On GW2 I'm a guardian for the same reason, however unlike ranged support, this one is melee but the mechanics for movement flexibility makes the Guardian perfect for melee support. Each dodge roll I does aoe heals and I can use shouts to buff/shield my party.

 

I like any role that has a high damage output. I like to be able to take down whatever we're fighting.

 

My favourite class or character in nearly all MMOs and RPGs is a magical damage per second class, which is often a glass cannon. I love being able to deal a large amount of damage with my attacks, and damage over time spells are fun to watch if they have visual effects for the duration of the spell. I'm fine with having a low amount of HP, as I can normally carry a fair amount of HP potions, or just keep myself alive. While I normally choose a standard mage/sorcerer, with the normal elemental skills, I'm fine with anything else that is basically a magic DPS, too.

 

It's a toss up between a rogue type character and a fighter. It always depends on my mood.
